I think this might be one of the cars in my perfect two car garage. It’s truly a jack of all trades. Other car would probably be a half ton truck or body on frame suv to tow a boat and haul family.

BMW’s shift programming for that ZF 8-speed is perfect. The fact they make it feel almost like a dual clutch transmission is just insane.

i have a question how do you get the vehuchle itself to review do you just go to the dealership and ask them for a test drive?
In the end it’s personal preference. I personally think that BMW has always focussed on the driver and driving experience and still does now, compared to mercedes and audi. There are just the little things like the center console being angled towards the driver that make the driving experience better than in a merc or audi IMO.

Why has BMW changed the layout of their instrument cluster? It seem counterintuitive to have the dials moving in different directions, no?
The ultimate BMW to me is the M5 Comp. How much more car do you get with the M8 for the huge increase in price?
Notice how the digital dash isn't flickering like the heads up or even the infotainment system. That typically yields a high refresh rate for accurate readings, one would hope, of rpm or whatever else its showing. Thought that was interesting.
I'm kind of having trouble believing these speeds, are you sure the speed is in mph ? I keep thinking that's gotta be in km/h because turning speeds at 90 mph just sounds incredible

Also, BMW has always struggled in this price bracket--their cars are simply not special enough to command nearly anything about about $120k. The car is nearly $70k more than an M5 but barely faster, with less interior room, and a near-identical interior. If anyone wants one, just wait a few years because they will probably depreciate at a stupefying rate.

Let the monster wake up. Out of all German car manufacturers, these M-Powered BMW vehicles have a very good resale value. That's something to think about when buying these. I also think majority of viewers of this channel don't have the money to buy this thing.

The Grand Tourer of all cars...almost..Lexus LC500 is the edge..both are my favs..I would choose this over the C8 because it's claustrophobic to me..
Its funny when you complaint about others M car is harsh when daily drive. Then when M8 make it comfortable for daily driving, you complain it dont have soul. M8 is just a comfortable car like any luxurious car when come to daily drive, and can become a beast when you want it to be, just push the "M" button.

This car is a beast no doubt. But as the highest number M car you can buy, it doesn’t really seem to have anything special about it. This thing could easily be mistaken for a regular 8 series unless you opt for a flashy color like this. The engine is the same TT V8 we’ve seen in every other M car above the M4....would’ve loved to see the V12 make into this car along with similar body treatment like the M2/3/4’s.
This is easily explained. The car was designed to be a 6. Their "brilliant" marketing decision to name it an 8 followed later.

I think it was weird you were so not ok with the price like you actually paid for it. And you sound turned off even by the speed it can hit but that the attraction of high end cars the speed they give. Was there actually something missing in the drive? Or were you just expecting more? I think you need to have really pushed the car to judge it.

when he says third fiddle makes no sense, porsche sure. But what does mercedes’ make that compares to this. GT 63? Which costs at least 10-20k. For 10-20 K the amg gt 63 is slower than the m8 comp, doesn’t look as good (my opinion), Interior doesn’t look as good. So where does this play third fiddle?? Porsche is another beast i’ll admit but amg doesn’t really make anything like this lol
