Yes lower back is sore i moved wrong when i threw a cemment block months ago i have been working towards no stretching. In the Alexander Technique, but, have not relieved same with i my when lowered as you did here lowered my shoulder pain was helped, but, why would it still be limited in movement without shoulder pain?
I understand when someone gets more advanced they breathe more comfortable. But a beginner should start with somewhere. If a beginner dosen't breathe then they shouldn't practice at all. because they are nor fit?
Start with breathing naturally - which means, here, breathe relaxed and from your navel. Eventually and when you get the hang of it, you'll breathe naturally without 'thinking' about breathing naturally. This will lead you to breathing less which Simon is a general advocate for.
Gotta love it how all these self-anointed yoga gurus lash out under their breath against contortionists, circus artists and gymnasts. Perhaps because it makes them uncomfortable that the same or even much more amazing physical fitness can be achieved without any of the arcane yoga mumbo-jumbo. Which is kinda nagging away at their self-appreciation and their Unique Selling Proposition.
clray123 you have a wrong definition of what yoga means....it doesn't mean postures....its only a very small portion of it.... The postures and breathing etc exists so that one can lower their heart beat, BP and sit still for long duration of time without yielding to bodily comoulsions... Basucally...posture is a preparation for meditation ...
Loved it - thank you both

bobo toblo you're right, a contortionist can do everything a yogi can + a lot more
He's not a contortionist he's a Yogi who translates Yoga through a different medium
