Hint: Never mix water into plaster. Always mix plaster into water. Also a great mold release is 50% water to 50% Murphy's Oil Soap.
It's easy to make and it works every time.

@@SugerBell-eb3ur The mould release is used to coat the object and then the surface of the 1st half of the plaster.
Google "mould release for plaster" or in general "release agent" to see how the concept applies to all kinds of materials.

You did not mention mold release. If you do not cover the object with a mold release agent (or even spray cooking spray) it will stick to the plaster,

how to make reverse mold.. or mold for mold.. small help needed as i have fairly complex objects

What is your release agent?
Why did you remove the bottle frim the original ½ so you could line up with the other 2nd ½ properly?
Where is your fill hole to actually fill the mould to use the mould?

How are you going to use it
Hi is this the some material they used to cast molding crowns, I’m working on a project that is like 50 years old and we have to fix parts of the existing molding crown but I’m not sure what what type of mud they used it’s white and is really solid also they textured feel smooth, any help?

you incorrectly mixed your plaster it should look like a dried lake bed you mixed yours to soon also you didnt mention lubricating your mould if you dont lube ur mold it wont come open again

@@Yannick432 you can use a thin film of petroleum jelly, WD-40 or any kind of oily/greasy substance

He must of had two of the exact same bottles 🤷🏽♀️
He puts the same bottle back in. Greases bottle and mold but doesn't show. Not great.
He states as he is putting the first mold onto the top of the plaster he just poured, that the bottle is still attached to the mold
@@MotherNatureAndMetalhe pulled the bottle out, I can see that with my own eyes, he missed so many steps, but we got a ton of time watching him trim the mould edges🙄
No way he could have gotten a good mould with 2 bottles, sheesh you couldn't line it up any way you tried, it would be all wonky in every way, depth, centering, etc! He had to have put it back in the original 1/2 which makes no sense to remove it if it has to stay still to get both ½ lined up properly
U need vents
you add plaster to que water not the other way around! Paris Plaster is the worst plaster you could use for slipcasting ceramics.
yeah either hydro or ultra cal are the best
How to dry the mould once it get wet
Some people bake it in an oven on low heat for maybe 20 minutes
I say stop complaining youbwatched the video already right or wrong it came out ok
