Ahh yes... I am planning to do the same in my own country....
black concrete lake inside a giant greenhouse, sea water gets pumped into the concrete lake. sealed greenhouse over the lake will pump out the condensate fresh water
Just having prospering forests also produces rain. Actually in many places where forests are cut or groundwater is extracted too much you can see substantial decrease in rainfall. This makes for overall less water.
I have an idea for a video of the same type of topic: In the 1980's, Egypt once contemplated the idea of nuking a canal from the Mediterranean to a spot in the Sahara under seas level. Its really fascinating and it's crazy how serious they were about this plane. There's also project Orion, a rocket developed by NASA in the space race that could go to mars using nukes exploding in the back!

My first thought was why don't they just desalinate the water until I learned how expensive it was.
Yes but I would think that building a mountain is much more expensive.
Just pump the seawater into the dessert, it will filter into the aquafers
its not so easy.
The water would not be fresh. The salt frim seawater would not be completely filtered, as you suggest. The end result would be water that is "halfway" between fresh and salty, but not drinkable or useful to agriculture.
So next up, building a mountain in my backyard for solving the water shortage problem...
Cloud seeding seems to be an effective way to counter water scarcity. But assuming it is usable on a large scale, wouldn't the planes produce too many emissions? #livetree #waterscarcitysolutions #watermanagement

True, but some places also get way too much rain, so maybe there could be a win-win somewhere
7/10ths of the Earth is covered by ocean, and the UAE is almost surrounded by sea. It's very possible that the "other places" missing out are covered by water already. Besides, the natural water distribution cycle is not a strict zero-sum game.
Ski Dubai isn't is the middle of the dessert. It is in The Mall of the Emirates, in downtown Dubai.
No sir, Mall of the Emirates itself is in desert. I lived in that Al Barsa area for a brief moment and generally, there is no "less-deserty" place in Dubai, all the same.

The palm island aren’t a great achievement they’re a great ecological disaster and most the the man made islands are abandoned.
No they are not abandoned but haven't completed yet. After 2008 financial crisis Jebel Ali palm island (bigger one) had been put on hold.

These videos are great and very interesting. I really like the subjects and the conclusions you reach.
For some constructive feedback, I believe two things are lacking to really make this channel explode and gain the traction and recognition it deserves.
1. Unfortunately, your accent and delivery is very difficult to understand, almost incomprehensible. You have a very very heavy non-english-speaker accent, you speak very fast, you merge lots of words together, your plosives are weakened (something common in what sounds like german or slavic language background), and the use of a very heavy "wuh" sound instead of "v" (Whery instead of very, for ex.), makes the delivery quite difficult to comprehend, and as a result, to follow. For this reason, it may be helpful to take some diction classes, speak slower, or get a native english speaker to record your audio. With better sound quality, it is easier to listen (especially science-based videos which are inherently fact-heavy), and more interesting to follow. With more interest, I think listening and subscription counts could go up if the quality goes up.
2. Cite your sources. Since you are presenting lots of technical information, it's important to cite your research, to give even more value and weight to your content.

Biggest joke of the century...
They made several man made island in Dubai coastal...all literally failed...now on verge on bankruptcy....now rain fall is the issue..better to take water from sea and put it in a desalination plant... Please don't make things complicated...
Desalinating is good but expensive as compared to other methods like these.
They didn’t “All fail” Palm Jumeirah was a success and both Deira islands and palm jebel ali are on hold the only thing that failed was world islands and maybe palm Jebel Ali but that is on hold for now.
Desalinating is still much more secure way
People in the comments.. IDK why people want to hate on Dubai so much. This country has developed so fast in the last 49 years and doing its best to understand and fight problems like climate change, economic crisis etc. One thing is for sure is that expats want to live here, they want to invest in properties here and make businesses here. This place has so much untapped potential and it is built on the grounds of stability, safety, strict law, no income tax
