- In today’s video we head off to lift a 2nd cut pit for one of our customers. I leave 1st with the rake to get a head start on the crew and uncle Ian and bro swap with me after a few hours so I can go back to the pit as the jag rolls unit the field. On the long draw we had 5 drawing we finished up the long draw in the dark and started the short draw the next morning trying to avoid the heat of the day. 2 drawing for the short draw and we got it finished up rolled and headed on home another one ticked off the list.

Deutz all the way, windscreen open and listen to the music of the engine. Dx 6.10, DX 6.50, agrostar 6.21...some job! Dry external disc breaks though, not great for hauling and dry grass building up by the brake discs at the back axle 😬

Best airflow is Fiat of course 😉 both doors open backwards and can be opened halfway which lets lots of air in. Them Italians know how to work in the heat. 👍
Being able to hold the doors open is class, especially when you don't have a supercomfort cab 😆

Phil them 3000 series cabs are just the same as the case IH XL cabs, really good for air flow

Very tasty job. Great skill in building up those pits. Anyone can run a traer around or even a harvester but the skill is in the finished product
Case ih XL cab in a 956xl, 1455xl, 885xl, 985xl, have the windows opening on the doors like the 3000 series massey, with sunroof. Savage ventilation, keeps you cool and you can get a nice exaust sound too.
I'd be looking for the fuse of that beeper Phil 🤣🤣

I’d agree with the 3000 cab windows, Fiats let in loads of dust off the front wheels, also 3000 had best ever linkage controls
International 956xl has same window design as you have there I really like it
IH had the XL cab in 1981, 6 years before MF launched the 3000 series
Zetor 6320/40 with the windows that open out on the doors

New holland t5060 have one of the best cabs in my opinion their side windows are really good and they are very spacious

You can get a wee latch piece that holds the door of the Massey 300 series cab open about 3 inches. Works wonders.

Yea the new new Holland’s an cases you do need the AC on the whole time when the weathers hot.

Renault Temis or older series . Both doors latch open and act as a wind tunnel. Renault Ares with the full roof opening forward is great too.

Case international 856xl plus side window in the doors great for air flow in the summer
Fiat Supercomfort. Open the doors halfway and open the roofhatch and you can enjoy the breeze and the grunt of the engine :)

John deere SG2 cab best cab at its time and still is. Open door and side windows.
Case xl cab. Similar windows to 3000 series. I’d say they open a little wider though

We have John Deere R series they have just got the sunroof and back window but ur could wear a jumper in them when u put on the air con
Our new holland ts115 has just back window and sunroof but the air conditioning is class
Fiat F140 was the sweetest I drove for air flow. Smooth on the road too.
Was in the field with a t6070 single big door and a disaster of a sunroof, heats up the steering wheel and sunburns your forearms 😆 last decent blue cab was the 60 & 70 series fords they went frameless after that🙈
Reno the front doors fully open frontwards keeping the back closed, also drove a landini powermondial the front window could could open like the back window great Job for cooling slightly noisy though
Best air flow is the Massey 290 take both doors off open sunroof that opens the opposite way to most tractors so it opens forwards to let more air in and take off the back window
Fiat F series there is a latch on both doors to hold them open it screws tight so they won't come loose
A old school deutz fahr tractor for the front window opens fully plus you an shut the front door 4 inches open with a bar latch an you can open the two side windows an rear window as well more a problem if you want to keep anything in the cab from caps till rags everything goes out the back window if not pinned down 🤣🤣
I drove Ford 6600 with a front opening windows or Ford force with lift off doors regards N Ireland .
Old school Ford's are the best tractors full stop. Don't mind those J.D's or cases
I think the john deeres with the sg2 cab have the best air flow I think with 2 side windows sun roof and a half door

Ursus 912/914/1012/1014/1222/1224 would have the best air flow in my opinion.
Suicide doors that can be locked open 6 inches that funnel in the air on both sides. Side windows that open too , roof hatch too.
Phil, the 3000 series isnt a patch on them for air flow, i drove a 3650 at silage for 2 seasons and spent a lot of time driving ursus ,would prefer to take the ursus in warm weather

Massey 390 2wd has the pins to hold the door open a bit
The fiat supercomfort cab with the sun roof and the side windows they came with a hook inside the door than you latched into the door handle and the door would open half way kinda like the side windows on the 3075 but takes in far more air
Ursus and crystal, just latch the doors open and tilt the roof front up, all the air con you'll ever need.

I'm going to get ripped here. But for a nice airflow in a cab. The explorer cab fitted to later David brown and Marshall tractors. The case mx cab was good too. The older Renault was good because the door locked back full open. But was dusty and noisy

Case 885xl the windows on them like the 3075 and it has sun roof which along with the windows leaves a serious draft coming in on a hot day
New Holland TM, two side windows open, air circulating around you. Redrock loaders came with a pin on the door frames that you latchee the doors onto which left a gap of a couple of inches. Great job rather than having the doors opened right back letting dust in. The 4 pillar cab with no windows is criminal when the air con breaks. It would actually smother you. And you daren't drive with the door open as they're too big and heavy to be hanging on small hinges bouncing over ground.
Our ursus has the pin on the door it would freeze you on a hot day

CaseIH had the same set up on the XL cab, I actually think massy copied the XL cab. Deutz cab with the front window open was the best ever
Yes, IH launched the XL cab in 1981. MF 3000 series came out in 1987
The best by a mile phil the international or caseih xl cab windows in the same place as your massseys but a lot bigger and open out out lot wider let in far more air

we had an old 2140 (81) vintage , that fucker didnt have a stich of glass in the cab , so it was always cool , even in the dead of witer !!!!!
Phil I keep my big window(door) closed and my vent windows closed and the ac is blasting 🥶 you have the best vents I have seen you would die in my tractors without ac so we don't let them stay down

About the thing with airflow in the tractor the 3000 series is lovely for it but I drew grass in a 2720 and there like a glass house the side window open and I used to have the big door cracked open a small bit I made a bar that went into the door latch and catches the hook on the cab for the door and she was open about 5 inches so enough air got I.ln
