I served for a brief period of time on the USS John F Kennedy CV67 displacing 87,000 tons with 8 D type boilers powering 4 main engines producing 80,000 horsepower each for a total of 320k.. she was commissioned in 1967 and decommissioned in 07 I believe, my time in service was 86-90. I preferred the tin can fleet as it was easier to get to know your fellow shipmates. Good memories though!

But currently United States isn't wholeheartedly fighting against communist China like the way it fought against the Soviet Russia during the times of cold war. Otherwise it would have vehemently opposed the aggression of communist China into Hong Kong, Macau and Tibet. It would have then armed the Uighur rebels just like it armed the Mujahideens of the then Afganistan against Soviet aggression. It wouldn't have recognised communist china's claim over Hong Kong and Macau. And had fought for Taiwan's status as an independent country just like it fought vehemently for the same status of the tiny nation of Isreal.

The Forestal-class carrier had a displacement of 65k tons.
The Enterprise class had 94k tons.
    Nimitz has 100 to 104k.
Ford class is about the same, although because of no steam pipes for the catapult is listed as 100k dusplacement.
All those US class carriers have 1000 ft. plus decks.
The Nimitz and Ford class have classified top speeds. Any claim made to top speeds is unofficial or a guess, but unlike the HMS Elizabeth, they are capable of outrunning even a Virginia class nuclear submarine as well as almost any other warship on the seas.

But thanks again it nice to see how our ships are advancing with technology. ... I tried to re-up ones the 1st class petty officer told me I was to OLD ( I was a mear 50 y.o) lol .. I told him that was age discrimination .. he laughed and pointed and said there's the door sailor ( jokingly)I told him just think you wouldn't have to train me and I still know part of my general orders ...he laughed again..those young bucks would run circles around you ...his phone rang and we said our good byes with a hand shake thanking each other for serving...so I close thanking all VETS for your service.

IMO, if it does not have CATOBAR, it is not a fleet carrier.
Because the ski jump launch reduces the fuel and armament carried, such a carrier is best used to support amphibious operations.
That is why the LHA's and LHD's of the US, are smaller carriers without CATOBAR, and thus use only helicopter and S/VTOL craft.

Can you please amend your information concerning QE Carrier. The HMS QE is in fact 70,600 English tonnes in weight or Long Tonnes making our tonne i think 2,270 lbs something like that. The American Ton is only 2000lbs so in fact their carriers would be liter if you convert to English Tonnes. Please don't try and make out 65,000 tonnes is right ok I know from looking up on diff sites 70,600 is correct.

Yes, tonne is the metric measure of 1000 kg while usually US ton is the short ton version or 2.000 pounds
A short Ton is the US customary version, is equal to 2,000 pounds
A long Ton is the mostly outdated Imperial Ton, is equal to 2,240 pounds
A tonne, also known as a metric Ton, is equal to 1000kg, (or 2,204.6 pounds)

Aircraft carriers are now obsolete the same way as battleships were obsolete during WWII. This is due to the advanced missiles developed.

More vulnerable maybe, but not obsolete. The hypersonics are not impossible to defend, regardless of what you may have heard
