As he parked up Taff saw the ground crew running with a smile on their faces happy to see Taff had actually brought back an aircraft in one piece for a change night off lads!!👍🏻😂
To sleep like the dead for six hours then wake up exhausted...these boys went the extra mile to save the world. Respect.
Hurricane: makes emergency landing
Merlin engine: ight imma head out
Today, I learned a lot about the Luftwaffe's and the RAF's techniques of pruning trees 😀👍
Amazing how that He-111 managed to fly through an entire copse of trees and still remain completely intact and in one piece!
that pilot max his "evasion of plant based collision" skill it seems
Yeah, the enemy AI seems to be insanely good most of the time, and the wingmen...not so much (though my own poor flying doesn't help). I think I've landed after a campaign mission maybe twice, and very rarely do I have wingmen around by then either. Great work with the -110s! They've shot dozens of D.520s out from under me (usually before I'm even aware they're around).
The Germans must be delighed Taff is flying for the British. With his abysmal shooting they know they are safe 😁🙃😋😋
Damn
Shouldn't you use a manulal hydraulic pump when landing? This seems to be supported in-game. Then you can achieve the correct pressure to extend the landing gear.
thats right
That first landing was a perfect 3-pointer. The second... not so much. But maybe the AC was repairable.
Very good show on the story telling, Taff.
Perfect landing at the end of the first mission.
That was one stubborn Heinkel!!!! And yeah, really great videos.
Excellent episode, that Hurricane is crying out for some cannons! 😉 love the way you are developing this series 👏🏴
These stories are great. Do you write plot lines based on true stories, or is it more inspired originality? Either way, the vids are really well done.
I think he's playing the career mode as I've heard (or read) those lines before.
He reads the briefings as a story teller. It´s his style!
Great video Taff, I'm really enjoying these. Can't wait for the next Desert Wings installment. :)
These are awesome videos! Thanks Taff.
Great vid, wonderful narration too, thanks and gratz on that. Pretty much my standard of shooting there- half a notch above abysmal which I find wonderfully reassuring! 🙂Yeah, flight models need some love from the devs- the way the He 111 ploughed through 4 trees and still had its wings.... also, don't know if anyone else noticed but the shadow as you came in for your belly landing CLEARLY showing the starboard undercarriage fully deployed, which we could see was far from the reall situation! Thanks Taff, loving your vids.
This series are so awesome :)
But that initial dialogue with your fellow pilot and mentioning Bentham…that's great, is that your idea? If yes, you have a writer's gift, I really liked it.
Some beautiful landings in the Hurricane, Taff!
Ooof....man...bad day all around
Keep em coming!!!!
That’s one tough rear view mirror!
Loving the story telling ,being honest dude but somone needs to seriously use you to voice over a background story on the actual game and also in future if u want to go after a straggler tell the commander that u are after a reconasence aircraft etc etc loving the episodes so far .
Amazing to see a dirty great heinkel crash through trees and yet still pull off a perfect belly landing in one piece. In my experience, trees and aircraft are not good bed fellows
Great Landing
Your vids Taff, are the most fun to watch from the IL2 channels. You suck and you enjoy showing us that with your humble humour. But you’re getting better 💪🏼
I can’t say I have flown in this game because I don’t have it but I been using the Hurricane w/Hispano guns in a game called Aces High 3; fun little plane and while I do pretty good, you get a higher skilled player in one, it’s tough to bring down in a 1vs1
More Great Taff content!
once you're over the "piano keys" (i know there arent any on grass fields) pull back the throttle, not halfway down the runway! loved the video!
or over the fence
Watched and 👍 Liked
You lads got well and truly chewed up. A few bandages and whiskey's and a good night sleep, then you'll be ready to return the favour tomorrow.
Keep em coming, Taff
Hey Taff you should play victory at Sea Pacific some time, their were some good updates that change the game
Revenge of the ghost ambulance.
Haven't seen your video up in YT recommended to watch since Silent Hunter 5. When that stopped, so did the algorithm.
SH5 is still going, but I’ve noticed some videos are a bit slow to pop up.
Another good one how do you keep it up.
Saw for the first time engine out of the plane.
“110’s! They're not bombers!”
lol, still want to see you fly the Yak!
Decided to get the desert wings DLC. All my controllers and key maps were deleted somehow, even the views :-( I wish there was a restore defaults button, it's taking hours to remap everything
I hope they're going to hurry up with the VR support
I no longer have trackir
Ouch.
daaamn lost a whole clutch of hurricanes on that one mate
Well, he probably feels the ATA girls need the work!
Should have just climbed and bailed out ☹️
I know this is games older but why is damage modules different between each version of game, the first He111 that crashed showed its prop bent backwards, yet a He111 in battle of Moscow shows prop blades snapping off
I play CloD Blitz a lot and there are instances where the blades do snap off.
The damage model in the Cliffs Engine is very complex. A lot of variables.
@@danperin Even more variables if they updated the crash physics by using damage models and the code for such from other games
some later prop blades were made of laminated wood, instead of steel
@@javlin36859bb wooden props came first then metal props for the reason that wooden props can not Go at the speeds of later engines during the war
Do you write a script or wing it? Sorry forgive me.
The crash detection as it hit those trees was very poor by the program.
Hey Taff I think you should transfer to bombers. Worst air gunnery I’ve ever seen. Great post only room for improvement
AGREED! worst air to air gunner I've ever seen but maybe it's not all his fault... I wonder what sticks he has and if he has set his control curves in the settings for the game...I think that may help him be more accurate and not OVERCONTROL so much when he is trying to line up his shots.
@@tonyz8553 yes he does a top job love the posts. Rudder sensitivity maybe.
How about you transfer to bombers
Bummer
Much prefer your content without the acting, but good video
what the hell is wrong with the tail gunner in that first one11 just shooting and reloading at the ground?
The Me110s with their 30mm mk108s and 20mm MG-151 cannons...Hurricanes with .303s wouldnt stand a chance
Pretty sure this early in the war the 110 did not have 30mm guns yet. Pretty sure those were only installed on night fighters and well after the BoB
What are you talking about????
so much wasted ammo…
Not able to see much.
Taff, your shooting abilities are getting worse more and more. Don´t you have time to practice?
I´m missing the end screen too; no results, no squadron stats, no personal stats.
awful model
Pickets dead man.... He's gone.
