Justin I met you in Kandahar airfield in 2006. You gave us an impromptu jam session at Canada house with you and other artists from the Canadian Contingent Show. It has been the highlight of my tour in Afghanistan. You guys really raised our. moral and we really felt that you really care about us (the CF members) . Thank you for you amazing support all these years.

Our Canadian Troops and their Medical Teams are typically working on #PEACEKEEPING Missions that involve TREMENDOUS RISKS in efforts to make another part of our Planet BETTER than they encountered it.
We MUST ENSURE that our #Vets are RESPECTED, and I'm pleased to advise that Canada has been showing some GREAT #CARE lately at places like #Sunnybrook, our largest Veterans' Residence Home.
It give me Chills seeing and talking with patients and staff, hearing how they're now being treated. NOTE that these residents are from All Countries and are former "Enemies" who had often fought each other but now Share Activities like Bowling, Special Events and every daily meal.
It's AMAZING to see and hear them make LIGHT of such historical Trauma, now that they're finally Comfortable and able to reminisce on the Ugliness of #WAR
Thank You JULiAN for emphasing how we MUST REMEMBER our Veterans'
Sacrifices.... And Thank You Veteran Affairs Canada for providing SUCH Comfortable Living for our Veterans' final days.... Truly Appreciated!
Thank you #Sunnybrook Health Centre for your INCREDIBLE SERVICE and DEVOTION, Too!
Perhaps Songs like THIS can #help in Other parts of our World?
Thank You JULIAN for letting me #share this observation as I have had the honour of recently assisting in their routines.
    NOTICE:
We can PURCHASE beautiful Veterans' #handmade Arts and Crafts, Photography, unique #Gifts and #Cards in their special #GiftShop Too....
    #youRock #veteransmatter #veterans #warsucks #peacekeepers #grateful

0.23 Royal Scot Dragoon Guard saw a lot of those cap badges from 1997-2009 at CFB Suffield medical centre. Wore both cap badges when I got my intro to military life (Army Cadets 1968-71) (Royal Scots Greys, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards) was at the amalgamation ceremony in summer of 1971 I believe.

    Served 21 years.
Started 1 RCR injured then aero engine tech, 15 years supporting search and rescue.
5 or 6 years volunteer firefighter.
Volunteered VON and Central Community Health Centre, drove mobile unit, treating adults, children's fluoride clinics, group homes, flu clinics, needle exchanges, even did radio commercial.
Did a little hydro therapy volunteering in 3rd world.
Put a good spin on that, but have a dark side to me also.
Treated for many physical and some major mental issues. But civilian and VAC state I do not have PTSD but all my military buddies believe I suffer from PTSD.
Strange,. A few years back a couple of ex Pat's did a cross Canada March for PTSD. Had lunch with them was rather shocked at how open they were about the negatives it caused in their lives.

Thank you so much Julian. I found this video while searching for Remembrance Day videos (I was in the CAF for 25 years) and yes it does apply but I just love the recognition of our first responders. The most important take away of this great song/video is PTSD - I hope that anyone who is experiencing any mental health issues to please reach out to a professional or a friend or family member. I suffered from PTSD and was reluctant to reach out for help but I did and that is why I'm here now.

A little less than a month ago I was riding back from St.Andrews on my bike when I encountered a group six Canadian Veterans on bikes. ( they had their vests on ).
Being a club I wasn't sure what the riding etiquette was. Do I fall in behind them or keep my distance?
The rider at the rear waved me on past so I got into the passing lane and merged back in front of them.
I thought for sure they would have reduced their speed and fall back a ways behind me but no, oddly enough they sped up to match my speed and fell in behind me!
They would ride behind me all pretty much all the way to the Grand Bay/ Westfield where five of the six took that exit and the last rider would continue on with me until I got off the highway.
I have to say it was kind of awesome riding with them !

I'm retired US Army and a Vietnam Veteran. It hurts my heart to see the ravages of war and how both physically and mentally the toll it has taken. Through the ages, PTSD has never been recognized or treated properly. We live with the invisible scars and been labeled.
Thanks so much for being a champion and keeping the awareness of PTSD in the forefront. God Bless You!
I pray that we lose no more Heroes to this disease.🙏🇺🇸🇻🇬🇹🇻🇦🇺🇨🇦
