Absolutely awesome!! I have all of Martin Popoff's Black Sabbath and Ozzy books and many others!! I love every book and I am a maniac of Black Sabbath music and Martin Popoff's books as well as performing in my own bands Witchcross(original music and Black Sabbath tribute as well), and my own Ozzy solo tribute band Black Rain , both from Chicago. I thought you would be doing 10 from each Ozzy solo and Sabbath from 1980 forward. That makes it even harder combining them into ten albums including both since I love both so much on every album from both bands. For 1980 forward I have to go 1-10. I also think Mob Rules is basically a song for song mirror of Heaven and Hell and just by that, it cannot be better than the predecessor in my opinion.

Oh wow, right off the top I misunderstood the premise. I thought it was top 10 albums that ozzy was on, solo and sabbath. So, I've gotta rethink this right quick. I was very surprised to hear you rank Down To Earth that high. For me, Ozzy's great stretch runs from the 8 sabbath records and through Ozzmosis, but I feel it dips on DTE, when they stopped having his guitarist be the primary writer and brought in so many outside people. I think those songs are really good and yeah they could’ve added them to the initial session. “Seasons of the dead“ is probably my favorite from that extra group of songs. “Naivety in black“ is also very good

I don't get The Eternal Idol love, I just can't get into that one as much as I try. It has a few good songs but for me Headless Cross and TYR blow it out of the water.

I love The Ultimate Sin, but I don't like No Rest For The Wicked. I hate the song Crazy Babies. I just prefer Randy and Jake to Zakk. I've never got any of the Sabbath albums after Born Again, but I'm thinking about it. I never had an issue with the production of ultimate Sin or Born Again, maybe it's because I was really young and my ears didn't know any better yet, or maybe because I was more into Venom? I can just tolerate those productions more than anything over produced. Andy Sneap is the enemy to my ears.

Lemmy said he made more money from No More Tears than any of the Motorhead albums.

I think those songs are really good and yeah they could’ve added them to the initial session. “Seasons of the dead“ is probably my favorite from that extra group of songs. “Naivety in black“ is also very good

I don't get The Eternal Idol love, I just can't get into that one as much as I try. It has a few good songs but for me Headless Cross and TYR blow it out of the water.

I love The Ultimate Sin, but I don't like No Rest For The Wicked. I hate the song Crazy Babies. I just prefer Randy and Jake to Zakk. I've never got any of the Sabbath albums after Born Again, but I'm thinking about it. I never had an issue with the production of ultimate Sin or Born Again, maybe it's because I was really young and my ears didn't know any better yet, or maybe because I was more into Venom? I can just tolerate those productions more than anything over produced. Andy Sneap is the enemy to my ears.
Speaking of working with, it's curious that Ozzy never worked with Martin Birch who worked with so many other classic icons.
I think Heaven & Hell reinvented Sabbath as well as Heavy metal in general.
