Konami released two different video game versions of RollerGames in 1990-1991 for different platforms: a console version for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and a coin-operated version. The NES version is a side-scrolling action game, while the arcade version adapts the format of the original TV series. In 1989 the World Alliance of Rollersports released a CD Soundtrack album featuring the show's theme song "Rock & RollerGames", as well as team theme songs "Made In The USA" (T-Birds, sung by Rockers skater Darlene Langlois), "Hit And Run" (Hot Flash, sung by skater Tammy Hansen), "Rock It" (Rockers, sung by Langlois, Hansen and Holly Fields), "Bad Attitude" (Bad Attitude, also sung by Hansen), "Kick Butt" (Violators) and "No Brakes" (Maniacs). The album was produced by Douglas Cooper Getschal, who sang "Rock & RollerGames" and a few other tunes. (The RollerGames music is currently being used on the internet radio program RollerShoot.) In 1990, Williams released a pinball game, RollerGames, designed by pinball designer Steve Ritchie, with features the main theme song recomposed by Dan Forden. G.C. London Publishing, the original publisher of Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine, put out its first and only issue of RollerGames Magazine.
They have a marathon of RollerGames on FS2 all day and night long till 6 in the morning, But only going to watch it on and off thru out the day and night and morning, LOL :P
Dang this song is catchy.. It will be in my head all day. I'll be naming every city in the U.S. The guitar riff sounds like save by the bell when he runs up the stairs.
RollerGames was rerun on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2. Aside from two performances of "Hit and Run", this was the only performance allowed during those reruns.
Wish I still had my red hair @ 0:43 Still have the Danzig t-shirt though 🤘 Little embarrassing to watch now but we had a blast going to these 30 + years ago.
here after the mention in the Netflix 'American Gladiators' documentary. this is AMAZING.
Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was wondering who stole his jacket.
The Kid at 0:49 with the painter "Hulk Rules" hat.
Wow that was a blast from the past! Thank you, American Gladiator doc!
This should be our national anthem.
👍
Thumbs up to that!!!!
I'm down!
Who needs Francis Scott Key when you have Douglas Cooper Getschal 😂😂😂
Although this was decades ago in my childhood ,I never forgot this damned song 😂😂😂
You notice that he mentions a lot of places and does the chorus, but he says absolutely nothing about what Rollergames actually is.
You're supposed to "come check it out, see what it's all about".
First i ever heard of this was on the netflix american gladiators doc
Same
That documentary is where I heard more of the theme song instead of just the end of it
A Texas Roadhouse masterpiece...

They really do be out here playing this on sports channel
The theme song is most addicting.
This show needs to make a comeback!
I watched some of it on TV on Saturday!! Loved it so much, So vintage indeed
I can't decide which is more spectacular, the tiger print jacket or the male pattern baldness pony tail.
It's the epitome of the 80s virgin rock and roller
Dude rocked the house, no doubt about that !!
💪
You get both for the same price!!!!

I remember watching this when I was a kid. My family enjoyed watching it. The good ol' days.

Someone threw something at him and tried to pelt him at 2:09😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Is D.C. Getschal still with us in 2021?
Douglas C. Getschal had a hand recently in some other projects.
Even better, he's still with us in 2022
Remember this from Sat afternoon TV sophomore year of high school.
Someone thought the bald guy with a ponytail was the way to go! 😂😂😂😂

Yep. Good old copyright issues.
I like how this musical number recording is reused in every episode. I'm assuming this was used to "pad" the episodes.
Fun times. Watched every episode
That jacket is a mood.
someone chucked something at his head at 2:08
Shoutout to this singer for mentioning both Cincinnati and Dayton. Guy was clearly a southern Ohio fan.
I remember watching this live. 😂 Im so old.
i saw a full episode of this on cable in 2020. This is indeed the enitre intro.
If someone told me to "put America 1989 into a time capsule", I'd only need to include this video clip. Seriously.
Wish I still had my red hair @ 0:43 Still have the Danzig t-shirt though 🤘 Little embarrassing to watch now but we had a blast going to these 30 + years ago.
Was this legit or was you a paid extra ?
@@zachthezombieTotally legit. I think we heard about it on our local metal station KNAC and went down and had some fun for a couple of hours.
@@gorillabmxusaso did they let you in for free . Its not a bad way to spend a day i guess
At 2:11 you were having a good time 😂
Where is your friend now?
We're coming to you from Kalamazoo, Boston, New York and Honolulu! The opening line from Rock n Rollergames!
0:54 - bikini top and a fanny pack! God bless the late 1980s/early 1990s!!
The pinball brought me here
Woody Harrelson and Michael Bolton hybrid
How are all the comments not about Dave Mustaine?
Haha! Nope, not Mustaine. That’s an 18 year old me with the Danzig shirt 🤘
Spectacular!
Do have the ending theme song?
2:08 someone tries to peg him with a wadded up piece of paper!😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I want his jacket!
Epic one 😃
is that dave mustain at the 43 second mark?
HULK RULES (Hulk Hogan) hat at 0:48
2:09 one fan gets brave and shoots the paper wad in a failed attempt to end the skullet anthem singer.
Frank Zappa brought me here.

Same! What a terrific piece of shit this is...
Same!!!!! Long live Frank. I was not aware of this pile of shit prior to seeing the interview.
Frank Zappa is hipster garbage, THiS IS FUCKING REAL.

@ 00:41
Dave Mustaine?
Any other Strugglers come here?
Mentioning Kokomo Indiana 😂😂😂😂
Awesome song but sounds like the soundtrack. Hope he is singing live and not lip sync.
is it just me or does the guy @ 1:25 look like ryan seacrest?
American Gladiators was superior
Wow, how stupid the 80's were. And we had no idea at the time.
Frank Zappa brought me here.
