Leaving your concrete at a lower level then the ground is a bad idea. Always make it mound higher so that water runs away from the beam. Wood inside concrete can not dry. It's wise to place loose gravel in the bottom of the hole to facilitate drying.Gravity will do the rest.
If the wood is below ground level and concreted in, any creo based formula, creo cote or creo sote spread over that area will decrease water penetrability while also killing off the micro organisms that will feed on the wood. But that will result in more maintenance down the road till the time comes to replace the poles. Also check your local laws before using creo based products and if necessary source a different product that will kill off the microorganisms attacking the wood. As is, I suspect these poles will have a 3-5 year life depending on rainfall and timber pretreatment. As they are made to support body weight the better protected the timber structure is the more confidence you can jump on the bars year by year knowing they won’t fail due to wood rot. Also, it looks like a dry area where soil can drain. Consider digging down 3 inches deeper and lining the 3 inches with gravel. Then place your timber and build up more gravel around it before pouring cement. If you get it right the timber will be exposed at the end to allow water to pass into the gravel and disperse into the the ground.

that pole Is nearly as thick as scaffold id need something a bit smaller diameter. this is the best fitness type of equipment ever . im definately making one like this thanks guys

Hola!!! el parque ya tiene 4 años y aun esta utilizable. la madera se agrieto un poco por la lluvia y sol, pero con 4 años de uso, promedia un costo de 18 dolares por año, siendo que costo 70 dolares solamente. Asi que es una super opcion ahorro/beneficio!

So i got somekind of a trouble , i would like to put some sets of calistenics outsite my apartment but i will need to make it with iron becose i live in a neighborhood with gypsis and they wouls cut the wood for fire anyday when i m not at home.
Los Polines de Madera normalmente son económicos, los que usamos fueron de madera de pino...... al estar impregnados con preservantes, son mas resistentes a hongos e insectos.... Si quieres gastar poco dinero, son ls recomendados.... si tienes mas presupuesto, puedes usar polines mas gruesos o buscar maderas mas fuertes (aunque mas caras)... muchos saludos!

get metal and got to your homedepo, ask the dude there for a metal treath to prevent rust...will not hold forever...but you will be good for 20+ years^^

I would have set the polls first before mounting the bar because once you start putting weight on it, they will sink into the ground and become uneven.
Daniel Taylor se did this way so we can raise or lower each side while levering de bar.... you can do It the way you say It but keep un mind that you need to have to measure and do It all extreamly perfect because It will be harder to fix any inclination the bar may have due to the terrain, the hole you make or the placement of the poles... if you make the park remember to tag us on face @kubebarz :)

i thought of building my own park, too. All in one it is pointless and not as good as rings. I mean they're cheaper and adjustable. They train your stability, too. Just buy rings instead🙈

Yes, use the same size drill bit as the bolt, it will not move

You can also make it using iron poles. It will be more expensive but if it is the only option, then you already know what to do!!
