  • Getting to go to @childrensnational and speak about healthcare worker burnout was a once in a lifetime experience. Truly cannot believe it happened. But it was in those sweet moments afterwards where I got to pull aside @vp and @u.s.surgeongeneral and actually TALK to them, that I really felt like I was in a parallel universe.
I felt heard. I felt validated. I felt appreciated. We have so much that we need to improve in terms of our modern healthcare system but I felt hope for the first time in a long time. I’m not that old (or at least I don’t think I am, I guess that’s comparative) but I didn’t realize how little time it took for me to get disillusioned by the system. Standing there felt like I was at a personal tipping point. If I was up there, then something good was happening. Someone was listening. Someone was seeing the incredible contributions each and everyone of you make on this page. Someone saw this as an opportunity to collaborate to hopefully make some positive change.
I’m just really hopeful. I’m going to sit with this happy feeling as long as I can ❤️
