      Everyone was kind of drained after Majin lost. Ontop of that the first match was like grand finals hype and it burnt alot of people out. MY throat was hurting and it was just the first match And i think that carried over to DBZ too even though there was a decent break.There was like 4 people just snoozing in their seats in my section and even i fell asleep amidst the cell screams

  • @Leadblast
    @Leadblast 6 років тому +9

    Moments like these are what distinguish King players above the rest. Because King is one of these mid tier characters that has the potential to match a top tier char like T7 Dragunov, but you have to work so hard with him to make him win. Other characters are just easy, no work top tiers like Dragunov himself. Yet others are basically hopeless, like Kuma or something.
    But King has historically belonged to that kind of tier which has the potential to achieve greatness, but you have to work so hard. It's no wonder players like Kane (yes, the Lili player, THAT Kane) have given up on him. You have to be special to be a King player and win, just like Lil Majin did here.
    You may have seen Lil Majin's prowess here like it was an anime comeback, like Goku vs Freezer or something. I don't know. What I do know is that I've seen many of these epic turnarounds (like from TheDinosaur, back in the day) and even been a protagonist of such comebacks myself because I was also a King player.

    Commentator's curse in action. Says Majin is about to win the round and finish JDCR then and there, only to have the complete opposite happen!
    Thankfully, mah boi Majin still won the match, but this should serve as a textbook example of commentator's curse. The second they talk-up a player, he begins to lose.

      Aflay using King requires tremendous effort just to master his moves. Unlike characters that have so many safe panic moves, King does not have many options for that. You are stick with slow mid pokes that are 50/50 in most setups and are hard to time. I am also a King main and ohh booy Majin definitely blew my mind after Evo2018.

    majin did great. Still, part of me wanted JDCR to win, not because i disike Majin or something, but because JDCR has been struggling for a while now to win. He did an interview not too long ago where he said he changed his approach to matches and preparation and honestly it's been going downhill for him. I hope he finds his groove again properly. The better JDCR is at upholding his legacy, the more it matters when someone does finally beat him
