Hi Liz It took me forever to figure all of this out. I used to go out on my days off and just buy trendy things that were on sale. I never had things to wear. Now, I liked getting dressed. I loved the things you picked as your basics. I think my new to me black faux leather blazer is going to be worn so many ways. I love to that you said when you buy something new it needs to be versatile so you can wear it at least three ways. Liz, I could have saved a lot of money too, if someone would have taught this a long time ago. I love that butterscotch blazer and love that purse. I don’t know why, but I don’t even like the designer bags like Louie Vuitton and some of the others. Give me a pretty bag like yours any time. Thanks Liz.

$300 purse not $3000. YES. i think some older(older than me and i'm 64) ladies at church may carry those bags, but they probably give more than that. anyway, i love purses but i've lost admiration for expensive purses and cars.

This is so interesting, practical and helpful. Oversized blazers have been a thing since Balmain did them eight years ago! The pandemic threw everything out of whack, so we kinda started again, but I doubt oversized is going away anytime soon. Like skinnies, it may go off hyper-trend but never out. They flatter so many women. Plus you can wear your husband’s! Absolutely love the idea of the neutral flat - I can already see so many outfit combos I can make with it. Lot of gold ideas in your cutaways, too. Thank you ❤️

The oversized blazers have been around since the 80s, with lapels and shoulderpad variations over the years. They are a bit tricky for formal wear though. If you can only afford one, then, get a classic fitted one. More versatile.
What if you can’t wear slip on shoes because he always slip off the back of the EU plus if you’ve got any steps and issues you can’t wear them I’ve got to be late soaps so how do we go on you’re not dealing with people feed just dealing with fashion that everybody can wear them sort of shoes I’d love to wear the black can’t wear them out of lace ups so can you find some shoes suitable for hers is there everybody else please thank you😊

I find that I can't keep white clean and it starts looking grunge!
If you’re washing whites separately and they’re still not bright; it could be your water, the detergent you’re using, or the dryer making them dingy. Try changing one item at a time. I find hang drying whites keeps them brighter longer.😊🌻
I probably have 10 white tee shirts. When I find a brand I like, I’ll buy multiples.
That is smart! I really feel like you can’t have too many. They’re so versatile!🌸 I like trying new ones out so I have several different brands and replace as needed😉 but getting some extras during a great sale is a good idea.

I thought this was great. I am busty and rarely wear a blouse that buttons down. Every capsule has them and I have a white one and a stripe but Never wore it. Or maybe one time with a t under.
I used to have that issue and would ALWAYS pin my top so that I didn’t worry about it. Also if you’ve never tried “The Shirt” it has the buttons closer together to help with that issue.

Thank you! Yes some designer bags don’t have zipper tops, but I usually use an insert of some type that has my contents zipped up. And depending where you live or travel having a safely secure bag it’s important as well.😊
Please don't take this as critisism I don't like correcting anyone. You do such a great job. But I just heard you say something that I was corrected on the other day. A button up shirt is like a men's shirt you might button up 3-4 buttons on the top of the shirt. A women's shirt that has buttons all the way down is a button down shirt.💕
No no, thank you. Better to let me know more than never. I’m so bad at using those terms interchangeably….I catch myself sometimes. I actually didn’t know it was gender directed. I thought button up goes all the way up to the collar and button down are usually what I mean and what I’m wearing😉 so button DOWN, it is 😊
Actually a button DOWN is a shirt with buttons holding down the collar (usually a men’s shirt). Any shirt with buttons all down the front, mens or women’s, is a button UP. (hope I’m not being too picky). A shirt with 3 or 4 buttons at the top is a polo style.

I’ve worn loafers for years. I have a classic black pr plus a navy pr with silver ornamentation. I’m retired and only wear jeans, mostly blue. I’m very short and the navy looks like it extends the line of my short legs. My next shoe purchase will probably be a cap toe, 2 tone flat, tan/beige and black.
