Im debating on picking one up for myself I been researching and looking never owned a single 6 and I was thinking this one looks like a good lil start up peice
Im in the same boat as you. I already own a .22 Beretta LR and have a good supply of .22 ammo. Good thing about the Super Wrangler is you can shoot .22 LR AND .22 Magnum which is nice. The Super Wrangler looks like a nice target gun. Inexpensive ammo in .22 LR and Magnum, just kind of slow in loading and unloading. But who cares right? Seems like a nice Range gun. Good luck in whatever you decide. As a plus this gun is fairly inexpensive, which is always nice.
@nebaldeby5369 I appreciate it I ended up going for it just for the same reason I'm not really big on it being slow reload but I think it will be fine and honestly the price and the ammo is such a good price for a nice looking gun im just waiting for Friday to pick it up and plan and taking it out to try it out haven't got it and I'm already happy with my purchase the input was more reassuring tbh
I’ve been looking at the super wranglers for a few months and they look nice. Just curious about how well the cerakote finish holds up after some wear. I originally gravitated to the brown one but if the finish wears quick the black would be a better choice
@@thanielsommers4500 I went with the black one only the cylinder has the famous ruger wear marks the rest of the gun is holding up quite nice after 1000 rounds so far. I only got the wrangler because of the adjustable sights and the 22mag cylinder. To me the gun is a trainer and backyard plinker but with 22mag it could be quite handy in a defensive role or backpack gun. For the price it’s worth every penny. I’ve shot every 22lr ammo through it with no accuracy issues or key holes.
The one i have is holding up with no wear other than powder from ammo residue. It is a very solid good looking single action revolver and as someone said the 22 mag cylinder makes it a better defensive option and I would not feel unprotected. The price for what you get is also great,
It’s good to hear that it’s holding up well. Regular wear is to be expected I just never had anything that was cerakoted so thanks for the information. I like it for all those options as well I figure it be a nice companion when I might see a coyote or groundhog up close or I could cary it for small game since it’s legal in my state to use during hunting season. As soon as I saw ruger added the super wrangler to the line I’ve wanted one. Looks like a fun one for sure
@@owllymannstein7113 yea mine is blued but the only noticeable wear so far is on it where the hand scratches the cylinder when cocking. From my experience with rugers this is common but once everything is worn in it doesn’t get worse or Change anything for the worst.
I got one a month ago hated the big fat sights so I made my own for it from an old broken rifle I had and man it’s a tac driver now with a bead front sight a v notch rear
I train with mine every week. I am very pleased with it. The single six versions are great but at least twice the price. This gun can do a lot and it is so reliable and durable.
Im getting one.
