There is a big difference between violent acts done in the past by groups claiming to be Christian and atrocities done by Islamists that continue to this day. Biblical Christianity makes no room for war and conquest in the name of Christ, while Islam is filled with war and conquest from the beginning as part of the religion. Fundamentalism is very different between the two religions. History also gets twisted regarding the origin of the Crusades. They started because of the conquests being made by Islam to spread its religious and political power. Regardless of any brutal actions by various crusader groups during the different Crusades, the intent was not to take land that rightfully belonged to Islam.
It's funny how nobody ever mentions that these women have been attacking Pearl's looks for the better part of a year because they don't like her positions. I had to stop watching Chrissie Mayr's show because she would bring up Pearl every single episode and whatever crew she had on that week would pile on. Now she pushes back and everybody clutches their pearls (no pun intended). How come nobody has been mentioning any of the attacks on her that preceded this? Basically, this is just more narrative control and tribalism: feminists don't like Pearl and anti-feminists agree with her. If you've only heard one side of this story, that lets you know which side you're on.
@bustervoodoo as far back as I've been watching, both sides have been tearing each other down. I wasn't there on day 1 to say who shot first (Han, it was Han), but all I know is that I've seen this woman go after women who have never even uttered her name. So I very much doubt she is an innocent. She propagates the cycle of sh*t talking and has a vile heart in her chest. I am against this kind of behavior - woman against woman, born of jealousy, insecurity, or simply just for clickbait and engagement. She dares to try to define the value of a woman by standards she does not even follow. If she intended to inspire woman to do better, she has completely missed her mark. Her whole purpose is not for the betterment of her sex, it's to profit and to make a name for herself, whatever the cost. If she truly believed in what she preaches, she should live by those standards and try to be role model. Young women watching this fiasco stand to learn nothing.
@@RealJoRosie I never said you should agree with her, and I certainly never claimed that she is "an innocent". What I am saying is that this is a fight between two cliques of mean girls, one of whom (I would bet) all attacked her before she ever uttered any of their names. If both sides have been tearing each other down then aren't they both equally guilty of propagating the cycle of sh*t talking and being bad role models? So why is the backlash only directed at one side? And if this has been going on as long as you have been watching, why is it only now that it's worth commenting on because of these latest posts? Don't fool yourself, both sides are doing this for clickbait and engagement - nobody here has ever taken the high road. There's plenty of blame to go around on every point you mentioned, the fact that only one side is getting called out is due to exactly what I said: narrative control and tribalism. If you're truly against this kind of behavior, you might have to risk offending some people within your own sphere.
