After having a few days to reflect on this movie experience, I haven’t changed my mind. Absolutely loved it and it is one of those movies I would like to go back to the theater and see again. Just that good for me. And, yes, the 3 hour+ runtime did not feel long at all. With so much to look at and take in, napping was the last thing on my mind! :-) Great video review!
For me the story was boring, the music was unnoticeable and didn't stick with me, and I guess I didn't get sucked into this movie like I was in the first movie, I guess I'm not a big environmentalist, so I don't feel sad, I guess I'm on the humans side, I don't care about the blue cats, I'm interested in how earth will colonize Pandora, colonizing is a violent process unfortunately, the strongest will survive, with Sully the navi have a chance of fighting back with his military knowledge even though in this film there's kind of a jump in technology that he would be unaware of maybe even changes in military tactics, since it seems to take 20 or more years for any spaceships to come from Earth and more time to maybe plan a invasion or colonization plans, for me that's more interesting than Pandora
I think it’s a five year trip back and forth, but yeah definitely some tech advancements (exo suits and recomms) but if the violent colonization part is what interests you, I think you’ll like the next movie a lot more! Thanks for stopping by!
@@Xwing5 considering that Earth the homeworld for us humans is dying, it's understandable that the humans will be desperate to colonize Pandora, as far as we know in this universe, Pandora is the only planet where humans could live on without needing to terraform, which terraforming takes time and lots of money that humans may not have time to do, since we are focusing on what's happening in Pandora, we are not being told what kind of damage we are dealing with on Earth, if there's some kind of Doomsday clock where the humans need to move from Earth in a certain time, colonizing is sad and unfortunate, in our history in my opinion the colonization that happened in our past did not have to happen, that colonization was just due to greed and looking down on the natives of different cultures, yes we are seeing the same racism and misunderstandings on the natives of Pandora, the first movie introduced that the scientists was trying to form schools to teach the natives how to communicate with humans and coexist, in hopes that the two species may coexist together on one planet, it will be a difficult fight but maybe with Sully's help with his military tactics, Sully could somehow form some kind of treaty with the humans, but historically humans always want more than what they have. So I really don't know how this franchise is going to go, I don't see how this franchise will ever end, the subject matter of the Avatar films are interesting but historically we all know how it ends, with the natives being slaughtered and the survivors put into slavery or maybe humans and Navi becoming one, as hybrids, since in this movie we are introduced to the notion that somehow humans can breed with the navi, or maybe humans will find a way to become immortal in some weird way by downloading their memories into Navi avatars, my guest is the series will end with humans and Navi forming a treaty and coexisting by showing the humans different ways to exist without destroying the ecosystem.

Avatar is AWFUL but most things to sell the assimilation of slavery in every population as a CAREER simply EVIL
