Johnathan Giles the car is not mine, but if you look up the owner’s UA-cam channel, djemzine2008, you should be able to find the info u need or ask him
I am new to modding cars, but your catless j pipe was there a tune for that? Because I’m getting the same catback with a mishimoto cold air intake, was wondering if I could get a different downpipe
Its not my car, but am familiar with subarus. Usually it goes if you just do a catback, no need for a tune, but intake and down pipe you 100% need a tune to run or else you risk damaging your motor.
Catless will definitely be louder. Hard to explain the difference in sound, I'd say its usually a bit deeper and louder. I'm sure there are some good sound clips on youtube of catless cars.
Sadly its not my car, just a car from a shoot I did. But the owner has his own youtube channel, I linked it in the description. He should have an install video on the exhaust
Its hard to say, I don't find it too loud but everyones opinions are different. You can definitely hear it, but its not overly obnoxious like a lot of straight piped cars out there.
okay good! because i was looking at the n1 dual catback and was going to also add the invidia catless j pipe but then was recommended the r400 and it sounds smoother but wasnt sure if it would still be loud and aggressive as the n1. whats your opinion on that? also thanks for the quick replies man appreciate it heaps
Bruce Moua so dose it really matter its the same things I have cvt 15 black I fun with it I don’t care if not fast or is a Manuel my car my build you feel me
I remember it being a cooler day, so could help keep temps down. My rule of thumb with subarus is if oil temp is above 90 degrees celsius, its good to go.
That fitment is immaculate
The R400 is a sick exhaust. I'm running the Cobb catback, but if I ever go louder this is it right here
Thanks man. The R400 is lovely and I couldn't be happier.
cars looking super clean!!! love the way your exhaust sounds too!! nice work!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Thanks dude! Appreciate it!
Looks great! and thank you no one has straight sound clips.
sounds so smooth. Amazing setup
wow sounds loud! That's a crazy good looking diffuser
I know... I get it. Twin scroll is the way to go. But damn... I miss the UEL sound. 😔
why’s twin scroll the way to go?
@YusufSiddiqui-c1u Way less lag and more efficient.
Damn that fitment though
Very nice dude!
did you get the protune after you installed the j-pipe?
not my car, but if you check out djemzine2008 on youtube (the owner), he would be able to tell you.
Yup I did. Protune right after I installed all my FBOs.
No intake, car sounds so much better with it
So its catless?
I would love to pick your brain about which air intake your using and which tune your on. At least for my 2018 CVT using a R400 catback xD
Johnathan Giles the car is not mine, but if you look up the owner’s UA-cam channel, djemzine2008, you should be able to find the info u need or ask him
Hello. I have question. Do you need tune for this? 🤔
Yes a protune is required for this setup.
Ok. Thank you 👍

One Lap Kings Media do you know what difference there is for sound between stock and a catless downpipe? Also how much louder is this from stock?
Catless will definitely be louder. Hard to explain the difference in sound, I'd say its usually a bit deeper and louder. I'm sure there are some good sound clips on youtube of catless cars.
One Lap Kings Media so catless pretty much sounds better overall?
Depends on who you are, but to me I find it better.
Which rear splitter is that
Owner said Ventus Autoworks. Its a local company to Toronto Canada
does it drone alot? did it drone with just the r400
I'm not the owner, so its hard to say. But in my time in the car the drone wasn't bad at all.
Nope, no drone at all on cruising and at highway speeds. The exhaust is resonated.
i have a cvt 2018 wrx with just the r400 and you cant ever hear it. it almost feels like a waste of $800 because of how quiet it is.
Where did you get your rain guards??
Sorry, not my car. The owners youtube channel is djemzine2008 if you'd like to ask there
Emerson Salcedo those look like the OEM Subaru ones.
Catless j pipe mean you don't have a cat back? Can I get a j pipe with a cat?
Not my car, but owners youtube channel is in the description, he has lots of info on the setup there!
What j pipe do u have and can you find a model that will fit my 2019 sti I just bought the r400
Dakota Arb sorry, this isn’t my car. Just one I had the chance to shoot a while back so I could let tell you.
did you reuse the stock hangers?
Sadly its not my car, just a car from a shoot I did. But the owner has his own youtube channel, I linked it in the description. He should have an install video on the exhaust
Yup I used the stock exhaust hangers. I may replace it with the Kartboy ones that are polyurethane.
is this loud in person? and when driving from the outside?
Its hard to say, I don't find it too loud but everyones opinions are different. You can definitely hear it, but its not overly obnoxious like a lot of straight piped cars out there.
yeah i understand, so lets say i was just walking and it drove past, would i definitely notice it? basically is it a head turner? aha
100% a head turner! Wouldn't be easy to fly under the radar if you wanted to
okay good! because i was looking at the n1 dual catback and was going to also add the invidia catless j pipe but then was recommended the r400 and it sounds smoother but wasnt sure if it would still be loud and aggressive as the n1. whats your opinion on that? also thanks for the quick replies man appreciate it heaps
What kind of j-pipe?
Invidia as well
Invidia catless j-pipe.
Wtf is it automatic!?
CVT
Bruce Moua so what sound better than the old wrx
I have the manual 17 wrx
Bruce Moua so dose it really matter its the same things I have cvt 15 black I fun with it I don’t care if not fast or is a Manuel my car my build you feel me
scottis because idk to how learn a Manuel
Protune or no protune?
Owner said it was protuned
Protuned with FBOs: TMIC, Charge pipe, EBCS, CBE, Catless j pipe, TGV deletes and EGR deletes. Stock airbox and BPV
Revving the crap out of it and it's not even up to temp
it was a 30 minute drive to that location and had been running up to 2 minutes prior to filming this, i think it we're good
One Lap Kings Media it's just that mine sits at about 100 when it's fully warmed up
I remember it being a cooler day, so could help keep temps down. My rule of thumb with subarus is if oil temp is above 90 degrees celsius, its good to go.
One Lap Kings Media yeah fair I'm the same just thought it may have been lower earlier in the vid
Kyle Morris funny enough the in car footage was shot before hand, revs were one of the last things we did haha
Auto, lame
hideous diffuser
