China is now and has been for some time now approaching a middle class country because of their political government. The commentary of the second part of this video is negative on purpose to satisfy the sensibilities of competing countries.
@CuriousReason: Love these videos! I shared this video with a friend of mine and we starting talking about it, so big kudos to you for encouraging stimulating conversations! Great video. Just one point at 3:11 , warmer ocean tend to have less fish since the most basic food chain phytoplankton only grow in cold water. Fish in tropical seas exist mostly near the shore because of nutrient discharged from river. Amount of fish in tropical ocean are not abundance at all and that is why no tropical countries has large sea-food companies.
Wow interesting. But why no phytoplankton in warmer ocean? They still produce energy by photosythesis, which would be the same in both warmer & colder oceans....... Weird.
@@pebblepod30 Warmer ocean water stratified (means upper layer and lower layer hardly mix). Reason is that water is densest around 4'C (~39'F) so that deep water is always around 4'C. So northern latitude where surface water temperature swing above and below 4'C ( either day/night or seasonal changes), upper layer and lower layer will mix. In lower latitude, surface water is always above 4'C, so that no mixing with lower water due to temperature swing. So mineral/nutrient rich lower layer water doesn't reach to the surface where sun light reaches. That is as much as I know (I am not expert). Please correct me if someone knows more about this.
There are so many good ideas here. The world wants to make China the bad guy or a joke, but they really should be learning from them. Great video. Very fun to watch.
Most likely much higher, probably not as high as like the USA, Brazil, because most people kinda blindly follow the government which is actually kind of a good thing in a covid situation
Great vid. China is so fascinating. They had great success lifting their people out of poverty. What's interesting is that they've been more successful with their dictatorship and "socialism with chinese characteristics" than countries like India have been with full on capitalism and democracy. A lot of people thought China would democratize and open up to outside investment once they develop economically but it does not appear like that's going to happen any time soon.
There is an old saying in China, "people take food as their heaven". Historically, any government has put the people's food first. They know that their regime will only be stable if the people are fed, but unfortunately, only the current Chinese government has done that. China's per capita consumption of vegetables, fruits and eggs ranks first in the world, and the per capita consumption of grain and meat (including aquatic products, China's per capita consumption of aquatic products is also the world's first) is close to that of developed countries, far exceeding the world average
Very informative and great graphics! I've watched several of your videos and subscribed. Keep it up! One unsolicited idea to consider that might increase your views and subscriptions, and I don't like saying it, but have you considered keeping your videos under 7 minutes? I'll bet these take you a lot of time to produce and I applaud you for your fine research and animations. But if you look at all the informational channels out there that have made it big, they keep their videos relatively short. People come to UA-cam to browse and unfortunately that means people have short attention spans... Cutting and editing everything down may be painful but I think you really have something great here and I think you could do it without dumbing it down or sacrificing quality. Just a thought. Take it or leave it. Either way, nice work and good luck!
Wow fascinating stuff, the link between China's strengths and their trade decisions is eye opening - great video!
