The Weebill S is a lot smoother than the Lab, yet it's the same size. You can adjust the speed and deadband and smoothness with the handle instead of the app, which is great. It has wireless video capabilities which I haven't tried yet (you need to buy a transmitter). It's a good gimbal. I don't know if it's the best, or a Ronin killer or whatever, because I've only had it for a few days. You wouldn't want me rushing to conclusions just to get clicks, now would you? ;-)
I cant express to you how much you encourage me in your gimbal work. Thanks for showing how you move the gimbal as you film, helps me a lot.

That was my biggest issue with the lab it was no smooth at all no matter how many times I balanced it. Nice to see this is a lot smoother!

Im a traditional photographer just learning the beauty of video and bought the Weebil to stabalise my handheld footage, your techniques are inspiring, Im not there yet but hopefully after studying more work like yours I can be proficient enough to produce work like this. Brilliant.

I noticed you invert the gimbal a lot. It is something a lot of other cinematic youtubers really sleep on. When you invert the gimbal it gives the feeling of being small and makes the world look so big. It is really amazing what you do with the gimbal.

@@nightfury2286 I don’t use it much anymore. It’s a pain to setup while traveling. Also, everyone uses gimbals now, I’ve gotten bored with the look. So, all hand held for me now (:
First of all, awesome footage, you are really good at making inexplicable camera movements with the gimbal 👌 secondly, I never seen before anyone using a monopod below the gimbal, that is actually quiet a good idea to make more steady shots and better distribute the weight, cause usually after a few hours it gets uncomfortable so thank you for that 👍

Gimbal is more about handling and walking than performance.
You are both wonderful.
You can lock the Follow mode by holding f and 3 times clicking the top of the wheel. And u can do the same for G mode
Great looking work Brandon, probably the best I've seen on this gimbal, the other reviews seem a lot less smoother than yours, I guess your ninja walk/run and sense brings it together pretty well.

Thanks for making this video, it really shows that they improved the stability of this gimbal. I was not sure if they could deliver, seeing how the original Weebal Lab was performing, which was really bad. But your footage does'nt show any micro jitters and that is very nice.

Just some sony autofocus thing :)
I think he shoot manual focus and tries to maintain the same distance with the subject, I understood that from one of his others videos (the moza air I think)
In my opinion, in just some cases that there r more than 2 Chars on the scene will need manual focus to follow focus on main Char. For most of the simple scenes with only one Char, the autofocus on Sony can do its best job. That’s why we mostly go with Sony when filming

I see. So you basically do your normal standard gimbal shot but you also add movement to the begining and end in case you need that in the editing. That way you have normal shot and 2 points for transitions if you decide you would need that. Do you always do this in travel videos?
