I appreciate your humility at the beginning of the film as it relates to being a professional photographer. I thought you did a great job explaining each feature. Thanks.
I had my flash and i couldn’t get it to work so it was just collecting dust.. little did i know i just needed this video to make it work. YOU’RE the best
Thank youuu!!! It works a lot with my camera, I’ve been looking a solution every day and this is the only video it really works to me, thank you and blessings!!
Hey hey hey no clue how i found you but it was delightful to watch you. I am superglad I found such a channel like yourself to support. I was looking into this flash and the way you review, hits homerun!
Omg thank goodness for this video. I was trying so hard to figure this out !!! I’ve had this flash for months and still nothing now I got it. Thank you!
I was able to get 4 of these flashes as over stock for about $20 a piece and I love them for studio work off camera using a flash meter. In slave mode I use them in soft boxes and 60 inch umbrellas no problem. The only time I'll put it on my camera is to trigger the other units. I'm retired and photography is my passion. I'm also cheap as hell and I buy everything used. For you I would recommend getting an old (like me) auto flash unit like a Vivitar 285HV or a Nikon SB28 (Yes I said Nikon and I know you have Canon) Auto flash has a flash output sensor in the flash that will quench the flash when the correct amount of light is reached. Look into auto flash. It's an old technology that still works and is very accurate. You set the sync speed, desired ISO, and the aperture on the camera then the aperture on the flash. Now you're all set. No more test shots for the correct exposure. The Vivitar 285HV was the life blood for wedding photographers for decades because it works.
Thank you for your input! Since this video l have upgraded to a canon and godox flash. I still have both of my neewer flashes though and find them good and reliable. They are a great beginner flash
Your pup is a good model. Mine depends on how he feels. When he sees the camera, he knows what is going on and then decides he wants to be a model or not. :) Great video, thanks for sharing. Great information in general on flash photography, which I am still experimenting with all the time.
Thank you so much for posting this video. Looked everywhere and you were the only who could properly explain why things weren't working. And just like you, I was using the viewfinder to test out my Speedlite 😊
Your video is a savoir, I just bought one and it couldn’t just work with my canon 80D. I seeked for answers in many UA-cam videos from professionals but still couldn’t figure it out not until I came across your video. 👌
I also couldn't work it out on 80D, and now can't work it out on R50. Hopefully these tips help. It is very odd, when I put the same flashlight to Olympus pen, it works instantly.
Hi, this is really a great video! This is what exactly I was looking for. I have a question for you? Will this work on a cannon m50 mirrorless camera and will the exposure meter adjust automatically if I play around with flash light’s flashing intensity.
Thanks - this looks like a really good flash for a hobbyist, without costing hundreds of dollars, the kind of thing that even in the unlikely event that it didn't work out, you aren't out a ton of money!
What a great video !!! Thanks for the info ! And a big clap to your awesome model !!!!!! 🤩 he is so cute!! Thanks again ! It helped me. a lot ! I’m no profesional just looking for hobby as well! Thanks again for Sharing ❤
Thank you for this review! I'm planning to shoot a barn wedding next month and I'm very new to using flash. I'll be using it in my Fuji. Keep up the great videos
Thank you so much. Tomorrow is a photo meet up and it looks like it will be very overcast. Hoping I can get some good exposures despite my slow canon lenses.
At 3:54 you attached the flash unit to the plastic desktop mount, and said "This is just a hot-shoe". I am pretty sure there are no metal connectors on that desktop mount. I believe it's for a different purpose.
Well, I'm sold. I'm getting back into digital photography after 10+ years. I've just been using my camera on my phone. I bought a couple used bridge cameras off of eBay for $30. I'm now looking for a flash. This would be perfect for me.
I'm using this with the nikon d7500 any tips on how to have my pics come out bright, sharp and clear? I mostly cover anime and comic book conventions aka cosplayers
Sheila - very nice video. I've had the TT560 for a couple of years but need to pull it out for a project so I can brush up on the correct settings. Thanks.
This video helped me so much! You explain things like a pro. My morning started with coffee and you tube videos so I can finally take my speed light out of the box. So glad I found your channel. I have a rebel t5i and went with Godox around the same price point. So I can beat the s@#$! out of it. :) keep up the great work. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you so much for your review !! I was about to return my speed lite and then after watched your video I could fixed my problem . Thanks again !!✌🏼
The flash mode isn’t working on my camera. I can’t even go to it to change it to manual. Can you help? This was VERY HELPFUL though. I am having the same issues! I hate it will not go off when doing self portraits. 😩😩😩😩 thanks so much for this video and sharing. 🖤🖤
@@joetyler4017 I’ve gotten a new camera since, so it may not have been compatible with my crop sensor! So sorry. Wish I did so you could have an answer. 😢😢😢
I see you posted this 4 yrs ago. Are you still using this flash? If so, how's it holding up? I'm looking for some inexpensive options to review on youtube. I have some other neewer bra d stuff and it's been pretty good. Nice video! :)
I have the same camera and do mostly natural light portraits and have done a few small weddings. Unfortunately all my photos during the dancing were grainy bc I don't have any additional flash and didn't want to use my camera's flash. I just got hired by an events and wedding company so I'm excited to get more experience. I want to invest in some equipment but not spend too much either. This seems like it'll work well for the price. 🤞🏽
New subscriber here!!! Thanks for this video it was very informative. I have the same speedlite and I was having g a hard time getting it to connect.. This video helped soo much. Thanks for showing a photo with the different strengths of the flash.
Sheila, at around 9.01 you say you can't have the Viewfinder on. You mean the LiveView screen. This only works when you use the Viewfinder (the little window), the LiveView should be off.
Came for the flash settings, stayed for the obedient dog getting his photos taken. Wholesome📸
Hahaha❤️
I was trying to find out why it wasn't firing, thank you!
I shall drop a like.

Thank you! Finally got mine to work after years of sitting in a drawer.

It's been years since I've used my camera. This video helped to refresh my memory on how my Neewer SF-01 light works! Thank you! 📸

Thumbs up. Love to hear an honest review, from a regular hobbyist, and not a professional
Humble, honest, kind and well done! Great intro! Thanks.

@@ItsSheila Get a couple of light stands and a couple of reflective umbrellas and you are on your way to having a photo studio set up.
You know more about using a flash properly than the lady doing the video... thanks for taking the time to explain the benefits of auto flash!

Thanks, I was using the view finder and it wasn't flashing, so you were right on point with that helpful tip.
