In all the years I've been involved with steam, both road and rail, I've never seen or heard anything like it. And that's not coal they're burning, it's black dust! Outstanding video, what an eye opener.
That ole engine has hauled many a ton.very long lasting machines.and I bet those who operate them know what every rattle and squeak is..got to tip my hat to them.
I look at some of the American type steam engines...huge difference but in the end, these small engines endure. A mechanical beast....that you can't take your eyes off of.

This train is about as safe as a model T going 100mph. But, i'd take a ride.
Work a day Narrow Gauge Steam in the 21st century imagine that.
