- I've been meaning to make a video on my thumb rings for a while, and here it is.
As per the info on the rings,
The nephrite ornamental rings
These rings from eBay are quite cheap, and chances are you could get one yourself without much difficulty if you look close enough.
The very thin antler ring
It is from Taobao. I think they do have usable archery thumb ring as well, but I have not tested them out myself

Custom Thumb ring and Vermil Archery
These ones are, evidently, from Custom Thumb ring and Vermil Archery. I do wonder how the CT Manchu would have performed had I got the right size

He does not have a website, but I can contact him for orders and inquiries. Please do let me know if you are interested.
Thank you for this insightful video. I ordered a set of 3 manchu ring from Custom Archery. Unfortunately, they tend to get slippery after 10 minutes no matter which size I use due to the sweating around my thumb. I will give a try to antler rings as they seem good to catch moisturing.
Helpful information, I have been trying to work out my ring fit would like to get a real one soon.
Thank you got your comment! I would recommend you first trying out rings from CT or Vermil to verify your 'perfect fit', and then move on to an antler thumb ring :) Have fun!
@@solhoibaturu I have made some wood ones myself, and I'm also trying some 3D printed my brother has made although not a big fan of plastic.
For me a real one is definitely antler or bone.
@@mrln247 Based on my very limited experience, I think the whole gist of this type of ring is figuring out how to prevent the sweat from building up as you use it, which is a problem that antler with large belt of blood vessel solves.
@@solhoibaturu I had not even considered ventilation before you mentioned it, I was interested in the texture for some grip, but it makes a lot of sense.
With sizing I'm sure part of the process is to draw enough to size your thumb to a cylindrical ring with developing the correct callouses.
Being always on a budget I have bought some Red deer antler from a pet shop and think I can get a blank out of it to try a ring. However if you have a contact I may well be asking after a ring in the near future.
How would I go about contacting you and therefore possibly this Mr. Huang?
Very nice to see such variety in materials, decoration and shape. Having played around with manchu rings a bit myself I always loved the concave shaped ones!
As do I! As per the materials, I really fancy the blood-vessel belt on the antler ones, which adds to its distinct charm
