Not always, at times it's pretty awkward especially when they have to go to ridiculous lengths to not mention "death", but the censored lines can be pretty good at times, the uncut version definetly overused swearing, especially "damn", probably to get an age rating that would allow them to make the censorshipless version in the first place and air it on adult swim.
I personally HATE how they retain the Japanese names for the original dub, it’s jarring and defeats the purpose of localization. If you’re gonna be that “faithful”, might as well have krillin yell out “Spirit Circle Cut!!” Instead of Kienzan

It’s the name of a cultural Hawaiian king, Toriyama just wanted to make sure it had a “Kame” prefix for the turtle hermit. “Turtle destruction wave” is an example of a fair translation rather than a literal one. The actual most literal translation you can derive from the writing of the word is “Kamehame Wave”
