This is why I LOVE the WolfQuest devs! These people are SO DEDICATED to the game, they read every comment and are constantly fixing things. They are listening what the community wants. And that's what made an absolutely GORGEOUS game in the end that is still being updated and bettered after almost 10 years
I was just thinking this! Imo, WolfQuest is king in the gaming community and to this day, I have never, ever seen its equal. Here's hoping future games follow their example.

They are going for completing the full-circle story by next year I think 🤔 but even if you played the game through once, there is so much more to discover in the game. You can have a nap with your pups IN your den (you can enter them now). Plus, there now are like 20 dens per map, not only 3. And you have to move dens from time to time,when fleas get worse. But dont worry, the pups can keep up quite well. You do not have to carry them all the way. The maps are super big (7 times bigger than the old ones) and you can even battle with whole other packs. The best thing is: They are not just random wolves who just stand around, waiting for you to interact with them anymore. They often come in groups, they are roaming around freely, like you, and bite and defend their territories fiercely. And they friggin CHASE you out of their territory! They can literally FOLLOW you or escort you out. Or surprise you in your sleep 😅 Its hard to fight or kill them, but its so fun to snag and conquer their territories from right under their noses, hahah! Even more in multiplayer! The stranger packs are much bigger there.

I saw it coming man, I really did. This is why I am so glad I never invested my time or money into this game. As soon as I saw the disabled comments on Instagram and read their whack ass description, I knew something bad had happened and I was seriously infuriated by they way they stripped players of their voices and I have never even played nor downloaded the game! Thank you for spreading awareness on this, because people like me would have been left still very confused.
Same. I've been involved in one too many organizations and have seen how they "work." Best to just wait for a full game release before investing any money into it. Even then, it's a risk.
So many countries missed out on the “best” of the game, we missed 3 season passes. This is such a horrible situation, for the poor moderators and ambassadors. I had the game for a week and deleted it because I just couldn’t deal with the lack of content that was there in the beginning. So glad you made a video. I saw the discord server becoming “chaotic” and rightly so. I left a few days ago, I can’t imagine a company not open to constructive criticism or honest feedback. Disappointing.

I personally APK'd the game to play it early, as I saw from even the first Season Pass that we'd miss out on it. And it all went downhill from the first update I joined into. It's quite sad, really.

This is so heartbreaking. The mods and ambis deserve so much love and acknowledgement. I think I speak for everyone when I say we truly appreciate you guys and the work you put in. It speaks volumes to me how Molly tried to do damage control *after* kicking everyone out - when it was easy, when she didn’t have to work with others and confront her mistakes. She would rather try and save the defamation of her character than connect with and support those around her. She treated her staff just how she treated the game, without care. I believe that the “community etg fb page” is run by the same team because I got banned for having a difference of opinion with the owner, it wasn’t even a criticism, she just thought I should have posed my picture differently 🥴 and they also have the same “be positivity or get banned” rule. This was incredible coverage Rattle. Not only was the research extensive but the deep dive into toxic positive and the effects it has on people and as a community is such an important thing to be aware of. Wow, arvella This video was intense to make, so many people to keep in mind, so many facts and thoughts to try and weave in, and I'm glad I got it down okay! That means a lot! I do wish they'd listen, that they'd just take a breath, calm down and try and be better. An honest appology is all that's needed, a promise to do better is all that's needed. But all they focus on is how they are perceived, and this is such a damaging mindset to have. Crossing my fingers they realise this and make it right.
I’ve read every single message on the official Discord server since this broke out. I’ve talked to many of the people involved. I’ve been banned from ETG’s Discord server myself for leaving one (just ONE) constructive message where I respectfully said that they weren’t handling the situation the right way. I’m so frustrated, so fed up… I don’t know what to do anymore. But THANK YOU for making this video and informing people of what has happened. I’m hoping this will have a considerable impact. Also, just one thing; I feel like the focus at the beginning of the video was a little bit wrong. Being a moderator / ambassador for a game is voluntary work and how much time/effort you put in to it is totally up to you. I talked to several of them and they never expected any pay. I just think you put a little too much weight on «Them not getting paid» when that’s never what they expected either. The devs did nothing wrong there. The issue was gratitude and acknowledgement, not payment. Otherwise, perfect video. Again - THANK YOU.

A couple of days ago I looked for their channel, I'm not a sub anymore since I knew it would be a mobile game, I went there to talk "silly", I wanted to say that since I knew the game would be for mobile it was going to end up in pizza (local slang). But before posting I gave up, both because my English is not so good and also because I thought I was being a bit of a jerk 😅. I just didn't know that the situation was at this level, what a horror, after this video I lost all hope for this game.
This was amazing. It just mind blows me how they went from really acting like they care as a horse game to become so paranoid when someone gives constructive feedback. I witnessed a lot of the shit that went down once the mods and ambassadors started speaking up and it’s just disappointing in general that this is how ETG handles feedback. Since experimenting the game for 5 days a while ago the game itself was just shitty and it was shocking bf considering how much they were showing in the beginning but once you actually touch the game you experience the flaws more especially with the controls, graphics, etc. There’s no excuse for them to just hide behind muting and locking down a discord sever to be positive and for me in my opinion they just made the discord more unsafe because of how it turned into a dictatorship prison more than a safe place because of how ETG handles constructive feedback horribly. Thank you for making this💗 and in general I hope the game gets better, but in my opinion it could potentially die this year if they don’t face it. They can’t run away forever and that’s only gonna keep shooting themselves in the foot more if they don’t try to anything. With SSO & ETG going downhill it makes me paranoid about all the other upcoming horse games. SSO & ETG are just like them, they all start as the best game that has ever existed and because of greed or criticism, their community falls apart. I’m so scared something like that my happen to Astride or Tales of RR. We have to hope for the best and I think we’ll all be so happy when a horse game can finally pull it together! I don't think Astride at least will end up like this. They have stated before that they'd rather prolong the release of Astride than release a buggy and incomplete game early, so I don't think greed is a big part of their motives. They're also super interactive in the community and helpful
I was Silverheart in this situation (I have no reason to hide it), I can say that it was hell watching everything go to shit and being silenced for something that could have been so easily fixed. We were shut down, told our criticism and polite suggestions were null, and banned when we grew tired of it all. It's... Depressing, to put it lightly, that the game and devs that I grew to love proved to be nothing but shit and horrible beings. The game itself is beautiful, but it's bugged and the people that run it, corrupt.

I can't believe how this all went down, from such a promising horse game that many of us have been so excited to see. And it simply cracked because the Devs refuse to LISTEN and COMMUNICATE with its community. Push blame around, silence people and then shut the whole thing down. It's so disappointing that I'm kinda glad I didn't get the game until Global Launch and have yet to spend any money. No way would I want to fund a game that shows such disrespect for its players and the people that help them. Thank you so much for posting this and telling the the truth of the whole situation. This shouldn't be hidden, I don't wish harm to the Devs or the team but hope they get their act together.

I mean, you can’t appreciate the sunshine if there are no rainy days. And putting that kind of pressure on anyone is never okay. Accept that things might not work at first, accept that less then favorable things might happen with the game, and then work through it. Game design is an art, it’s a science. It takes collaboration and going back to the drawing board. Embrace the messy side of it because in the other side is a great game that many will love forever. And the messiness will make that victory that much more worth it. Messiness means it’s a real and you’re onto something if you keep working through it. Don’t be afraid to be perfectly imperfect. Too many people and games try to be perfect and all smiles, but’s it’s the ones that dare to be imperfect that are the special and cherished games.
Been bingeing your vids all day! Saw all this drama go down yesterday and my only thought was “omg I cannot wait for Rattle’s vid” From your vids on SSO to ETG I agree with your opinions all the time. Such well thought out and planned vids. I love it. And your humor is top notch. I was so excited for this game and followed the development of it for a while. When I first got to the actual “gameplay” it felt empty and lifeless, the controls were also so difficult to use. Getting further into the game I also discovered it’s very much a “pay to win”. Such a disappointment. It was deleted the same day it was downloaded. Make sure it isn’t white sage, as it is endangered due to over harvesting by white settlers, although it was originally used for Native American practices. Or as long as it doesn’t come from American soil since it grows in other places in the world.
So let me get this straight- going from player to ambassador to mod is seen as an honor by the devs, something you have to earn. So basically you do all that work and they reward you by having you do more work for free? Whoever thought of that sounds pretty full of themselves- like they thought the title bestowed by them would be compensation enough for all the hard work.
i remember the european launch and how helpful the community was. every stupid and repeat question we had they answered individually. I was so impressed that it stuck in my mind after that. Awful to see what was actually going on behind the scenes of this amazing community and how they were treated.
Beware of copyright abuse the developers could try and issue a copy write claim through youtube to unfairly take this down. Wouldn't be the first time a company has tried that though. It's fairly easy to prove invalid claims though so be sure to appeal if they do try and get it taken down.
The ending is truly fascinating. Many people speak up about the mistakes of someone else or accuse people of something they did or sometimes didn't. But this one video particularly proved to me that there is still faith in an exposure. You didn't just try to call them out, to warn people, to accuse them of things they did or didn't. Instead of going all negatively up in the moment, you give them a second chance and took the words of so many others into your call and I'm sure many really appreciated that.

I first played the game when the global launch, I thought it was pretty interesting for about 3 days until I realised it was quite boring. Also as you mentioned it was released elsewhere first, so those that played first will always be further ahead which gives an unfair advantage on scores. I uninstalled it not long after you made your first video about them. When breeding came out I got it again to see what it was like, I deleted it again, Immediately. You have to wait HOURS and DAYS? For a 90% chance of getting a crappy “ foal”. It’s such a shame, this game had/has such potential. But with high prices on items, no chance of getting coins ingame, hours of waiting for breeding, boring repetitive courses, jumping bar glitches and more. I have not got much hope that this game will improve.
The crazy thing is the mods never asked for compensation. All they wanted was communication which is completely free. These mods must be angles. I do things for free like do comissions of art for free and I look back and think I should have charged and I do not stay up all night for years answering questions. The patience they all had is incredible. Also the instagram comments are turned off on Instagram (probably other socials Im just not on them) which is like putting all the players in a time out and I am so fed up with this game and for me its only been out a month.
I was silently in the background for this, and this sums it up correctly. I am so sad this keeps happening to Equestrian games. I wanted this game to replace SSO for me (I’ve been playing SSO since 2013ish) and it seems to just.. always happen to equestrian games. ETG is digging itself a deep grave, and unlike SSO, it doesn’t have the ‘age’ or history with it’s players to pull through this. Not to mention my horse trailer is level 8 and my highest horse level is like 430ish 😅, kinda salty in general.

I was part of it and the amount of harassment from white nights was so big I had to disable my dms and visit my therapist more often. Discord didn't do shit about the death threats and doxing attempts I got just because I was always trying to explain why the game is not good. It was't huge amounts but still enough to lead me back into severe anxiety.
I mean what were they expecting? The game literally needed criticism. It looked released unfinished anyway. Poor people involved in all this discord hostility. So glad I uninstalled the game only 10 minutes of playing it.
I have to say this... if you can not handle constructive criticism... you are not ment to make a game. You have to listen to the community and learn from everything that comes your way. It’s so sad, I only said my opinion on my story like two days before, when everything exploded on Instagram. And when I said that I feel like the team is spreading the lies and the negativity. After a few Hours I got an dm from the team’s community defending them telling me I was an ugly ass b¡tch and telling me to go f*ck myself. They just proved my point. I hope etg is happy with the community they are building for themselves, because I'm no longer in it, I’m in the players community, the people that always support each other and that accept criticism. I saw this coming from a mile away. The game isn’t gonna make it to Christmas tbh. The in game prices are ABSURD, it’s clearly a money grab. It lacks hella content, they reuse jumping courses. They have stats in game that are completely irrelevant as of now. It’s been MONTHS you’d think we’d at least have racing or something
Lmaooo I was one of the first 30 OG beta testers. I played the game properly twice? A half-dozen times maybe (which amounted to creating a character and a horse, buying four others, buying all the tack available, creating tacksets and going on a trailride). It was okay for like, three days but then there was nothing else to do, so I went back to SSO and resolved to come back in a few months to see if there’d been anything added. (BTW I hate discord, can’t make heads or tails of it, too complex for my analogue brain, but the discussion in the server was not game-related, just chatting about real life and general small talk, blegh). I came back to the game a few months later post-update and my account had been wiped. Nothing remained, not only was I back to square one, but the only bloody functionality they’d added was incomprehensible training and jumping. Wow. So worth it. And it was still buggy as hell and downright difficult to play. I muted the server, vaguely observed Instagram posts from afar and haven’t touched the game since. And I *was* regretting it until this shitstorm broke out. Jesus. Do you recommend Rival Stars? I played that right at the beginning too, got bored and abandoned it but subsequent hype is making me want to revist. Is it worth it? Big fan of your channel, love your honesty. Frank discussion is always the best policy! Fuck Molly. Sean is a saint and must be protected at all costs, as do the rest of the exmods and ambies. I was a member of the discord before the game's launch, as a patreon supporter, and I left the server because of this exactly this, the cult-like energy that every criticism or bug report would be piled on with platitudes from what seemed like random players. I presume they were ambassadors, but at the time anyway, there was no title or anything for them so it was frustrating to report something for the Devs and have what looked like just another user, who clearly only had the same amount of information as I had, respond to me when they didn't actually have an answer for what I was reporting or asking. I never gave any of them abuse but I'd say for a lot of the abuse they got, it could have been helped by the Devs singling them out, giving them a more visible role and, most importantly, actually giving them more information than the general userbase already had. Also the toxic positivity is just always yuck.
I got blocked from their Instagram years ago for having valid critiscm. My cousin was a beta player and got kicked for sharing a screenshot from the discord where people were trash talking another girl I talk to on Instagram who also had valid critiques and basically begging the devs to block her too (which they did) any time you tried to say anything you got dogpiled by people for even daring to have a difference of opinion on something. I still wonder whatever happened to Goldy. She seemed to be the ring leader. I wonder if she even realized as well. This community and the devs have ALWAYS been toxic and it is so refreshing to finally see other people realizing it as well.
Not going to lie, I saw the sketchy approach that Equestrian had going pretty early on. The awful cosmetics you get at the start of the game, microtransactions, battle pass ... I will say though, I did one single time spend ~10€ to unlock the Nordic Battle Pass, because it had a lot of cosmetics I liked, and I only got it once I have already unlocked all rewards so that I wouldn't have any grind left after the purchase. At the time, I was happy with the game and I felt like I could give the devs those 10€ as a way to show my support. But I kept noticing how shameless their advertising was. Molly's Equestrian UA-cam "Let's Play" really only was meant to advertise the ingame cosmetics imo, and their Instagram "memes" seem oddly aimed towards children although they claim to make the game for adults. It's a shame, really. The game has a lot of potential, but I'm afraid it will die sooner or later with how it is being mishandled by its developers. I still log in daily just to collect those daily log-in rewards and maybe get a couple of coins or even a cosmetic that is worth several of those, but the current repetitive gameplay and the underlying knowledge of how the devs are acting really doesn't make me wanna play the game with particular enthusiasm anymore.
Like myself and a lot of others have said, the game has a lot of potential and if the devs put some effort in and stop focusing so much on making money, it could be a great little game! Just a pity that they're NOT doing that! I was actually excited for the game at the start! I created a character, enjoyed the more 'in-depth' gameplay and just overall enjoyed it. But the more I played the more the cracks started to show and I realised the game was there to squeeze money out of me. And when that piece slid into place the whole house cam tumbling down. It's sad though, like you said; it has so much potential.
Please do a follow up video of ETG in it's current state! It's an absolute wreck, I don't even play anymore, I'm just eating popcorn and watching the show unfold.
I just experimented what you said. I post a comment on the live chat of their season 5's trailer. All i said was just "All this for this ?" and guess what ? They deleted my comment... A real shame because i followed this game's devellopment and i see it fall in the pit of censorship. A great disappointment, i even regret my positive review on the playstore. Back then, i felt like they were listening, since a few moments after my review when i said that the tutorial wasn't clear, the improved it. But not anymore. It seems like they don't give a f**k about their fanbase, they just want their own vision and money.
Second comment but I really hope the devs see this. As you said at the end, the community and game isn’t doomed just yet. People are so passionate about this game and offer all this criticism because they WANT it to be better. They want to help make it the game the devs envisioned. The game is unfinished, but it has potential. But it’s never going to get any where if the team refuses to admit the abuse some of the most integral people suffered, and the silencing of the people who are playing the damn game.

This is seriously disappointing. I feel very inclined to not support the company or game unless something changes. I sorely regret putting my time and money into the game, especially how the creator is treating their workers and players.
For those that did not get their patreon rewards or who spent money and didn't get anything, many can open a claim with paypal. If enough members do this- Paypal will attack the company as a scam company. Easy way to shut them down.
People who think of constructive criticism as "bullying" have no business being devs. If you get THAT much anxiety from even the *slightest* hint of criticism, maybe YOU are the one who needs to step back. Good grief.
I followed the development of this game for two years, and I played it the day of the global launch. It looked like a really fun and cool horse game, and I and I'm sure everyone else was really excited about it too! It makes me so sad and disappointed that after everything, this is what the game ended up like. I really want to like this game. Everyone does! I guess some people just don't understand that players give criticism because they want to see a change for the better, not because they want to be bullies. I really hope that things will get better some day. smh
This is exactly why people who cannot handle criticism or even outright negativity SHOULD NOT be putting themselves in positions where they need to be able to receive any kind of feedback. Especially from large communities that they are CHOOSING TO SERVE, and ESPECIALLY online communities. If you cannot handle the discourse of having your work criticized, then you have no business making videogames. It's really that simple.
Watching this rn- I don't have much to comment but I wanna comment early Editing!! Yeah, I've had this feeling stuff would go this way. So far only 1 3rd into the video, and it just feels like they were trying to create something similar to the RWBY fandom where they'll defend the shitty show for their life. Just collect white knights and gain money as long as they could. Halfway through the video, this is just a ball rolling downhill. SSO kind of downfall speedrun lolol 1 3rd of the video left, yeah it seems like "be nice or get kicked" Nearly to the end, there's a saying in my language that roughly translates to "The longer a cat chokes the harder it scratches." I think it fits.

I genuinely enjoy your videos because I can't find anyone else who talks about these horse games/animal game genres and actually reviews them in a critical way. It's good to have someone who at least knows something about games, and apply them to these niche genres. Still can't believe all this shit went down in the ETG server. Not sure if you intend to strictly do horse games, but I'd highly recommend you covering Stray. Since most people coming to your channel like horse/animal games, I'm sure some would appreciate it and I would love to hear what you have to think on it!!

I can’t believe I thought about investing money into this game. If this is the way they treat the people who are volunteering time for something they are passionate about then these devs don’t deserve a single cent from ANYONE
Wow I did not know there discord was that bad, I had thought about possibly joining it awhile back, but decided not to just cus well the game didn't look all that great to me I'd be following the IG account since day 1 more or less but slowly loss excitement with there soft launch and just found myself loosing interest with it wow a new fun game that I can't play in country yay. Also Kinda of glad I did not join because I could so see myself getting banned just cus have a naturally snarky and cynical sense of humor which could probably be misconstrued as negativity when I'm really not a negative person my humor just comes across that way. Also just can't stand the toxic positivity I've noticed so many horse games have sso has this issue and I'm not sure why forcing everyone to be happy all the time ends with the game stagnating and your players turning quite cynical towards you look at sso very few players stay happy with the game. That being said I do hope things can improve for this game and its developers in the future.
LOL! I have the same issue, more dry but it can be construed as mean. I was once or twice shut down for being 'too negative' it was so exhausting. I do hope they find a solution to this problem! ♥

Witnessing so many kinds of drama within the horse gaming community, all I can do is laugh at the ridiculous nature from the devs. It is such a clown show that innocent mods and ambassadors have the unfortunate position to bear.
I think this is a well made Documentary type video over all however- this isn't the story... EGT didn't silence players for giving polite and gentle constructive criticism, in fact most of it wasn't that way at all. There was a large community of toxic players building up and saying pretty awful things to mods and devs like telling them to off themselves, sending threats, and completely bashing the game. does this mean that the devs handled everything perfectly? No but it was nothing to the extend that you are making it out to be. the whole server was filled with toxic players and trolls. many people were getting mad over things in the game that were not exactly to their liking, but what we have to keep in mind, this is a brand new game with a small team, no matter what changes they make to the game they wont be able to make everyone happy because that isn't possible. its pretty sad to see the story twisted in a way that puts all of the downfall and hate on the devs when thats not really wat happened...
Completely incorrect and I can vouch for that as I saw the entire thing unfolding in front of my own eyes. Everyone was giving constructive feedback all of which were delivered in a respectful way UNTIL certain members of the ETG team decided to handle the entire thing the wrong way. At that point yes there was frustration but even so there was nothing that was disrespectful, threatening or overly harsh for that matter as Kavalri have been claiming. As the receipts on rattles video show all of the aggression came from the ETG side not just with messages the sent but also the locking down if channels, the ridiculous cool-downs and the banning of players who were simply seeking answers / trying to help / asking for a mere thank you for all of the effort they had put in from day one. This is not how you treat a community who are passionate and merely wish to see a game succeed. As a developer myself I wouldn’t dream of treating a client how the community was treated. Heck I was banned from the discord server without warning for merely giving some feedback and pointers when I saw what was happening. A good company doesn’t ignore their customers and every customer has the right to ask for better service of the same issues keep happening time and time again. Every customer also has the right to express their opinion of the game so if you’re being told there’s a group of people trying to sabotage them you need to open your eyes. This positivity environment they are trying to push is toxic. They are gaslighting the remaining community as much as they can to keep you quiet in the hopes they never have to take accountability. So maybe instead of going along with the bull you are being fed actually have a good think about things with a fresh set of eyes. I’m telling you as a developer myself what you are being sold is the lie, and they fact they are now trying to pin it on people who were mrly trying to helps is appalling. What you’re being sold about being them being sabotaged and everything else that they are trying to accuse those they’ve banned of doing. is actually what they've been doing to the community. As long as you keep going along with it and sticking your head in the sand they’ll keep acting like children. They’ll keep making the rest of us developers look bad when THEY could have very easily taken responsibility and prevented the entire thing from happening.

We tried to ask nicely at first, but then when we were blown off and shown avid disrespect did we finally begin to get angry about it. It was ETG themselves that decided to be aggressive.
Too be honest I’m not surprised. The game always argued to me amazing and great design. But they never updated all the horses and humans didn’t look right they stuck with the basic plastic look.( what fair enough. It’s a mobile game. But I have seen better.) It was more odd a cash grab game than a game for fun. ( in my opinion)

Aww. I've been enjoying the game for some reason. I like the mindless grind. I recently got a 713 foal out of two trailer horses. Breeding a horse that is 750+ seems impossible. But, i really hate the insane leaderboard. How is there a 29 second grand prix win?!?! I don't understand. I don't even mind the graphics, because the graphics are better and more realistic than current horse games for phones. The game feels very unfinished though and making a huge game for phones seems like too steep of an idea.
When they released the "global" launch, I noticed that it was not released in Russia. I was very confused why they claimed the game to be launched globally when it was not. They did not respong to my comment asking why.
That's messed up, I'm sorry they did that! I don't understand why companies are punishing Russia like this. I get the war and everything, but man, doesn't mean I have to agree with what the companies are doing :\

I should add... I have friends who enjoy the game. But they don't represent the whole of the community. Taking an outside look is bad enough, I could only imagine what it was like to actually be there. I quit my old job because I consistently felt like I wasn't being heard. HOLY FUCKING COW, I did not know this is what happened, I was told by someone I don't know if it was a member of ETG or just a player on like Facebook or it may have been IG, that the Discord was shut down because of the PLAYERS bullying other players and posting things they were not meant to, but to find out it was the TEAM holy cow.... I'm lost for words, I know you say you hate people saying "don't like it then leave or stop playing" but if Molly had that to me and I had been one of the mods I was have been like "Ok bitch I will and watch how everyone else follows and your game just turns to dust with no on playing" I feel bad now for when I was on the discord before any of this happened and I used to ask a lot of questions because I was confused about how to train my horse or why I could not get into the other stages of the jumping because my horses did not have the right things, bla bla bla, If I had known all the stress they were having from the team I would have just shut up and found out how by myself, so I was one less thing for them to worry about. Also I have noticed I don't see Molly much if at all, there like a new woman doing the update videos, did Molly Quit or is she staying behind the scenes because she knows people don't like her much lol. I have tried asking Questions on Facebook, IG and Twitter (which I don't think they use anymore) but I get nothing back the ETG team really does not talk to the players AT ALL, apart from random comments here and there, I do love this game I can spend hours playing it, I do find the breeding annoying, like why must I wait SO LONG to get my baby, not only that having to wait ages after for the mear to rest that annoying too , they really need to sort that out BUT I don't think they will because they are probably banking on people getting so impatient they buy gold just to skip,

Thank you for yet another great video, Rattle! I had heard of all this going down in the ETG community and felt really disappointed, although I didn't really know the details of it. Really appreciate you covering all the important parts and breaking it down perfectly, just like you always do. I am glad I didn't spend that much time on this game and I will not come back to it in any near future. The developers ideas were great - execution not so much. Perhaps one day Kavalri Games can create a better game and learn from their mistakes. One can hope!

I honestly did not know of the things happening in the discord server. This brings up so much emotions in me. I feel so sorry towards every ambassador, moderator and player. I know exactly what it feels like to speak up about something you love and to speak up with respect and criticism. And to not be heard and be thought of as negative, always nagging and annoying. If the mind isn't taught how to process these answers, you get caught up, maybe start to believe yourself that you have nothing important to say. I hope you, Rattle, and everyone of the community, knows that you are important and know that what you habe to say is important. I hope you are all well or on the way to being well again.
volunteer moderators are always mistreated. several months ago, myself alongside the majority of a moderation team left a server because we were being mistreated.
This was a wild story and I’m so glad Im here to witness it. And such a neat documentary style that made me gasp and laugh all in the same video with this too. I loved the comedy spurts within it! Great job Rattle, for making such an in depth and open viewing of people’s stories that seemed to be silenced. I’m glad they came to you because you really did them a fantastic job here. In an off topic note, I’m scared of my discord servers. Don’t read the bottom bit. this it’s just a way I cope and give myself therapy! I’m so afraid of joining discord servers because of my Aspergers and inappropriate ways to start a conversation with a negative question about something. I know the silence and I know how it feels to be booted just for asking a relatively dumb benign question but it’s too much for some. And this really makes me glad I never stepped a foot inside their discord server seeing as how it is. This is also why I don’t step my foot into most servers. I don’t feel welcomed due to my disability and the way I type is apparently not so good either. It’s understandable but it’s also a little saddening that the way I type is seen as such to be silenced and avoided. So seeing this made me want to cry for many of them. I have chronic depression as well since I was 10, so this also could be one more push to add to the mixing pot of my woes and why I sometimes don’t understand that what I type is too much and not appropriate. Sighs but I’m learning and wanting to try my very best at getting better to be normal.
Unfortunately I've dealt with a person who acted just like Molly earlier this year as well. Spent years helping out in a project just for this "leader" and her friend to get mad at me because I criticized their lack of activity and them making decisions that fell back into old mistakes. But they took it as me just lashing out in anger even though I tried really hard to sound professional in everyway. I don't know what it is about these people lately and not being able to handle criticism but they really don't need to be leading projects, especially big projects like ETG that made off with a lot of peoples time and money... edit: moral of the story don't be afraid to tell people a situation is shitty and don't feel like you have to stay in a shitty environment there is always more out there
Criticism isnt the same with negativity.... I haven't been in this community at all, social anxiety and all that, but I do remember being a young girl wanting a good horse game way waayyyy back when the closest thing I had was Sims 2 Pets. So, I get wanting a good game to play its just... What is it about horse focused games that just fail more often?
Man animal dev team drama, it's always wild. I'm a developer in FHU, boy, the shit that went on here? NUTS BRO. Luckily things have improved in our case.
This may not mean much, but I have a similar situation that happened to me and it's an absolute dumpster fire with a sad but kinda funny kicker at the end. Indie game teams are not immune to stuff like this, and to all the mods and ambassadors out there, you're not alone. It's good that we talk about this stuff openly now, SO, HERE GOES. I run a fanfine since a month orso and before that, I was coordinator of another fanzine. Our whole team was basically booted because we shared reader feedback to our editor in chief. It boiled down to use explaining that her text, which was tiny and packed together, was hard to read for articles (but she HATED writing in standard magazine styles so clearly 'people' just hated reading and we were pressuring her...I'm not kidding that's what she said). After a TON of passive aggressive comments from her in very public channels, which was met with backlash and me, the coordinator, having to clean it up it ended with our editor in chief having a huge melt down. She disabled most staff channels, deleted others with NO warning and talked over me about transfering ownership to which I said "hello? I'm right here, just give me time." Did she give me time? LMAO NO. She asked 'You have a discord server right?" Which yes, I do. That alone was apparently enough for her to go 'then you're all set' and continue her melt down. The team was torn apart and everyone felt super insecure, betrayed and their enjoyment had been ruined to a degree. We lost a bunch of good artists and writers that day and I had to fix up a NEW server in the span of one whole evening. I cleaned up her mess once again because I wanted to with no compensation and luckily the rest of the team has been super grateful to be given this fresh start but it left a sour taste in our mouths because our now ex-editor in chief was still mud slinging behind our backs, people lost close friends in the aftermath. The kicker? the Editor in chief is a woman somwhere between 35/45 with kids. This stuff happens just about anywhere, I may not be a game dev, but me and the whole team sympathize with the mods and ambassadors. Learn from these stories please and thank you. Do not be like this.
This is why I LOVE the WolfQuest devs! These people are SO DEDICATED to the game, they read every comment and are constantly fixing things. They are listening what the community wants. And that's what made an absolutely GORGEOUS game in the end that is still being updated and bettered after almost 10 years
I was just thinking this! Imo, WolfQuest is king in the gaming community and to this day, I have never, ever seen its equal. Here's hoping future games follow their example.

They are going for completing the full-circle story by next year I think 🤔 but even if you played the game through once, there is so much more to discover in the game. You can have a nap with your pups IN your den (you can enter them now). Plus, there now are like 20 dens per map, not only 3. And you have to move dens from time to time,when fleas get worse. But dont worry, the pups can keep up quite well. You do not have to carry them all the way. The maps are super big (7 times bigger than the old ones) and you can even battle with whole other packs.
The best thing is: They are not just random wolves who just stand around, waiting for you to interact with them anymore.
They often come in groups, they are roaming around freely, like you, and bite and defend their territories fiercely. And they friggin CHASE you out of their territory! They can literally FOLLOW you or escort you out. Or surprise you in your sleep 😅 Its hard to fight or kill them, but its so fun to snag and conquer their territories from right under their noses, hahah!
Even more in multiplayer! The stranger packs are much bigger there.

I saw it coming man, I really did. This is why I am so glad I never invested my time or money into this game. As soon as I saw the disabled comments on Instagram and read their whack ass description, I knew something bad had happened and I was seriously infuriated by they way they stripped players of their voices and I have never even played nor downloaded the game! Thank you for spreading awareness on this, because people like me would have been left still very confused.
Same. I've been involved in one too many organizations and have seen how they "work." Best to just wait for a full game release before investing any money into it. Even then, it's a risk.
So many countries missed out on the “best” of the game, we missed 3 season passes. This is such a horrible situation, for the poor moderators and ambassadors. I had the game for a week and deleted it because I just couldn’t deal with the lack of content that was there in the beginning. So glad you made a video. I saw the discord server becoming “chaotic” and rightly so. I left a few days ago, I can’t imagine a company not open to constructive criticism or honest feedback. Disappointing.
yeah litteraly its just blank game all courses a repeated horse moods or character thingies do nothing just looks fancy even main thing jumping don't work u can put on red jump icon and still jump successfully
I personally APK'd the game to play it early, as I saw from even the first Season Pass that we'd miss out on it. And it all went downhill from the first update I joined into. It's quite sad, really.

This is so heartbreaking. The mods and ambis deserve so much love and acknowledgement. I think I speak for everyone when I say we truly appreciate you guys and the work you put in.
It speaks volumes to me how Molly tried to do damage control *after* kicking everyone out - when it was easy, when she didn’t have to work with others and confront her mistakes. She would rather try and save the defamation of her character than connect with and support those around her. She treated her staff just how she treated the game, without care.
I believe that the “community etg fb page” is run by the same team because I got banned for having a difference of opinion with the owner, it wasn’t even a criticism, she just thought I should have posed my picture differently 🥴 and they also have the same “be positivity or get banned” rule.

I do wish they'd listen, that they'd just take a breath, calm down and try and be better. An honest appology is all that's needed, a promise to do better is all that's needed. But all they focus on is how they are perceived, and this is such a damaging mindset to have. Crossing my fingers they realise this and make it right.

I’ve read every single message on the official Discord server since this broke out. I’ve talked to many of the people involved. I’ve been banned from ETG’s Discord server myself for leaving one (just ONE) constructive message where I respectfully said that they weren’t handling the situation the right way. I’m so frustrated, so fed up… I don’t know what to do anymore. But THANK YOU for making this video and informing people of what has happened. I’m hoping this will have a considerable impact.
Also, just one thing; I feel like the focus at the beginning of the video was a little bit wrong. Being a moderator / ambassador for a game is voluntary work and how much time/effort you put in to it is totally up to you. I talked to several of them and they never expected any pay. I just think you put a little too much weight on «Them not getting paid» when that’s never what they expected either. The devs did nothing wrong there. The issue was gratitude and acknowledgement, not payment.

This whole situation is tragic, and I don't think there is much of a come back from this. A lot of damage has been done and it will take a long, long time for people to forget what happened or even to forgive. If I did get anything wrong, don't hesitate to let me know and if you have a story to share from the other side don't hesitate to send it along! A couple of days ago I looked for their channel, I'm not a sub anymore since I knew it would be a mobile game, I went there to talk "silly", I wanted to say that since I knew the game would be for mobile it was going to end up in pizza (local slang). But before posting I gave up, both because my English is not so good and also because I thought I was being a bit of a jerk 😅. I just didn't know that the situation was at this level, what a horror, after this video I lost all hope for this game.
This was amazing. It just mind blows me how they went from really acting like they care as a horse game to become so paranoid when someone gives constructive feedback. I witnessed a lot of the shit that went down once the mods and ambassadors started speaking up and it’s just disappointing in general that this is how ETG handles feedback. Since experimenting the game for 5 days a while ago the game itself was just shitty and it was shocking bf considering how much they were showing in the beginning but once you actually touch the game you experience the flaws more especially with the controls, graphics, etc. There’s no excuse for them to just hide behind muting and locking down a discord sever to be positive and for me in my opinion they just made the discord more unsafe because of how it turned into a dictatorship prison more than a safe place because of how ETG handles constructive feedback horribly. Thank you for making this💗 and in general I hope the game gets better, but in my opinion it could potentially die this year if they don’t face it. They can’t run away forever and that’s only gonna keep shooting themselves in the foot more if they don’t try to anything. I also hope the people who were treated like shit know their worth and not experience something like this again because ETG as a company was unfortunately shifty and the truth says it all

With SSO & ETG going downhill it makes me paranoid about all the other upcoming horse games. SSO & ETG are just like them, they all start as the best game that has ever existed and because of greed or criticism, their community falls apart. I’m so scared something like that my happen to Astride or Tales of RR. We have to hope for the best and I think we’ll all be so happy when a horse game can finally pull it together! I don't think Astride at least will end up like this. They have stated before that they'd rather prolong the release of Astride than release a buggy and incomplete game early, so I don't think greed is a big part of their motives. They're also super interactive in the community and helpful

I was Silverheart in this situation (I have no reason to hide it), I can say that it was hell watching everything go to shit and being silenced for something that could have been so easily fixed. We were shut down, told our criticism and polite suggestions were null, and banned when we grew tired of it all. It's... Depressing, to put it lightly, that the game and devs that I grew to love proved to be nothing but shit and horrible beings.
The game itself is beautiful, but it's bugged and the people that run it, corrupt.
Hey! It's damned depressing that a company that had so many loyal followers would throw it all away to protect (I'm guessing?) their pride. The game has a lot of potential, but it won't go anywhere if they're not willing to listen what the players have to say. I hope they can turn it around, it's sad to see it founder.

I can't believe how this all went down, from such a promising horse game that many of us have been so excited to see. And it simply cracked because the Devs refuse to LISTEN and COMMUNICATE with its community. Push blame around, silence people and then shut the whole thing down. It's so disappointing that I'm kinda glad I didn't get the game until Global Launch and have yet to spend any money. No way would I want to fund a game that shows such disrespect for its players and the people that help them.
Thank you so much for posting this and telling the the truth of the whole situation. This shouldn't be hidden, I don't wish harm to the Devs or the team but hope they get their act together.

Toxic positivity is just that: toxic. It’s the most useless thing to ever exist. I mean, you can’t appreciate the sunshine if there are no rainy days. And putting that kind of pressure on anyone is never okay.
Accept that things might not work at first, accept that less then favorable things might happen with the game, and then work through it. Game design is an art, it’s a science. It takes collaboration and going back to the drawing board. Embrace the messy side of it because in the other side is a great game that many will love forever. And the messiness will make that victory that much more worth it. Messiness means it’s a real and you’re onto something if you keep working through it.
Don’t be afraid to be perfectly imperfect. Too many people and games try to be perfect and all smiles, but’s it’s the ones that dare to be imperfect that are the special and cherished games.

I was so excited for this game and followed the development of it for a while. When I first got to the actual “gameplay” it felt empty and lifeless, the controls were also so difficult to use. Getting further into the game I also discovered it’s very much a “pay to win”. Such a disappointment. It was deleted the same day it was downloaded.
All this coming to light just tells me I made the right choice of not keeping the game.

So let me get this straight- going from player to ambassador to mod is seen as an honor by the devs, something you have to earn. So basically you do all that work and they reward you by having you do more work for free? Whoever thought of that sounds pretty full of themselves- like they thought the title bestowed by them would be compensation enough for all the hard work.

i remember the european launch and how helpful the community was. every stupid and repeat question we had they answered individually. I was so impressed that it stuck in my mind after that. Awful to see what was actually going on behind the scenes of this amazing community and how they were treated.
Beware of copyright abuse the developers could try and issue a copy write claim through youtube to unfairly take this down. Wouldn't be the first time a company has tried that though. It's fairly easy to prove invalid claims though so be sure to appeal if they do try and get it taken down.
The ending is truly fascinating. Many people speak up about the mistakes of someone else or accuse people of something they did or sometimes didn't. But this one video particularly proved to me that there is still faith in an exposure. You didn't just try to call them out, to warn people, to accuse them of things they did or didn't.
Instead of going all negatively up in the moment, you give them a second chance and took the words of so many others into your call and I'm sure many really appreciated that.

I first played the game when the global launch, I thought it was pretty interesting for about 3 days until I realised it was quite boring. Also as you mentioned it was released elsewhere first, so those that played first will always be further ahead which gives an unfair advantage on scores.
I uninstalled it not long after you made your first video about them.
When breeding came out I got it again to see what it was like, I deleted it again, Immediately. You have to wait HOURS and DAYS? For a 90% chance of getting a crappy “ foal”.
It’s such a shame, this game had/has such potential. But with high prices on items, no chance of getting coins ingame, hours of waiting for breeding, boring repetitive courses, jumping bar glitches and more. I have not got much hope that this game will improve.

The crazy thing is the mods never asked for compensation. All they wanted was communication which is completely free. These mods must be angles. I do things for free like do comissions of art for free and I look back and think I should have charged and I do not stay up all night for years answering questions. The patience they all had is incredible. Also the instagram comments are turned off on Instagram (probably other socials Im just not on them) which is like putting all the players in a time out and I am so fed up with this game and for me its only been out a month.
I was silently in the background for this, and this sums it up correctly. I am so sad this keeps happening to Equestrian games. I wanted this game to replace SSO for me (I’ve been playing SSO since 2013ish) and it seems to just.. always happen to equestrian games. ETG is digging itself a deep grave, and unlike SSO, it doesn’t have the ‘age’ or history with it’s players to pull through this.
Not to mention my horse trailer is level 8 and my highest horse level is like 430ish 😅, kinda salty in general.

I was part of it and the amount of harassment from white nights was so big I had to disable my dms and visit my therapist more often. Discord didn't do shit about the death threats and doxing attempts I got just because I was always trying to explain why the game is not good. It was't huge amounts but still enough to lead me back into severe anxiety.

I saw this coming from a mile away. The game isn’t gonna make it to Christmas tbh. The in game prices are ABSURD, it’s clearly a money grab. It lacks hella content, they reuse jumping courses. My last hope is astride
Lmaooo I was one of the first 30 OG beta testers. I played the game properly twice? A half-dozen times maybe (which amounted to creating a character and a horse, buying four others, buying all the tack available, creating tacksets and going on a trailride). It was okay for like, three days but then there was nothing else to do, so I went back to SSO and resolved to come back in a few months to see if there’d been anything added. (BTW I hate discord, can’t make heads or tails of it, too complex for my analogue brain, but the discussion in the server was not game-related, just chatting about real life and general small talk, blegh).
I came back to the game a few months later post-update and my account had been wiped. Nothing remained, not only was I back to square one, but the only bloody functionality they’d added was incomprehensible training and jumping. Wow. So worth it. And it was still buggy as hell and downright difficult to play.
I muted the server, vaguely observed Instagram posts from afar and haven’t touched the game since.
And I *was* regretting it until this shitstorm broke out. Jesus. Do you recommend Rival Stars? I played that right at the beginning too, got bored and abandoned it but subsequent hype is making me want to revist. Is it worth it?

I was a member of the discord before the game's launch, as a patreon supporter, and I left the server because of this exactly this, the cult-like energy that every criticism or bug report would be piled on with platitudes from what seemed like random players. I presume they were ambassadors, but at the time anyway, there was no title or anything for them so it was frustrating to report something for the Devs and have what looked like just another user, who clearly only had the same amount of information as I had, respond to me when they didn't actually have an answer for what I was reporting or asking. I never gave any of them abuse but I'd say for a lot of the abuse they got, it could have been helped by the Devs singling them out, giving them a more visible role and, most importantly, actually giving them more information than the general userbase already had. Also the toxic positivity is just always yuck.

I got blocked from their Instagram years ago for having valid critiscm. My cousin was a beta player and got kicked for sharing a screenshot from the discord where people were trash talking another girl I talk to on Instagram who also had valid critiques and basically begging the devs to block her too (which they did) any time you tried to say anything you got dogpiled by people for even daring to have a difference of opinion on something. I still wonder whatever happened to Goldy. She seemed to be the ring leader. I wonder if she even realized as well. This community and the devs have ALWAYS been toxic and it is so refreshing to finally see other people realizing it as well.
Not going to lie, I saw the sketchy approach that Equestrian had going pretty early on. The awful cosmetics you get at the start of the game, microtransactions, battle pass ... I will say though, I did one single time spend ~10€ to unlock the Nordic Battle Pass, because it had a lot of cosmetics I liked, and I only got it once I have already unlocked all rewards so that I wouldn't have any grind left after the purchase. At the time, I was happy with the game and I felt like I could give the devs those 10€ as a way to show my support. But I kept noticing how shameless their advertising was.
Molly's Equestrian UA-cam "Let's Play" really only was meant to advertise the ingame cosmetics imo, and their Instagram "memes" seem oddly aimed towards children although they claim to make the game for adults.
It's a shame, really. The game has a lot of potential, but I'm afraid it will die sooner or later with how it is being mishandled by its developers. I still log in daily just to collect those daily log-in rewards and maybe get a couple of coins or even a cosmetic that is worth several of those, but the current repetitive gameplay and the underlying knowledge of how the devs are acting really doesn't make me wanna play the game with particular enthusiasm anymore.
They've been removing bug reports too, for months, since before global.

Like myself and a lot of others have said, the game has a lot of potential and if the devs put some effort in and stop focusing so much on making money, it could be a great little game! Just a pity that they're NOT doing that! I was actually excited for the game at the start! I created a character, enjoyed the more 'in-depth' gameplay and just overall enjoyed it. But the more I played the more the cracks started to show and I realised the game was there to squeeze money out of me. And when that piece slid into place the whole house cam tumbling down. It's sad though, like you said; it has so much potential.

I just experimented what you said. I post a comment on the live chat of their season 5's trailer. All i said was just "All this for this ?" and guess what ? They deleted my comment... A real shame because i followed this game's devellopment and i see it fall in the pit of censorship. A great disappointment, i even regret my positive review on the playstore.
Back then, i felt like they were listening, since a few moments after my review when i said that the tutorial wasn't clear, the improved it. But not anymore. It seems like they don't give a f**k about their fanbase, they just want their own vision and money.
Second comment but I really hope the devs see this. As you said at the end, the community and game isn’t doomed just yet. People are so passionate about this game and offer all this criticism because they WANT it to be better. They want to help make it the game the devs envisioned. The game is unfinished, but it has potential. But it’s never going to get any where if the team refuses to admit the abuse some of the most integral people suffered, and the silencing of the people who are playing the damn game.

I followed the development of this game for two years, and I played it the day of the global launch. It looked like a really fun and cool horse game, and I and I'm sure everyone else was really excited about it too! It makes me so sad and disappointed that after everything, this is what the game ended up like. I really want to like this game. Everyone does! I guess some people just don't understand that players give criticism because they want to see a change for the better, not because they want to be bullies. Wow I did not know there discord was that bad, I had thought about possibly joining it awhile back, but decided not to just cus well the game didn't look all that great to me I'd be following the IG account since day 1 more or less but slowly loss excitement with there soft launch and just found myself loosing interest with it wow a new fun game that I can't play in country yay.
Also Kinda of glad I did not join because I could so see myself getting banned just cus have a naturally snarky and cynical sense of humor which could probably be misconstrued as negativity when I'm really not a negative person my humor just comes across that way.
Also just can't stand the toxic positivity I've noticed so many horse games have sso has this issue and I'm not sure why forcing everyone to be happy all the time ends with the game stagnating and your players turning quite cynical towards you look at sso very few players stay happy with the game.
That being said I do hope things can improve for this game and its developers in the future.

Witnessing so many kinds of drama within the horse gaming community, all I can do is laugh at the ridiculous nature from the devs. It is such a clown show that innocent mods and ambassadors have the unfortunate position to bear.
I think this is a well made Documentary type video over all however- this isn't the story... EGT didn't silence players for giving polite and gentle constructive criticism, in fact most of it wasn't that way at all. There was a large community of toxic players building up and saying pretty awful things to mods and devs like telling them to off themselves, sending threats, and completely bashing the game. does this mean that the devs handled everything perfectly? No but it was nothing to the extend that you are making it out to be. the whole server was filled with toxic players and trolls. many people were getting mad over things in the game that were not exactly to their liking, but what we have to keep in mind, this is a brand new game with a small team, no matter what changes they make to the game they wont be able to make everyone happy because that isn't possible. its pretty sad to see the story twisted in a way that puts all of the downfall and hate on the devs when thats not really wat happened...
Completely incorrect and I can vouch for that as I saw the entire thing unfolding in front of my own eyes.
Everyone was giving constructive feedback all of which were delivered in a respectful way UNTIL certain members of the ETG team decided to handle the entire thing the wrong way. At that point yes there was frustration but even so there was nothing that was disrespectful, threatening or overly harsh for that matter as Kavalri have been claiming.
As the receipts on rattles video show all of the aggression came from the ETG side not just with messages the sent but also the locking down if channels, the ridiculous cool-downs and the banning of players who were simply seeking answers / trying to help / asking for a mere thank you for all of the effort they had put in from day one. This is not how you treat a community who are passionate and merely wish to see a game succeed.
As a developer myself I wouldn’t dream of treating a client how the community was treated. Heck I was banned from the discord server without warning for merely giving some feedback and pointers when I saw what was happening. A good company doesn’t ignore their customers and every customer has the right to ask for better service of the same issues keep happening time and time again.
Every customer also has the right to express their opinion of the game so if you’re being told there’s a group of people trying to sabotage them you need to open your eyes. This positivity environment they are trying to push is toxic. They are gaslighting the remaining community as much as they can to keep you quiet in the hopes they never have to take accountability.
So maybe instead of going along with the bull you are being fed actually have a good think about things with a fresh set of eyes. I’m telling you as a developer myself what you are being sold is the lie, and they fact they are now trying to pin it on people who were mrly trying to helps is appalling. What you’re being sold about being them being sabotaged and everything else that they are trying to accuse those they’ve banned of doing. is actually what they've been doing to the community.
As long as you keep going along with it and sticking your head in the sand they’ll keep acting like children. They’ll keep making the rest of us developers look bad when THEY could have very easily taken responsibility and prevented the entire thing from happening.
@@rhiannacamp8177 Exactly, thank you. I was in this, and I mean right in the middle, and that's exactly how it went. We tried to ask nicely at first, but then when we were blown off and shown avid disrespect did we finally begin to get angry about it. It was ETG themselves that decided to be aggressive.
Too be honest I’m not surprised. The game always argued to me amazing and great design. But they never updated all the horses and humans didn’t look right they stuck with the basic plastic look.( what fair enough. It’s a mobile game. But I have seen better.) It was more odd a cash grab game than a game for fun. ( in my opinion)

Aww. I've been enjoying the game for some reason. I like the mindless grind. I recently got a 713 foal out of two trailer horses. Breeding a horse that is 750+ seems impossible. But, i really hate the insane leaderboard. How is there a 29 second grand prix win?!?! I don't understand. I don't even mind the graphics, because the graphics are better and more realistic than current horse games for phones. The game feels very unfinished though and making a huge game for phones seems like too steep of an idea.
When they released the "global" launch, I noticed that it was not released in Russia. I was very confused why they claimed the game to be launched globally when it was not. They did not respong to my comment asking why.
That's messed up, I'm sorry they did that! I don't understand why companies are punishing Russia like this. I get the war and everything, but man, doesn't mean I have to agree with what the companies are doing :\

I wanted to play the game when it finally released to the US, but after I saw that, I just can't support a company that thinks like that.

I was told by someone I don't know if it was a member of ETG or just a player on like Facebook or it may have been IG, that the Discord was shut down because of the PLAYERS bullying other players and posting things they were not meant to,
but to find out it was the TEAM holy cow.... I'm lost for words,
I know you say you hate people saying "don't like it then leave or stop playing" but if Molly had that to me and I had been one of the mods I was have been like "Ok bitch I will and watch how everyone else follows and your game just turns to dust with no on playing"
I feel bad now for when I was on the discord before any of this happened and I used to ask a lot of questions because I was confused about how to train my horse or why I could not get into the other stages of the jumping because my horses did not have the right things, bla bla bla,
If I had known all the stress they were having from the team I would have just shut up and found out how by myself, so I was one less thing for them to worry about.
Also I have noticed I don't see Molly much if at all, there like a new woman doing the update videos, did Molly Quit or is she staying behind the scenes because she knows people don't like her much lol.
I have tried asking Questions on Facebook, IG and Twitter (which I don't think they use anymore) but I get nothing back the ETG team really does not talk to the players AT ALL, apart from random comments here and there,
I do love this game I can spend hours playing it, I do find the breeding annoying, like why must I wait SO LONG to get my baby, not only that having to wait ages after for the mear to rest that annoying too , they really need to sort that out BUT I don't think they will because they are probably banking on people getting so impatient they buy gold just to skip,

Thank you for yet another great video, Rattle! I had heard of all this going down in the ETG community and felt really disappointed, although I didn't really know the details of it. Really appreciate you covering all the important parts and breaking it down perfectly, just like you always do. I am glad I didn't spend that much time on this game and I will not come back to it in any near future. The developers ideas were great - execution not so much. Perhaps one day Kavalri Games can create a better game and learn from their mistakes. One can hope!

I honestly did not know of the things happening in the discord server. This brings up so much emotions in me. I feel so sorry towards every ambassador, moderator and player. I know exactly what it feels like to speak up about something you love and to speak up with respect and criticism. And to not be heard and be thought of as negative, always nagging and annoying. If the mind isn't taught how to process these answers, you get caught up, maybe start to believe yourself that you have nothing important to say.
I hope you, Rattle, and everyone of the community, knows that you are important and know that what you habe to say is important.

I’m so afraid of joining discord servers because of my Aspergers and inappropriate ways to start a conversation with a negative question about something.
I know the silence and I know how it feels to be booted just for asking a relatively dumb benign question but it’s too much for some. And this really makes me glad I never stepped a foot inside their discord server seeing as how it is. This is also why I don’t step my foot into most servers. I don’t feel welcomed due to my disability and the way I type is apparently not so good either. It’s understandable but it’s also a little saddening that the way I type is seen as such to be silenced and avoided. So seeing this made me want to cry for many of them.
I have chronic depression as well since I was 10, so this also could be one more push to add to the mixing pot of my woes and why I sometimes don’t understand that what I type is too much and not appropriate. Sighs but I’m learning and wanting to try my very best at getting better to be normal.

Unfortunately I've dealt with a person who acted just like Molly earlier this year as well. Spent years helping out in a project just for this "leader" and her friend to get mad at me because I criticized their lack of activity and them making decisions that fell back into old mistakes. But they took it as me just lashing out in anger even though I tried really hard to sound professional in everyway. I don't know what it is about these people lately and not being able to handle criticism but they really don't need to be leading projects, especially big projects like ETG that made off with a lot of peoples time and money...
edit: moral of the story don't be afraid to tell people a situation is shitty and don't feel like you have to stay in a shitty environment there is always more out there

Man animal dev team drama, it's always wild. I'm a developer in FHU, boy, the shit that went on here? NUTS BRO. Luckily things have improved in our case.
This may not mean much, but I have a similar situation that happened to me and it's an absolute dumpster fire with a sad but kinda funny kicker at the end. Indie game teams are not immune to stuff like this, and to all the mods and ambassadors out there, you're not alone. It's good that we talk about this stuff openly now, SO, HERE GOES.
I run a fanfine since a month orso and before that, I was coordinator of another fanzine. Our whole team was basically booted because we shared reader feedback to our editor in chief. It boiled down to use explaining that her text, which was tiny and packed together, was hard to read for articles (but she HATED writing in standard magazine styles so clearly 'people' just hated reading and we were pressuring her...I'm not kidding that's what she said). After a TON of passive aggressive comments from her in very public channels, which was met with backlash and me, the coordinator, having to clean it up it ended with our editor in chief having a huge melt down. She disabled most staff channels, deleted others with NO warning and talked over me about transfering ownership to which I said "hello? I'm right here, just give me time."
Did she give me time? LMAO NO. She asked 'You have a discord server right?" Which yes, I do. That alone was apparently enough for her to go 'then you're all set' and continue her melt down. The team was torn apart and everyone felt super insecure, betrayed and their enjoyment had been ruined to a degree. We lost a bunch of good artists and writers that day and I had to fix up a NEW server in the span of one whole evening. I cleaned up her mess once again because I wanted to with no compensation and luckily the rest of the team has been super grateful to be given this fresh start but it left a sour taste in our mouths because our now ex-editor in chief was still mud slinging behind our backs, people lost close friends in the aftermath.
The kicker? the Editor in chief is a woman somwhere between 35/45 with kids.
This stuff happens just about anywhere, I may not be a game dev, but me and the whole team sympathize with the mods and ambassadors. Learn from these stories please and thank you. Do not be like this.
