I’m happy they made the 2 categories. SRM and ACE are really impressive but I really enjoy the more “classic?” speedruns. Doesn’t take away how technical these are. It’s pretty crazy to see how far this game has come in speedrunning.
I was at like 11:57, like “We are at 12 minutes of 17. Da Phycc he gonna do teleport directly to the boss? Ain’t no way!” Then he teleports directly to boss. Phyccing badass.
I just want to say thank you for explaining all of this I was so confused by a lot of this but the biggest thing that I have to say so far in the video is thank you for that 6 ft to 5'11 joke it was extremely funny
Live memory viewer in an emulator. And editing inputs while replaying. The SRM glitch that leads to ACE being possible is what's called a 'use after free' exploit in hacking. Memory is freed but and a dangling pointer is left behind manipulating some data it shouldn't be pointing to. That data COULD be interpreted as actual code or instructions under very specific conditions which is what ACE is.
"shrinks Link from 6 foot to 5 foot 11 inches" lmfao

What about you Lunatic? I see you barely have any subs or vids. 👀
Thanks for the super clear and broken-down explanation of SRM! Happy to say that I still have literally no idea how it works 🎉

Incredible depth of explanation. Some of these techniques remind me of ways people would manipulate inventory in the Pokémon games.
Great video nice voice good editing, I'm subscribing
Dude I love seeing these kind of videos!!
This reminds me of when I used to watch SeedBorn's glitches breakdown...So interesting!
seedborn is the goat
glad u enjoyed :)
I loved the video, you have a good speaking voice, and witty commentary! I enjoyed the show.
Speedrunners are super talented.
thank u for explain me ❤
anything for you brycelol6819
How did people even find out about this it seems like a pretty random thing to try
lots of hard work by the glitch hunter turkenheimer
Glitch hunting. They have the games code pulled up as they do certain actions. SRM was found only a couple years ago actually
Hacking pretty much. Reverse engineering with a memory viewer and input editor.
Nice video!
good explanation
Now THIS is sick

Is it possible to lower this time? or have we hit the limit?
its always possible! current route can’t go a whole lot lower but im sure something new will be found soon
I don't really see how those cutscene skips can save time, but if it works it works i guess.
The HMS skip is huge. That cutscene is so long. Not sure about the navi cutscene skip with the console reset.
