      Yes, everything we do to another living soul, be it man or animal, is the same as doing it to God. This earth and everything on it are creations of God and should be treated as such.

    My dad passed away, alone outside in 6 degree weather, screaming for help but nobody came. Dementia told him to go for a drive when he hadn't in 2 years. He fell and couldn't get back up. I was 7 hours away. It was Christmas Eve, 2022. It guts me everytime I think about it, and that's every day. I wish someone like her had been there that morning. Grateful she saved one life.

      You have to trust your instincts, observation, and use spiritual discernment. I don’t think that woman or her boyfriend would have let that man in their home, especially around the kid, if this wasn’t a divine intervention. “Baby, use your head” is what my mama always tells me.

First of all, women can be mama bears when they have kids, so the fact that she allowed him in her home is a major blessing and sign of trust. Then, she fed him like a child. He told her he loved her and only had known her a few days. I genuinely believe she’ll look out for him for the rest of his life. @factsoverfiction7826 I don't know for sure because I stopped working there several years before this incident, but the resident cannot be prevented from leaving the house, because that is aform of abuse and the staff members cannot restrain them from leaving, the individuals who live there have intellectual disabilities, the reporter said that he has the intellectual ability of a 10 year old but he is by age an adult. If he chose to leave the residence the staff members cannot prevent him from leaving and they cannot leave the other residents unattended that means a charge of abuse against the staff member for each resident in the house left alone , this house had room for 8 people who lived there. The staff members job is to assist the residents in learning life skills, cooking, cleaning, and laundry, budgeting, meal planning, grocery shopping,teaching them the bus routes in the community, making sure that they took their medication properly. Some houses have 24 hours staffing Some do not.

I really hope they do get this prosthetics and asap. 65+ is a hell of a time to learn to live without fingers 😒. Not even to mention 65+ with the capacity of a 10yr old. Thank you for bringing him Chinese, that has to be a light that makes all the difference with what he is facing. 🙏
    You truly are an angel on earth. Embodying the christ spirit. 🙇‍♀️

      @@acestarone The theater shouldn't have been open, period. That storm was expected and they literally told people the night before to not go out unless absolutely necessary. They were just being callous, especially how they just let him walk out alone when his shift was over since the weather was already bad by then. They knew very well that he was disabled.

    • @ObserverAmanda
      @ObserverAmanda 10 місяців тому +2

      I would bet anything that the theater was not open. *Why* would they be if they would have no customers? *How* would it even be open if employees can't get to the theater? Not even any of the *EMERGENCY SERVICES* could travel in that weather so how could the theater be open? I forgot to mention this, but it was also Christmas Eve so it is extremely probable that the theater would be closed even without there being a blizzard.
      He probably follows schedules and is used to routines because of his cognitive limitations. He likely believed that he should be at work as he normally is on that day of the week without realizing the risks of walking outside in a blizzard or that the theater would not be open because of the weather.

      We can hope that but let’s not compare. And who’s to say he’s living with his family for things to be donated to them? After all, he was living in a group home when this happened. I pray for Joey and his sister who seems like a total sweetheart, but Joey didn’t get tickets or trips because Joey can’t use his hands. Let’s be hopeful and reasonable at the same time. But, may God bless all parties involved.

    • @anyaw340
      @anyaw340 11 місяців тому +17

      Why the "just like they were to Sha'kyra"? She and her family had absolutely NO responsibility to this man. They took on that huge responsibility, when even the government did not. She could've looked out the window and closed the curtains again that day, like other people probably did - but she didn't. As a result, a vulnerable man who was clearly about to freeze to death did not freeze to death. This was a great risk/expense to herself and her family. (After all, she let a random man in her home, which could've posed safety concerns.) That's why she was rewarded to such a degree. You say you hope things were donated to "Joey and his family", but he was living in a group home. Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that - lots of families struggle to care for severely disabled relatives - but I'm also not sure why his family would be entitled to anything. As for Joey, I hope Joey gets the support he needs. He now has no fingers, in addition to his other disabilities, so he certainly has more immediate needs than Disney World and a football game. Let's hope he's getting the RIGHT type of donations, not just donations.
