A little bit ambitious? The dress has not been worn and she’s asking for 300 pounds less.
Gaby Born and it fit perfectly
That's the resale market for you. Like cars, a lot of stuff drops in value just from it leaving the parking lot. I'd say most of the time you resell something you should expect to *start* at 50% retail price and get haggled down from there depending on condition, etc.
Most people over value their items.
Resale of technology dropping makes sense because they’re always coming out with new versions/models - clothing doesn’t really shift in anyway so much especially in like new/unworn condition I feel like her asking price wasn’t too bad
@@ChiMayMoo But there are less buyer for used dresses. The most bride prefer bridal shops where they can try different dresses on and not a private sale.
I don't think the seller of the first dress was rude. It was an unworn dress!
Personally I think the first one looked so much nicer, but hey, that's just me! ;)
I think the seller of the first dress actually priced it to cheap, considering it was unworn
@@Gazzaxxo that is not accurate actually. Worn or not, it could be season's behind. Which can and absolutely will effect the price. Season changes matter. The only way that or any wedding dress is holding its value is if it is name brand, hello Vera Wang, or you have kept it until it becomes vintage. Even then you better hope it is vintage name brand or timeless and extremely well cared for.
@@Gazzaxxo Yeah...good luck selling a car you drove home for a few km for the price of a new car. It just doesn't work like that.
The first dress was beautiful and never been worn New and what’s the rubbish about the seller driving a hard bargain it was 1100 pounds . Cheep skates .
Marcia Nolan this show has taught me a lot. Vendors anticipate that you spend your very last dime to get married. If you have a budget, stick to it.
Lol the dress I tried on was 899 in the shop looked on Ebay and brand new was 175 sometimes you gotta save money
Not everyone has a huge wallet. More like hopeful, not cheap.
You don't go looking for second-hand dresses just to save a couple hundred off the store price. Nobody is ever going to give you full price what you paid even if you literally walk out the shop and sell it to the person standing next to you in the parking lot.
@@jodieharris2476 LOL I did the same thing but in reverse, found a dress on ebay for $125, did a google image search and found it in a bridal salon so I could try it on first. It was $900 in store and the one I got on ebay fit perfectly.
Who pays 1100 for a dress and decides.. it's too hot im not going to wear it!?
When menopause hits!
I wish I had decided exactly that!! Wedding day was a 39c day and damn the meringue type dress I’d chosen meant I sweltered all day!! I was not comfortable at all!! The dress was $1300
@hello kitty that's what i thought as well...
Michelle Louise people with money
@hello kitty whoa, swerve bit@h. You don't know. I bought 3 prom dresses but only wore one. Women do this stuff all the time but to call someone you don't even know a liar? Super classy (deep sarcasm).
Personally I much prefer the 1st
Same.
Me to
I agree but I think with her figure the second one looks better on her specifically.
Me too .. maybe cause the other one was too big but the first one was perfect .. to me the one she picked had too much lace and looked to heavy for her body type
Me too.
The first dress was SOO MUCH BETTER, The wildcard dress was too busy and looked bulky on her and with hundreds on alterations she would've spent a lot more money.
But she didn’t have enough money to buy it!!
Had the seller been more reasonable, I think she would have done it.
The dress she bought cost 800 plus alterations, Nicole's dress was 750 and fit perfectly. She could've afforded it, she just didn't want it.
@@hanaj The seller wasn't unreasonable. The dress was brand new and fit perfectly. It was within the bride's budget. The bride just didn't want it.
It just needed to fit her better, it was too big and therefor looked amiss, but im sure with alterations it would have looked better. It was a nicer colour and better lace.
The first one was way better. She even said it was better. I just think she still had her mind on the one she lost out on. It's still a nice dress though. I'm just not a fan of the shoulders.
Did she say it because she believed it or because she wanted it to be true? I was in a similar situation, where I was in love with a dress but held off due to indecisiveness( budget wasnt even an issue). Was it the prettiest? No . Was it the most practical? Also no. But I was, and still am in with it. I spent a lot of time convincing myself it wasnt that great because they refused to hold it and I was sure they were going to sell it to someone else. In retrospect, i really should have taken that as a sign it was the one, but hey. You live and you learn. I got lucky. I can understand where she is coming from, even if it isnt logical
It was already very nice of the first seller to offer her dress for 850 and for the lady to ask her for 650??? Just plain rude and insulting.
I mean it is either sell it or not. Resale wedding gowns are hard to sell whether brand new or not. Either get rid of it, keep it, or spend more time selling it. Plus she found a bride who is willing and who the dress fits. I would start any brand new dress at 50% off once it leaves the store. Bridal brick and mortal retail value is x2-2.5%. Meaning bridal shops buy the dress at half price retail and sell at retail to make profit. Seller isn't the brick and mortar store. People must understand this to under the buyer. This is why I don't think it is an insult.
That woman is sooooo kind she found the exact dress she wanted that’s so ooo sweet
Those prices went so low for a gown that has never been worn/only been worn once
Most wedding dress shops will sell brand new wedding dresses off the shop floor price as they need space for new designers to come in.
My sister got her brand new wedding dress for £700 off the shop floor when it was originally £1,300 as they needed more space
I found a custom made, never worn wedding dress at a second hand shop for $100. Dresses can be found out there! I went to the shop on a whim and there it was!
Yes you are correct. The bride in the unworn dress is not reasonable. But it is her dress also the seller needs to realize she has one dress in one size and style. Good luck in finding cinderella
So she don't have the $750 Nicole dress but she choose the $800 dress that needs alterations? Some of these people are frauds
i'm glad the seller held her ground.. its nice to see for once... these people are real cheap scates and have a real cheek.. they rip the sellers off..
the sellers are already selling beneath these dresses as it is... its almost embarrasing really..
you'd think these people were getting these dresses down the market
Marie anne I have a feeling you have not gotten married or struggled with money if you think they’re just simple cheap skates
They new the budget
Well, at least Nicole was correct - Helina was passionate about something for their one day, and budget went out the window.
She looked way better in the other one. And it cost less and no alterations.
The first dress was so much because it WAS NOT WORN
If I had been the seller, I would have asked for at least 1000, I was surprised when she said 800 because it's basically "new"
Like many said. Once out of the store it is used and the price or value crashes faster than Donald Trump says stupid things. Besides dress shops have sake and give far bigger discount. Got a Demetrius wedding dress wort around 1400 for 100 brand new at a major salon not from someone shabby chic or farmhouse inspired suburban home
And fit like a glove! No alterations needed! I preferred it, think she’s a bit mad to not have gone for that one :P
It's not basically new, it WAS brand new!!! She never ended up wearing it for her wedding. The buyer was a bit ridiculous & a tad too ambitious when asking her to lower her already cheap asking price for a BRAND NEW NEVER WORN wedding dress. But at the end of the day, I'm so happy the bride ended up w her dream dress!!! That's so awesome! 🖤💯💍👰💒
One can always ask, but one will very, very rarely get that price.
So what if it is new second hand is still second hand. You can’t expect selling price to half the cost price . That’s how it works.
Olivia and the producers are so good at finding the right style of dress for the guest. Each dress was gorgeous. I would have leaned toward dress #1, but the wildcard dress was brilliant, too, and that is where the bride's heart was. Congratulations to her.
Hi 👋
megalopolis2015 ,,how are you dear friend where are you from,,can we talk please
@@harbanslal3941 Just posting things few people see. Same old same old. Hope you are well.
megalopolis2015 ,,Hello I want to talk with you personally ,,please give me your time
That’s an amazing deal on the first dress!! It was never even used!
The first was so much more elegant and flattering in her.
The back on the first dress is so feminine and lovely.
1st one looked amazing on her for sure
Tbe first dress was the deal, its like it was saved for her
I think the first dress suited her much better, even the colour looked nicer
She felt more beautiful in second dress .That is why she bought it. Her wedding her choice and our mind is so important in how we feel.
Soooo...bride was going to pay how much first off but left the dress behind... sees dress again, it's the wrong size, wrong colour, It's 850 plus alterations cost.
Tried a dress on that is new, looks BETTER ore elegant and fits like a glove in exactly the right colour and is 750, no extra cost involved.
Chooses the clunky looking more expensive ashy grey dress...??? Can't fathom some people they aren't very fluid in their thinking.
Tries to haggle a brand new dress to 650 because she's got a budget but then pays 800 for the dress that doesn't fit? Woman, your effed the head.
And the alterations are gonna be huge and that doesn't come cheap.
They made it sound like 'the one that got away' was some one of a kind dress and that it's such a miracle that they found it. Please 🙄 That was such a standard dress. It was probably stocked in a hundred other stores. 🙄🙄🙄
people have no idea how important it is to find “the one” when looking for a dress, it’s not just about looking, but FEELING perfect too, and the dress can make that shine through
To me, the dress isn't that important. Heck, the wedding itself is not important. The marriage and being with the one you love is way more valuable than a nice dress and an expensive ceremony. My fiance and I haven't set a date yet, but I've already picked my dress. It's not even a wedding dress, but it suits me to a T and my fiance doesn't care what I wear. "Feeling perfect" shouldn't be reflected in clothing. Every person is already perfect, but most don't realize it. Picking out a dress should be fun and not stressful. If a girl finds herself stressing out too much about finding "the one", she needs to take a step back and reconsider what's really important.
Midnight Sonnet agreed. I spent like $300 on my dress. Picking it out was not stressful at all. I went with my sister in law and it was the first one I tried one. I didn’t see any reason to spend a fortune on it. Considering the fact I wore it for like 5 hours and then it’s been it a box in my closet for the last 13 years. The marriage is so much more important then the wedding.
@@MidnightSonnet Shut up, hypocrite. You've just said that the dress you're planning on wearing "fits you to a T" and you're lecturing people for also wanting a perfect dress? Get off your high horse.
@@52hello25hahahaha... love it!
@@52hello25 i think what she meant by that is that it fits and looks good VERSUS when women look for their wedding dress they want that omg factor. So i understand what she meant. It's like when buying a dessert. There's the "omfg it's so yummy and i really want that dessert!" Versus "this dessert is good idc for a more fancy and expensive dessert. As long as its editable and good." I hope my explanation makes sense.
Which is why i think she meant that marriage and the love of the life is more important. As in instead of over emphasizing on "the dress" which a lot of people do. It's like those post where women are complaining about their engagement rings instead of appreciating the meaning behind it.
This is the cutest clip I have ever seen! She let her dream dress go the first time and then she got the chance to get her dream dress again! With the alterations and all, she will look so stunning and beautiful!
I am Glad they Found a SAMPLE for her. Both are BEAUTIFUL 😍 ❤ 💕 💖 !!!
She paid 150 pounds more for her dream free not counting several hundred for the alterations.I did think it or the first one were quite lovely.
Agree with others that 1st dress looked so much nicer & suited her
This is a really cool show! Giving brides a chance to wear a beautiful dress with a great price!
To be honest I prefer the first wedding dress. As long she is happy and is her big day
The dress she choose was 1420 Pounds from new! With that amount of detail? Compared to the things that SYTTD UK pulls out when they have a 1500 budget, thats an AMAZING price!
I fallen down a rabbit hole watching these shows!! It's given me even more reason to be thankful that I have no desire to have a wedding.. just the anxiety of buying the dress would send me over the edge..I'm good on that!!
How is she going to say that the first dress was better then the one that got away, 50 pounds less, no alterations required and un worn, and still go with the other dress
Also I would have to say the first dress was prettier anyway. She made a big mistake
I think that Nicole's dress looked much better on her. I think that she got scared that she would regret not choosing her previous 'dream dress' and didn't really see how much better Nicole's dress looked on her.
I was surprised the first one was only $1,100 AND being an unworn dress, I don’t think asking $800/$850 is being too ambitious at all. If it was worn, yes, but since it’s basically new, NO, it’s still a deal! Even when she said that she’s consider $750!
... & I know this is UK, but even in US dollars, that’s a steal!
Hi 👋 celisse how are you
I preferred the first dress & it wasn't too expensive!
The first second chance dress she tried on was so beautiful net dream dress is really not as lovely... I guess everyone has different taste..
I agree with others that 1st dress looked so good 👍
The first one was perfect.
This has to be one of the most uncomfortable places to try on a dress! those stairs looks so tall!
Many people said the first dress fits her better but in the end... Its her wedding day..... So yeah..... Beautiful is subjective... For her... 2nd dress much better on her..... Congratulations on ur wedding.... 🎉🎉🎉
The dress she chose is gorgeous!
I preferred Nicole's, the one not needing alterations. Much neater and beautiful
Hope all brides get as lucky as she did although i liked the first dress better but if you can get your dream dress for a lower price thats luck
Nicole's dress was more elegant and flattering, but I know how it is when you become obsessed with the seemingly unattainable.
When she tried on her dream dress her face said it all
The other dress was more complimenting on her
“The Heart wants what it wants - or else it does not care”
The dress she choose is gorgeous.
"This is the hardest decision I've ever made in my life"
Seriously?! What a nice stress-free life that must be damn.
Right!!!! lol
Yes…I hope she doesn’t mean it for real!
I love the first dress and the Wildcard. :)
I like the first one better
She looks classy, and stunning in the first dress she tried and that's what I liked most but the second dress is beautiful, but the first dress is better than her.
Hello 👋
She looks so much better in that dress than doing the alterations on the one she first fell in love with! Glad she got it!
She got the dress that needed altering. It was the wild card dress
The first one complimented her shape better but hey as long as she’s happy.
Good for her. That's a beautiful dress
Bro the first dress is the same dress that my best friend wore at her wedding!
ah, but she is the bride she went what was in her heart im happy for her
First dress is far better second dress makes her look more older
Frist one is way better and lot prettier
What alterations? Yeah, it's a little long, but she can carry a bit as she walks down the aisle. I can't even tell it's a size bigger. It looks perfect. I know everyone is saying the first one was the best, but her dream dress is also stunning on her. You can tell it was made for her and that makes it even more beautiful on her than any other dress. :)
I can tell it's a mess
Its so baggy. The shoulders. The illusion in the bag is hanging off her. The waist it way too big on her as well
The dress she chose is baggy on her, definitely does need to be taken in.
Compare it to the first dress that fitted her like a glove and showed her fighter, you can defiantly tell the other dress doesn’t fit her properly
Yeah, I dont see that too big either.
When the bride finds which dress to buy to be the hardest decision they’ve ever made I do wonder about the relationship...
2nd dress looked better. The wild card was too bulky!
I love the second dress
the dress was NEVER WORN so it’s amazing that the price is LOWER than the original because it wasn’t worn soo it’s new
The first dress for sure. It hasn't even been worn so I think she was MORE than fair.
I brought mine for £1100... mme an my fiancé sadly split up. Never been worn, never even had a pin in it! Sold it for £650. I wanted the money and it took 2yrs to sell. I thought it was stupid to have a wedding dress at the shop that I own, but will NEVER wear again. Even if I get engaged again I’d never wear the same 1. I personally started to regret my choice of dress even BEFORE we split. But if I’d worn it I’d imagine my old fiancé... I would want a different dress which I picture my new fiancé in. I was kinda grateful for it to be off my hands. Even if I sold it for half price basically. The dress was 3 yrs old when the girl brought it. So I couldn’t ask for much more.
I love the first dress the best.
That first dress is so close to my dream dress
00:25 Her eyebrows 😂
Why would someone offer a dress over budget. I do think her dress was worth 800$ but, if you know someone's budget is under that, and you watch them fall in love with it...maybe lower yr price or don't give it to them to begin with.
Her dream dress does NOT compliment her figure at all.The first dress was much better.
The ceremony takes less than thirty minutes. Stick to your budget. A one day dress is only wonderful to the bride.
A one day wonder...then her dress will be a distant memory for all the guests.. but she will have her photo album ... and hate the dress after a few years! ( fashions change!)
Unless they looked different in real life, the first dress was much nicer, by the time she’s paid for alterations her budget is will be blown wide open.
What a beautiful dress... And she looks amazing in it
You should be able to hold a dress like you can do that at any other store
If I were in her position, it would be hard to choose a dress. All of those dresses looked so beautiful. Anyways, she looked lovely with the one she chose.
I hope she doesn't go into hock for that dress. Budget really is there for a reason.
U guys so nice she must be very happy she is beautiful tooo
What does she expect? Its a beautiful brand new dress. Total cheapskate
Love this series.
Perfect choice!
Yes, you are absolutely correct I agree with you 👍,how are you Ygor cortes
Anything used should be half price, max.
I prefer the first one on her however I would take the wild card as things like that dont happen. When you miss out on somehting it doesnt come back unless it was meant to be. Plus half price for a preowned gown isnt unreasonable worn or not...youre taking their word for it
with the alterations and everything the costs will most likely end up being closer to what was in the store, so i don't get why she chose that one, could have gone and gotten a new one that fits
The girl that got her the dress is one of the girls that got married and said yes to the dress and she was on love island
A lot of criticism here about how Olivia looks. I think she’s gorgeous. And she seems super nice. I WISH I looked like Olivia lol.
I think you look naturally beautiful. No work needed
Gaby Born That is really nice of you to say, you made my day. Idk what you look like but I bet you are wonderful looking lol.
Hi 👋 how are you dear friend
Nicole's dress look so much better on her!
Wht alteration they talk about🤔🤔🤔it's looks perfect
Once a dress is out of the store it is drastically reduced. Worn or not. When you can buy things on sale and get a third off lady in canary yellow is ambitious
I love the brides eyes
First was so much better!
Hate the sleeves on the wild card. It make her look like a football player.
I know they're out to keep the suspense going, but I would want to know the price BEFORE I decide whether or not I'm trying it on. Why take a chance on being heartbroken trying it on, falling in love with it, and then being heartbroken when you find out you can't afford it.
Would have loved to see how it turned out for the day
I liked Nicole's dress so much better and there would have been no additional cost for alterations.
