    I am a retired sports photographer, and I can tell you that being on the sideline of any sport can be dangerous. Football sidelines are just way too crowded, and sometimes when a player is coming at you, there is just nowhere to go. I heard about a young woman who was shooting a high school game, who got run over. She hit her head on some concrete, and died a few days later. I decided that it just wasn't worth the risk for me. The only games I cover now are of my nephew who is in high school, and even then I have my head on a swivel.

      I am “old,” and I was asked by the local high school team to operate the 40 second play clock.
      The first game, I was in the press box. But it was decided that I should be on the sideline, standing at the line of scrimmage.
      After one season, I gave it up. I considered it to be too dangerous for a geezer like me.

    Man, I know that the guys on the sidelines should be aware of whats going on around them and what not. But damn, it's kinda messed up how these players just knock over unsuspecting individuals, old people, and sometimes women and like 99% of seem to not even care that they could've ended someone's career right then and there! I guarantee if they were fined they would stop real quick like.

    • @RandomCarrot2806
      @RandomCarrot2806 6 місяців тому +5

      Maybe because every time it's a injury risk to the players that can effectively cost them hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars just because the sideline personnel couldn't get out of the way. The security personnel in charge of watching the stands have an excuse for not paying attention but the rest of them sure as hell don't. The players are the product, not the sideline people, so it's on the people on the sideline getting out of the fucking way.

      No, they do care, but at the time, their minds are on the job, playing football. They know that there are medical people on the sidelines to help anyone seriously injured. Everyone on the sidelines knows the risk they take standing there, and the players can't just stop when they are running at full speed. They care they just have to get back on the field.

    People are commenting about the players not checking on the people they knocked over. The players have to get back into the field because the clock is still going. My son played football, not professional, and he hit a cheerleader. He stopped to help her and make sure she was ok and he was chewed out by the coach. I'm sure they will go back later to check on them.
    The people in the sidelines know there will be chances of them getting hit at full speed. These guys can't just put on breaks. These guys aren't heartless they just have a job to do and they know there are people who can give aside to seriously injured people. If it is a player who is injured on the field yes they are going to stop the game because you really can't play around them.

      Actually on closer inspection it looks like he was just bugging the ref for a late-hit call on Seattle...

    These players are so full of themselves. I understand play clock but it only takes I’m sorry and then you can walk off, but they just get up and don’t even look back.

    Typical "I don't give a shit about you" attitude when they padded player flattens you they just walk away leaving you and in cases, not even a backward glance. As if they don't care about them But if a padded player stays down then all the players flock round to see if they are ok.

    Most of these players have zero empathy. I bet if Shohei incidentally knocked someone who is not part of the game down, he would be trying to help them get back on their feet.

    The Down Judge said he was fine.. then said the runner was out at second and the white team would get 2 free throws.

    Shows the incredible CLASSLESS character of most of the players who freight train someone and never even turn to check on them. The only reason Witten did with the cheerleader is cause he wanted her phone number lol. Figured he owed her for the "free ride" lol

    The way they could care less when they slam into people on sidelines with no remorse is why i never have empathy when they get hurt!! Millionaire pos

      That doesnt make you better than them some players do check if the people are okay and help them up

      Again, you have no way in the world to find "no remorse" and those standing a foot off the field are just asking for it. WTF you want the players to do, just freeze solid at the boundary line??
