This is the best demonstration of how to thread the PS500 that I have seen. What I really appreciate is that I can actually see what you are doing. Your hands aren not in the way of seeing to to thread the machine.Have booked marked this and am referring to it when I need to review how to properly thread my machine. Thank you!
OMG!! Thank you so much for this tiny tutorial tidbit. I have been a casual sewer for many years and it was on an older machine where I could literally see the tension discs. I had no idea that I was creating a problem by not putting the presser foot in the up position while threading!! Thank you!!!!
I’m 62 and have been sewing since I was 10 yes old. You explained this so well. I’ve sewn on eight or nine different models of machines over the years. I don’t remember anyone ever telling me those first two rules! Thank you!
Great explanation. This is the first helpful tutorial I’ve found. Good camera angle, good description and Slow enough to understand. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
I have the Babylock Presto 2 and your explanation was the best, clear, and most concise. Loved the close-up on each step after your explanation. I do not remember being told the first points.
Thank you so much... I was having a challenging time on winding thr bobbin and threading the machine. Watching you do this step by step was much more easier than the book
Straightforward, detailed, informative, and full of context. Must view for anyone interested in textiles. Phenomenal work everyone involved much appreciated.
This is a very good video! I notice that the needle is in the left position. Can the needle be in the center position for the automatic threader? I couln't seem to find needle position information in the manual as far as the automatic threader is concerned. I know that the needle must be at its highest point, of course. I recently purchased this model. Thank you.
It looks like you are able to use the automatic needle threader with the needle in the left position. It appears that you can use it in center needle position as well. Is this correct? The manual doesn’t say. I recently purchased this machine. Videos are very helpful. I don’t want to break my threader! I do know, of course, about positioning the needle to its highest point. Thank you.
Ive had a brother ps500 for about 5 months. Projects take 3 times as long with brother ps500 because of mistakes. Having to fuss with machine takes my attention away from the sewing . Also the fed dogs wobble sometimes at high speed. Also I cant change the needle position. Also I have to take out the manual each and everytime I sew because its very tricky. Ive become so stressed out using the machine Ive started hand sewing which actually goes faster and more accurate than using the Brother which says a lot about the quality of the machine. Id like to get my money back. Before I had an old 1970s Singer I bought for $30 at a garage sale. I was able to work faster and more accurate on that old Singer the Brother ps500 was very expensive and not worth the $30 my old machine cost!
This is the very best demonstration I have ever viewed. Thank you so much.
Love how you go into detail and show the close ups of what you are explaining.

That has to be the BEST demonstration I have seen on this. I am a relatively new sewist. Thank you very much!

Jeez - great but I almost aged and died before she got to the point.
Mine is not going in the needle, why?
If the needle is not at its highest point the thread will not go in.
