Estée, I just want to tell you how much you could really see what you did for Reggie. I remember when you got him and tried to play with him and get him to run in the park, and he just wouldn't. Flash forward a year later and there he is, running around and playing like he's never done anything else. The fact that you were able to give him that, give him the life he deserved and bringing the joy back to him is honestly amazing. I thought this many years ago but never said (because I rarely comment, like, ever) but I thought now is the time. He will be dearly missed ♥️
I was in a car accident in 2012, I was in the hospital for 3 months and when I cam home, I was in a wheel-chair. The Doctors told me I'd never walk again. My dog since childhood, Solly, passed away within 2 weeks of me being home. Solly was a Whippet, which are in the Greyhound family, and he had been diagnosed with cancer for 2 years. He was my best friend and I was devastated. About 3 months later, my depression had hit an all time low and I couldn't walk, I didn't have my dog, and I spent all my time in Doctor's offices and in waiting rooms. My dad and sister were plotting ways to help me emotionally, so she drove 7 hours to pick up a little 10 week old Australian shepherd puppy, who was the only one in his whole litter who had blue eyes. I named him Zeus and he is literally my cure to depression and anxiety. Ive continued having surgeries since the initial car wreck (but I'm walking, praise God!), but after every surgery, Zeus literally is glued to me as soon as I come home, and won't leave my side for weeks, while I recover! It's crazy what huge blessings dogs are. I don't know what I'd do without him!
I understand your pain I have been fighting with lupus and barely graduated for my bachelors degree but my dogs help me through these hardships and will forever be my true friends and my babies.
This is not a competition, but my dog died 5 years ago and I still cry if I think about her. It hurts. And I’ve lost other dogs but that one was too special. Stay strong ❤️

As I’m watching (and crying) you discuss Reggie, my heart hurts for you. My pup, a Boston Terrier, just turned 11 yo and six months ago was diagnosed with beginning stages of heart failure. I lost my 13 year old pharaoh hound, Tep, the Feb. before last to kidney failure. He died in my arms while out on a walk. My heart still hurts. Watching Reggie brought me a lot of comfort and happiness. I'm so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. You were a great pair together!

I lost my dog two years ago. You will always miss them like crazy but you learn to just live with it . I remember not wanting to get a dog because the pain of loosing my dog was so much. But the time spent with my dog and the love between a dog and it’s owner is so beautiful and pure so I think 2 yrs later it is time to look for a new furry friend. I totally understand why you want to keep your relationships out of the public eye. But I think this is one of the hardest things for public people. The audience is interested in relationships. Sometimes even more than in materialistic/artistic things. That's just how we humans work. We want to compare, analyse, whatever (some wanna judge which is not cool but yeah). (Personally I'm very interested in any kind of human relationship but I would never go so far that I comment about it or whatever.) I think it's healthy to choose carefully what to share and what not. So you do you, Estée! I wish you happy, healthy relationships with people you love.

My mum had been battling cancer for years and sadly passed away within weeks of us getting him. It’s been horrible and I miss her so, so much, but having him has really helped. You’ve handled yourself so well and grown so much recently, I hope things only get better for you x
My biggest regret is that I didn’t put my dog down before she died naturally. She suffered the last few months and I didn’t see it which was very selfish of me. But then I think about how I rescued her and gave her the best life I could. I know you did the same for Reggie and that’s so beautiful. I hope you find peace soon. You gave him a blessed life.
It was clear you loved Reggie so much and gave him such a good life. I think sometimes people underestimate how much grief you have after the loss of a pet. We lost our 16 year old Labrador last year to brain cancer and I still miss her every day. I also know how hard it is to make the decision to let them go. Big hugs xx

I dread the moment my cat will pass away because she’s been there for me through it all: my first heartbreak, when I lost my best friend to heroin, my first apartment, and in April of this year when I lost my 26 year old brother to testicular cancer. Pets are with you through it all and know on an instinctual level when you’re in pain just like when we know they’re in pain and that’s a bond that can never be severed. Grieve Reggie because you deserve to.

We lost our family dog 10 years ago from liver cancer. It was my freshman year of college and I remember speeding home (that was an hour and a half away) to say goodbye to her. She held on until I got there, wagged her tail when she saw me, then we put her down because there was a very little chance she’d make it through surgery. Estee, I’m so sorry for your loss and I know it’s not easy at all to lose a pet. I’ve followed you online for years and Reggie was a part of that internet family. 8:18 broke my heart. Thank you for sharing this video with us, Estee. I know how hard it must be to talk about it, and re-live it every time. I made the decision for my little girl cat, last year. She was 19. And had been in liver failure and hyperthyroid for 10 years. Eventually, it caused heart problems, no appetite, fast breathing, etc. And even through it all, in her last days, she still chose to lay with me every night. I couldn't let her suffer, not after the incredible 13 years she gave to me. Lots of love to you, Reggie had an exceptional life thanks to you and Aslan.

Started crying with you. I totally understand what you mean by “it was the right thing to do” and that Reggie didn’t seem himself anymore. In October, it will be two years ago that I had to make the same decision. It was really hard to let him go, to this day, I can still feel quite sad about losing him. I got my dog when I was 12, had to let him go when I was 25. I guess you could say that I really grew up with him. Miss him so much. I have a new dog now, she definitely fills the hole in my heart. It’ll eventually get better, but there’s nothing wrong with grieving anyway. Sending you love & positivity. xxx

its ok to cry. i had a dog for 14 years who we found as a stray, and when she passed away 6 years ago, i spent that night sobbing. I will tell you that with time, it gets easier. I totally understand why you want to keep your relationships out of the public eye.
But I think this is one of the hardest things for public people. The audience is interested in relationships. Sometimes even more than in materialistic/artistic things. That's just how we humans work. We want to compare, analyse, whatever (some wanna judge which is not cool but yeah).
(Personally I'm very interested in any kind of human relationship but I would never go so far that I comment about it or whatever.)

I’m so sorry to hear about Reggie ❤️ You and Aslan were amazing dog parents and did the best for him. I got my cat almost a year ago and I love him to bits. My mum had been battling cancer for years and sadly passed away within weeks of us getting him. It’s been horrible and I miss her so, so much, but having him has really helped. You’ve handled yourself so well and grown so much recently, I hope things only get better for you x
My biggest regret is that I didn’t put my dog down before she died naturally. She suffered the last few months and I didn’t see it which was very selfish of me. But then I think about how I rescued her and gave her the best life I could. I know you did the same for Reggie and that’s so beautiful. I hope you find peace soon. You gave him a blessed life.
It was clear you loved Reggie so much and gave him such a good life. I think sometimes people underestimate how much grief you have after the loss of a pet. We lost our 16 year old Labrador last year to brain cancer and I still miss her every day. I also know how hard it is to make the decision to let them go. Big hugs xx

I dread the moment my cat will pass away because she’s been there for me through it all: my first heartbreak, when I lost my best friend to heroin, my first apartment, and in April of this year when I lost my 26 year old brother to testicular cancer. Pets are with you through it all and know on an instinctual level when you’re in pain just like when we know they’re in pain and that’s a bond that can never be severed. Grieve Reggie because you deserve to.

We lost our family dog 10 years ago from liver cancer. It was my freshman year of college and I remember speeding home (that was an hour and a half away) to say goodbye to her. She held on until I got there, wagged her tail when she saw me, then we put her down because there was a very little chance she’d make it through surgery. Estee, I’m so sorry for your loss and I know it’s not easy at all to lose a pet. I’ve followed you online for years and Reggie was a part of that internet family. 8:18 broke my heart. Thank you for sharing this video with us, Estee. I know how hard it must be to talk about it, and re-live it every time. I made the decision for my little girl cat, last year. She was 19. And had been in liver failure and hyperthyroid for 10 years. Eventually, it caused heart problems, no appetite, fast breathing, etc. And even through it all, in her last days, she still chose to lay with me every night. I couldn't let her suffer, not after the incredible 13 years she gave to me. Lots of love to you, Reggie had an exceptional life thanks to you and Aslan.

Started crying with you. I totally understand what you mean by “it was the right thing to do” and that Reggie didn’t seem himself anymore. In October, it will be two years ago that I had to make the same decision. It was really hard to let him go, to this day, I can still feel quite sad about losing him. I got my dog when I was 12, had to let him go when I was 25. I guess you could say that I really grew up with him. Miss him so much. I have a new dog now, she definitely fills the hole in my heart. It’ll eventually get better, but there’s nothing wrong with grieving anyway. Sending you love & positivity. xxx

its ok to cry. i had a dog for 14 years who we found as a stray, and when she passed away 6 years ago, i spent that night sobbing. I will tell you that with time, it gets easier.
