Whoa!!!!! Great collection! You're great, Sarah. It would be very cool if you could do another video where you show also your cd collection from Opeth. Greetings from Italy!
Your collection is very cool (I like how you organize it with little tabs), I wish I had one with even 1/4 of what you have. I also was wondering, maybe you answered this in another of your videos but I haven't watched them yet, what is your tattoo of that is on your hand?
Still Life is my favourite Opeth album too..also one of my all time favs! I really got some serious goosebumps when i listened to it for the first time (i still do) 7 years ago..that was the first time i'd listened to an album with serious growls! And when the 10:18 mark came in The Moor...man..I don't think I'd ever felt anything like that!
Nice Stuff, not a big fan of CD's but a big fan of Vinyl... so far I have Orchid, Morningrise, My Arms You Hearse, Still Life, Blackwater Park, Damnation, and Heritage on vinyl..
Thank you! :) would also recommend you "Damnation" to start with the soft side of Opeth hehe, but throw in "Blackwater Park" as well as that is a good way to get a mixture of both sides of Opeth's music. :) Hug Brandon from me when you get the chance and good luck with your growing collection!
Hi Robert! Oh I really do hope that you find some Opeth on vinyl! I'd love to hear about your additions by them. :) How's it going with the Therion LP? You know I really do recommend the earlier material of them if so. And the opera metal later material is very varied in quality but I recommend "Secret of the Runes" if so. That album is interesting musically and is about the Scandinavian Mythology. But later stuff than that one (2001-) is not really worth much of the time, in my opinion. ;)
And by the way the earlier Opeth records were never released on vinyl, Every album up to Still life was issued by Displeased Records in 2000 so you have the first releases.
Just to inform ya, Mikael isn't opposed to growl vocals ;). He just found it subjective to do them on Heritage, and says possibly future records will have them. But hey, Mikael still growls live, and any Opeth music is good, as you said!
Part 2: They have become so focused on making money so the music isn't as interesting anymore I think... The grounder kind of sees it as a business only. I look forward to helping you out with black and death metal records! I'll make more videos of that in the future, I have plenty of good stuff to show. :)
This video is amazing , I SERVED As an incentive to Continue My LPs of opeth Collection , congratulations hope to have contact with you , to talk About LPs ..
Yeah I know but he is quite tired of doing them as he has lost most of his own interest in death metal. It is very lucky that he has such a great clean voice too!
