I know this is a clothing video, but I love your dark hair. I agree with your take on classic clothing items. It is funny to me that I agree a trench is a classic and I have a few, but never wear them. 😔
Oh thank you! That's so kind - I tried to go blonde once but never really took to my hair, and I've always loved my natural hair colour anyway, suits me best! You know, some items can be classic, but they're just not your style/don't feel organic to just throw them on to you. And that's totally cool! x
I love the idea of a trench coat but for me I have a bunch of different coats because spring can be volatile weather wise. I think too if you commute to work like I do sometimes you just choose what works to keep you warm. I really agree with shirts and I have a blue striped one that goes with just about anything but I think I would love to invest in one that is a plain tone. Great outfits and I think we can always work with what makes to us is classic.
Perfect. I’ve been watching essential wardrobe videos for years and yours is the best. Everyone doesn’t wear white button-down shirt (I like alternate color), and you said seasonal jacket because everyone doesn’t wear blazers. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes exactly - what we have in our wardrobes isn't homogenous, instead, it's to suit a particular function and based on lifestyle, preferences, taste, the way you like to dress etc, it's going to look really different!
Jamie, thanks for another great video. With so much content being made around trends, it was great to see a more focused look on timeless classics. For me i think i would add an A-line skirt. Although it did originate in the 50s in my opinion it can be considered timeless and is as wearable today as back then. Once again you look elegant in all of the outfits, and your sense of aesthetic and taste is just sublime
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Impressive trench coat collection! 😂 I appreciate you sharing how you'd style these everyday items. Still on the journey for my personal style, but maybe a nice black dress (whatever is flattering for your body) counts as a wardrobe staple 😊
Thank you! So glad to hear :D Haha yes, been collecting over the years so have some very solid options at this point 🤭 Oh yes, absolutely, that is a timeless item for sure!!
I purchased the Saben cassia bag after seeing it on your Instagram page and I just love it. I don't think I have found my 'ideal bag' yet :) but this one does go very close. Great leather, zip top and two handle. Just perfect for taking the essentials.
You're too kind, thank you! Can't say I'm doing anything special with my hair at the moment - just styling with a GHD (popping an oil in first to tame my hair a little and add some shine)
Thank you for saying button-down shirt and not white button-down shirt. Thank you for showing an alternate color. As wonderful as the button-down shirt is, not everyone wear white. You are wonderful.
Did you mean the items that I shared? Of course the pieces in my closet are going to be more reflective of my colours/preferences, but I think the focus here should be on the *types* of items - these can be in any colour; while of course you could argue that colour plays a role in whether an item is traditionally considered classic (which I feel is often based on lists that people share online) it's the silhouette itself that is the timeless element :)
Love the video on classic pieces Jamie! Just wondering how you find the fit of the rib cage jeans? Are they tts for you, or better a size up/down? I’ve been looking at the same wash as you have in the video and they look fab! Ta!
Thank you! I'm wearing them in my usual denim size 26. I find that there is a little give around the waist/thigh area but they don't slip down or anything and it's not in a noticeable way if you know what I mean? IMO the perfect fit!

Appreciate the diversity showcased in the example images you include xx

Oh yes I love this, and also, universally flattering (and the length, can vary depending on your tastes). A good addition :)
Really cool tips and beautiful combinations! 😃
Thanks so much! 😊

Yay, great sponsor! We love an ethical partnership.
So so proud to get to work with POMP! A dream partnership :)
You inspired several outfits. Thanks.
LOVE this!!! Hope you're having a beautiful week xx

Leanne, I am so thrilled to hear you love your Cassia bag as much as I do mine. She's so chic! Which colour did you go with?
I have two shirts from Power of My People and the quality in construction and material is amazing!
100% this!! So happy you love the brand too 🥰
I haven’t seen you for ages … do you have a hair video? I love your hair💞

@@mademoisellejaime maybe it's that casualness that looks so good. 1 love the fringe also. _ xx

Absolutely - and not everyone *likes* wearing neutrals! :)
These suit high contrast winter colouring like yours. Please could you look at what would suit those who don't suit black, white and high contrast.

Levi’s. 1850s, California goldfields. We are talking an older classic than the trench or blazer!
