I am from Lucknow too. I lived and worked in Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Pune, and Sydney (Australia). But there is no place like Lucknow. Incomparable! Vo Nakhas ki sadak , vo Chowk ki raunak , Sahadatganj ki galiyan , Aminabaad , Hazratganj , Gomtinagar sab acha hai. Log jo Kissi ko bewajah tane nahi marte , neecha nahi dikhate . Koi bhedbhav nahi . Sirf pyaar , fursat aur sukun ka shahar hai. Miss you a lot LUCKNOW.

@Gaurav Singh Samrat forget about baahar ke ladke....during my school , college days before 2010...boys who were lucknowites behaved this way....and by the way i have witnessed a lot of child labour at street vendors for jalebi , samosa , kachori which is being romanticized and portrayed highly of.

Kindled old memories. Personally learned the “hum” from “main” and left behind the Delhiwali “mere ko ,” “tere ko.” Mum was delighted at this turn at refinement. But what happened to the starched chicken kurta clad young studs, with itar and mogra malas around the wrists? Delightful, but could have done with a little more local detail.
I am a Delhi born n raised with roots in Awadh. Growing up it was only usual to pick up Delhi lingo. But with age have reverted back to more nuanced and cultured lingo of my elders.
