I love my new Birkie Boston suede clogs, but they’re strictly for at home. For the transitional seasons, my beloved Birkie Arizonas aren’t warm enough, but my equally beloved Steggmann wool clogs are still too warm, they’re for winter, and with socks. I must have super-comfy shoes for puttering around my house and sneakers can get sweaty, which I hate. When I go anywhere, I love footwear with a 2-inch or so block heel. I can’t wear high heels, 3-inch or higher, or pointed toes, but the extra height of a medium heel gives me confidence. I’m self-conscious about shrinking two inches since young adulthood, and I was only 5’6” then. Now I feel smaller and dumpier than I’m used to and my legs, figure and clothes don’t look as good without some height to my shoes.
I agree with that. In the 70s my friend came over to my house wearing those and I said what are you wearing? She said these are my Birkenstocks there comfortable I said they look like men’s shoes. Those are the most unflattering ,un feminine shoes I’ve ever seen.😮
I agree with all of these! These are some of my favorite videos. I find it interesting that leather items are considered "high end". I personally equate leather to animal cruelty which is in no way classy.
I wear Birkenstock type shoes in the fall for quick trips to the store but won't wear them for a complete day. They look frumpy but are very comfortable. I agree with the rest because they either look weird or out of date
I use lash paradise by L’Oréal!! (Its the pink colored tube) In my opinion, nothing is superior to that one 😜 I’ve been using it since I was a young teenager!!
Great tips that were spot on. You seem so young to be so knowledgeable on fashion. I have no doubt that you are going to go far when it comes to fashion. Ty so much. Loving your channel and style.
I like the crisscross waist jeans. They are definitely trendy and make you look modern but they are also so flattering and make your waist look so snatched!
I love my Birkenstock clogs!! I understand they’re not chic or stylish to some degree but I love wearing them with my flare jeans and sweat outfits etc. I’m sorry but even tho I look very put together when I leave the house, I don’t really care if a boot would look better with my jeans..Im going to the grocery store, I’m going to the movies, going to catch a plane, hanging out with a friend (at home). I want to b cute and comfy for all of the above reasons. And I think the clogs are perfect! But I definitely wouldn’t call them chic or classy lol
I don’t buy clothes from fast-fashion brands or Amazon, they’re always super-cheap quality and, at Amazon, decades out of style. (Unless the item is from a known brand like Levi’s). Once a Chinese manufacturer picks up a trend, they keep making that item forever. I don’t wear any synthetic materials, I’m allergic to them, but I think they really cheapen any look anyway. I try to find all-natural materials at high-street brands, but will shop at the next higher price point, too, to get what I really want and need. I agree with you on these points, but I buy fewer, better and less trendy to begin with.
When you said you don’t see anyone wearing Birkenstocks out and about, it made me laugh. I see so many influencers pushing leather or faux leather pants. I have NEVER seen anyone wearing them. Thank goodness. I think they look awful.
Good call outs. The only thing most Americans aren’t aware of, is the more nickel mixed into gold the softer color it is…so the more fake or less total gold, the less yellow….🙃
I love my Birkenstock Boston. I don’t think they look cheap at all. They’re adorable with jeans and a chunky sweater. I actually hate shackets and cheap bags
I think the ONLY reason oversized - sleeves that are too long and hang past your hands are popular is because it’s easy to make money influencing products to Amazon, Walmart or Target web platforms and those cheaper products don’t offer more custom sizing like petite- to get around this limitation, influencers who are typically young and thin can’t find anything that fits them properly either so they sell it as in style oversized and ‘cozy’ . Influencers push the dupe Birkenstocks- it appeals to teens and college students- they are absolutely hideous!
@@ElanaKinda It bothers me because you have such natural, thick, lustrous hair! Don’t bleach it, I would get a good trim and let it grow natural. Think about it, you have gorgeous hair dear.
Yes we still and will always love you Elana lol trust your good taste 😉more Fall and winter styles pleas!
The criss cross jeans are so weird! I'm glad you called them out!
Right?! I noticed people have stopped recommending them too 👀
They look like a child tried altering their own pants at the waist
I agree, they just look wrong.
❤❤❤I laughed so hard when you said ‘tapochki’ about Birkenstocks. So true! 😂😂😂👌🏻
😂😂😂

You are absolutely right Elana
I never understood the hype around Birkenstocks. They’re not cute to me at all
It’s not about their looks, which aren’t much, but about their great comfort. I wear mine at home only.
They look like they are for big, wide feet
Amen to that!

Good points! Agree with them!
I completely agree with you!
Great video with some good fashion tips 😊I don’t like the scrunchiie boots either😂
Right!!🙈🙈
I have an MK dress with the laces at end it’s quite nice 😊
Don't worry, you can have your opinion and we really appreciate it ! 🙂 Love your lashes. Can I ask what mascara you use ? Thanks

Awwwhhh thank you so so much!!🥹🥹❤️❤️
You spoke my mind. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love lug sole loafers- in the cold, what kind of socks!
Loved this video! And completely agree on all the points ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Distressed anything looks cheap to me. Also, there’s a fine line between sexy and cheap!
Totally agree hate distressed anything
I’m with you
I think the birkenstock clogs are a similar idea to pairing white sneakers with work wear, or even dresses. But the clogs look better.
Love this xo from Toronto
Agree with all👍

I agree I hate when they push all of the cheap Amazon clothes. Gross

Where I live ( coastal SF Bay Area) everyone wears Birks either Arizonas or Bostons . it’s a tradition here not fashion. I have 5 pairs!
Lazy?
It's called an Aglet....the piece of the end of the shoe lace. Just for future reference 😊
so nice
I agree 100%
Totally agree those Birkinstocks should be outlawed

COM0LETELY AGREE WITH YOU…CRISS CRISS WAIST LOOKS SO BAD
🤗
Elana, are you Russian? Born in Russia?
My blood is 50 Russian 50 Ukrainian :) but I was born in the USA 🇺🇸🤙🏻❤️ my parents moved to the US when they were 14 & 16 years old :)
@@ElanaKinda: Ohh, thanks for the answer, Elana! Then maybe you speak 3 languages!
Ukraine, 🇺🇦💪.
I think the cross cross jeans look stupid
You’ve destroyed your hair dear, you had gorgeous hair! Get a hair cut shoulders length and throw away all the heating tools
it was actually my hairstylist from 1.5 years ago that destroyed it when she over bleached it and its still recovering. I rarely use heat tools.
