Just to note Bsa A7s were 500cc not 650cc you can tell by the barrel fins, 650 s had more fins longer strock.
neil
Beautiful BSA. Great commentary too. Thanks a lot.
Pretty awesome bike.....my first motorcycle was a 56 A7 back in 1967....at 16....and six months later....after a thrown rod moved on to my first Harley.....and still riding.
Billy kicks ass.. He's like a Fighter Pilot.., and this arena is definitely his Forte.. 🏁🇺🇲🏁
We did once make some lovely bikes…Nice to see one in good nick..cheers
I have a 1949 A7 star twin . Great bikes mellow sound lot's of work to keep em going but that's half the fun
That's all the fun.
Love the Pink Floyd sequence. Well done. Great bike.
What a beautiful bike! The sound makes me think “When that guy gets where he’s going somebody is getting their ass kicked!”
A beautiful bike, the best of British, and a good, every-day usable classic. That model was never fitted with a single seat though, to the best of my knowledge.
The A7 is a 500cc. The A10 is the 650.
Yup
Exactly talking shit
I've been waiting for this and it didn't disappoint! Great discussion.
love it great job flash backs
Beautiful bike and great review from Billy 👍
Very ,very ,beautiful .i like this motorcycle ,good restoration.👍✌️
Magnificent machine! That's a bike!
********************************I had a 70 thunderbolt ..one of the best brit engines I had with the pan over the rockers, sold it to a friend he rode it for 25 plus years,******70/ 500 tiger with 8inch over forks **and still got my 76 Bonn,, I worked at a chrome shop I was 18 and lived in an apartment lmao**********tank badges the chrome and knee pads BSA******************
Una belleza clásica de moto.
the red n black looks good
Awesome bike👍🏽. Love the slo-mo editing & music 👌🏽.
Pink Floyd brother!.. Anaheim CA 1993-94.. most awesome concert I've ever been too.. it was epic dude...
My dad just bought a 54 bright red A7. I can't wait until I get my motorcycle license so I can ride it! Although it does leak oil, but it was $3000 so whatever
haha ... I just put a message up above. Please read if you see this.
What a bike!
Μπράβο ρε φίλε πολύ καλό Γιώργος Σαλονικα Ελλάδα
I hope to see your garage one day .Yann from France
my dad has a 54 BSA A7 same color as looks like yours, although barely darker, not as shiny, and it says "PETE" in yellow letters on the front denser from the original owner. I think its a shooting star but idk
I'm a Beeza man, and love this example. This machine was made ten years before I was born. Shooting Star is the rare one. But a slight correction ...the A7 is a 500, not a 650, that's an A10. The Shooting Star engine stamp would say A7SS ...then it's a rarety. This is a beautiful bike. BSA made some lovely looking machines. The old joke was why didn't BSA make televisions in the 50's and 60's ??? Because they couldn't get them to leak oil.
Finally. I understand jealousy.
Funny story. We have a new kitten and the two cats have been hissing and growling etc.But they both sat quietly on the floor with me while we watched this video together.
I love my cats
I think the Kawasaki W1 was patterned after the A7
It's 500cc and needs a chainguard. Nice bike.
I have two of these engines but they are from the golden flash one is a 1947 with the plunger back end I think the our was a 1951, we have Alf Hagon grass track / sand racer 441 ( unit motor) victor bored out too 475 and a 1947 rotrax JAP 500 (with the rare 5 stud head ) most are 4 stud speedway bike , it’s not a good british bike if there no oil leak lol
You guys are like the discovery channel. Is there an oiling system for the the chain like older Harleys?
Got caught off-guard on my BSA A7/Triumph T110 engined TriBSA as you do - you're right about the handling - pulled me out of it, no problem - I was very surprised - I've even tried going round and round roundabouts - all good. I wondered, the high pivot on the swinging arm helps center the engine weight I reckon (and the duplex frame obviously). Avon RR's 100/90 H19's front and rear (same size). Anyway, nice bike - cheers.
its a 500 a10 is 650, lovely bikes
beezer man
That colour was for A10 650 bikes not for A7s. and they were never fitted with a single seat.
Great bike. Love the Floyd too 👌 Choice
Μπράβο πολύ καλό εργαλείο 👍🏨🏨
A7 is a 500 twin but and an A10 is a 650
Is that how you pronounce Hagon? I always thought it was pronounced Hay-gone... but I'm probably wrong. Billy seems like he would know.
its a 500
Not an A7 ..its a 650 its a 10
A7s are 500s not 650s also dont think they did a a7 plunger in 1959 either.
So ken how long do you really think this lockdown will last? I’m curious on your thoughts.
Another 6 weeks I would guess
