I was a very loyal kind trusting person. But now experience with people. Espeically with women has turned me into what i think of as a 'cold savage with a smile' because it seems to me the men most rewarded are the ones who are selfish and cut others down without hesitation. When I was younger, I romanticized the idea of being an asshole. It was easier to have fun out in public when I had this fake personality I could adopt and ignore the potential consequences of what I was doing.
I’ll say this; acting like an asshole for a long period of time demands a price on your soul. You don’t have to be a “good” man, but it’s important that you can sleep with yourself at night and not be ashamed of who you see in the mirror.
Very true I used to be a straight menace smashing women left and right cheating in every relationship, and cussing out anyone who tried me women included. Before all this I was a nerd incel and sort of adopted the mindset of not giving af. Mix that mindset with friends who were encouraging this behavior and even doing the same thing 2 years of my life I was completely different from who I was. I’m not married with kids and look back on those times with laughter, but also shame that I thought that was justified.
