Before you wired off the bat from the top piece, did you tap it a few times to set it into the bottom piece better? Why don't you remove the slurry from the top of the bottom piece before attaching? Doesn't the wet slurry make a wetter circle in your clay that is tricky to pull past without thinning more than the rest? I have been throwing dry for 15 years. This method is much more to my liking than stiffening up the bottom first. Now to practice throwing thicker! Tusen takk, Mikkel! Dette var bra! :-)

The sections attach fine the way I do it. When its wet-in wet they glue almost instantly. :-)
Hi Mikkel what sort of wall thickness do you have in the first section please-looked about 12mm. ?
I amm not sure but 12-15 mm sounds about right
