Classic may be a remake of an old game, but it certainly isn't without its own set of bugs to iron out.
Today im going to cover some of Wrath Classic's weirdest bugs so far.

i think the weirdest bug is that blizzard seems to be blind to the 30000 bots walking around
Fun fact. There is a feral druid tbc pve set, that gives the druid an instant regrowth everytime he shifts into cat form. And its just a 2 piece bonus. So resto druid can just spam regrowth without cast time on anyone.
Regrowth doesn't have a cooldown ... You mean no cast time

The lower pet health bug from mounting would also stack sometimes. While leveling my lock in icecrown and flying around to collect things, it wasn't uncommon to send my pet in to tank something only to realize it was at 5% hp and getting 1 shot. Many times in a row. It was so annoying I seriously considered just leveling without even having my pet out at all

The warrior auto swing reset with the opening of clams was always fun to see the warriors getting clam meat mid fight in nax not sure if that ones been patched out
The mobs in Icecrown (the cult mobs) aren't actually what's broken. There's like an invisible wall or something that's breaking their pathing. Hunter pets also won't cross the invisible line, when you run over it they will teleport to you as if you jumped off a ledge.
Been seeing a lot of these pathfinding bugs in the vanilla and TBC areas, particularly the arakkoa and any mob undrr shelter in tanaris
Like that pathing bug in Gnomeragan before the Electrocutioner 6000, it never got fixed
Apparently it’s the floor texture that messes them up so bad

There are quest mobs near K3 in Stormpeaks which have been evading since launch as well.
Or when you give food to your pet as part of raid consumables and you go down to Vezzax and the pet despawns and uses the food buff (which is as expensive as a normal food buff). That one is great

Hug right and stay to the right near the wall and you won’t lose your pet. Oh but your raid probably goes left to use the los, lol you lose.
One minor bug I remember (but can't remember when it was fixed, and it is already fixed on the Classic servers) is that if you did a _draw weapon_ and then immediately did a _sit_ then you would still draw the weapon and it got stuck in your hand. It was the only way to keep your weapon in your hand while casting spells

The NPC’s stealing gold is actually pretty hilarious…
Look up Enti's Quenched Sword. Not sure if this was ever in the new Classic version of WOTLK but when wrath came out on retail it was a game changer for any 2 hand sword using 19 twink of which my warrior was. Wrath dmg with no level requirement to use.
In ulduar on Hodir, there should be an animation on the falling icicles that shows when the damage is dealt, missing in classic.
In EoE when malygos throws you up in the air there should an animation of everyone flying around malygos, missing in classic.
On feral druid, faerie fire feral should be able to proc omen of clarity clearcasting in cat form, missing in classic despite faerie fire in caster form and bear form proccing it.
I'm so disappointed that private servers provide a better experience than blizzard.
Lots of evadey mobs around northrend. Like the ooze in the sons of hodir cave or the vrykul stuck in the post ymirheim 😂

I think I know what ooze you're talking about. It's stuck on like a part of a cliff like thing inside the cave right? Because if so I found a way to kill it. It's useless since it's just 1 but you basically had to go in melee range and DPS it down as quick as possible within 4-5 seconds otherwise it reset. I saw someone else do this and was flabbergasted. It doesn't work all the time though because it'll get phased into the ground after respawning sometimes.
the biggest mystery in a wow patch isnt the content, its whether it will take 10 months or a year to be released.
Your pet having half health as soon as you land is happening in retail as well. And as far as I remember since Shadowlands, which would make sense because if I remember correctly isn't WoTLk client based on the Shadowlands client?
The warlock/hunter health "bug" was probably a a way for blizzard to "fix" the issue of the pets of warlocks of regaining full mana which meant in turn we could Dark pact them in infinity. I did just this when I was farming Primals with my warlock back in TBC. Never had to sit down and drink/eat. Could just steal mana from pet and be happy because you only had to mount up and fly up to get the mana full on the pet again. :)
After hearing about the Gold bug with the saronite slave quest when it was happening; I was like "I hope they get their gold back" and it was right around the time I was on the Daily Gold Quest path which including this exact quest. Hadn't noticed it or I just nicked the tail end when I heard what was happening. Glad to feel some closure that players were reimbursed
the infinite loading bug on the ship is a feature to make you feel more imersive, CLEARLY
Few weeks ago we got an announcement on grobb(idk other servers) that the cat lady bug was fixed where after u killed her she would respawn it was cool to see the server announcement like that I had to screen shot it
We also had a glitch during hearthing, if you jumped at the last instants of casting hearth it would throw you into the air and kill you it was similar to the goblin rocket boots
I forgot about Ruby Sanctum. I remember back in the day it turned our raider's computers into toasters.
The reason people forget it is because it's by far the most forgettable raid.
It is like the loot; utter garbage.
@@kengurusafari Come on man it has great trinkets. STS, CTS, GTS and PTS will be hot stuff. It also has Penumbra Pendant and great caster cloak
in OG wrath real early in the xpac you could spec titans grip, equip your 2x 2h and then respec to arms and do 11-12k dps as a warrior in pre raid blues for a short while.
How so ? I played wotlk religiously all through the exp maining warrior. Never heard or knew of this
Not sure if this is just a tooltip error as I haven't tested if the damage reduction still applies but a Prot Pally can bless the entire raid with Sanctuary and then respec and everyone except for the Pally will still have the buff. This is particularly useful for 10man groups that don't happen to have a Disc Priest shielding for the Renewed Hope buff. Again might just be that the buff stays on with no effect, too lazy to test it.
I do this all the time when I have 3+ paladins in a raid. I can swap over, sanc the entire raid and then swap back to ret for the rest of the time it's needed. I too am too lazy to research it.

Kind of surprised the T1 druid tier bonus slipped through cracks when back in original Wrath The paladin T3 set bonus gave paladins a no CD LoH if you combined it with the glyph and talent.
One of the worst bugged spells is Dancing Rune Weapon. While it should be doing 50% of the DK's damage, it's actually doing more like 25% of the DK's dmg due to the runeweapon not being affected by most talents that improve ability damage as well as glyphs and also ArP not snapshotting onto it. They could fix this simple thing and bdk would outscale unholy already in toc gear, but nobody bats an eye on bdk since blood=tank retail brain, even when blood was a very good dps spec for most of og wotlk.
Blood = Tank isn't some retail philosophy - Towards the end of original WOTLK it was universally agreed that Blood was the tanking spec. You're playing the ICC patch in WOTLK Classic. By that time, Diseaseless Blood DPS was not a thing anymore.
legit the reason i quit after 1 month. But hey garg gets to to chaincast spells like he never did with a sick hotfix they patched in with i think patch 7.1
On sulfuras before I left the plague event was still up for us.
For the Druid Tranq cd, Paladins had a similar situation with Lay on Hands and Tier 3 bonuses. I believe it didn't get fixed till WoD.
Druid one was a thing back in wrath as well. One gold making thing for people not wanting to play AH game is to go to old raids with very small group and kill bossea/trash. Gold shared alone is really good, but then selling old epics is pretty good deal.
Anyway, doing this in wrath i did have a druid i remeber wanting to run MC and Ony every time i would do it, and that he said was for Traq gear. So that one was a little know one during WotLK
T3 & WotLK talent combinations were a problem even back when WotLK was originally released. Paladins could get a Lay on Hands without any cooldown, which was even more OP than Tranquility.
IIRC this was fixed during PTR, never hit live.
this tranq usage feels like an instant kill of XT HM, at least in 10m... Even in 25m if druid could swap groups fast.
and XT HM drops REALLY important HM gear.
Wasn't the Cult Researcher NPC bug also a thing during the retail prepatch event for Shadowlands? Seeing these mobs in that room reminded me of something similar I might go crazy I don't know but I think there was pathing issues there too.

saronite bombs also rebuild Malygoss platform... making it so that you cant loot the chest
The most bug I’ve encounter is where like one of the mobs would be below the ground like a boar for example. I can’t attack that boar specifically or it just gonna keep evading me. But if I get close it come to me when I attack it which was weird.
I really like playing hunter but the pet losing half of its hp was one of the reason why i didnt play it. Second one was when i had my pet on assist mode, it just doesnt go automatically to attack, so every time i had to send it in manually and in dungeons, if the target i sent it to dies and i was using volley at the time, it would often break my channel when id send my pet to next target.
So far the bugs I’ve had are raid and dungeon bosses randomly deaggroing and going back to full health mid fight, falling out of the map and dying, and dungeon bosses not having any loot on death. All have been rare or one time but memorable every time

Pet hp dropping to 50% was also on the real version of wotlk and it stacked if you kept mounting and unmounting quickly. But pet hp recovered ridiculously fast out of combat so it wasn't a big problem if you didn't plan to land on a group of elites. And active pet healing as hunter was so strong it was like having 5 healers on it.
Those mobs in ice crown were bugged all of original wrath too. I use to farm that area on my DK for cloth and it was never fixed.
This WG bug that we got this time in the start of wotlk classic, i remember a VERY similar or actually an identical bug back in original cata launch.. Tol barad was it's name? i don't remember... i think so.
So basically it was also a "Deal" between alliance and horde, the attackers would always win and u would get the fastest honor i've ever see in my Vanila-tbc-wotlk-cata journey.
There was also some bridge stacking but i don't remember what was that about.
All i remember is that the honor was NUS and by the time bliz fixxed this, i already had FULL pvp gear.
not a bug but it does stack (told by a guild member)
pally talent (improved devotion) stacks with other pally having the same thing so in a way you can have 42% more healing on everyone if you had 7 pally running all types of aura well a guild member pointed that it does a month ago he could be wrong about it.
You should do one on the shockadin, pallys had some weird builds

I found a bug where fury warriors with titan’s grip talent (allows you to dual wield 2 two-handed weapons) can no longer equip a staff in one of their weapon slot. I have a lvl 64 fury warrior that I left with a staff in one hand, and a two-handed axe in another hand and left him like that during the start of wrath. Came back to him only to realize he can’t dual wield with staff anymore.
The bug here was that warriors werent supposed to be able to TG staffs or polearms but they could at launch. This was corrected with ulduars release.

Ahh, the tranquility exploit is such a classic in WotLK. I remember it from private servers 😅
dont know if it has been fixed but in p1 if you pop a sapper charge right after malygos destroyed the platform it would respawn and you would not be able to get to the loot because the platform was in the way if you killed him with the platform respawned.

My two favorite items from original wotlk and in Wow Classic they both worked exactly how they did back in my day. Then TBC came and they changed snowball. And NOW they've gone and changed my firework spam item?

The druid Tranq stuff is not even a bug it worked like this during Wotlk the Omen of Clarity which works different now i think because we tried this in Wotlk and it was fun but not really good, was really mana hungry and did not activated omen of clarity or rarely something like this. And you have to move a lot good luck managing the mana.
But yeah if it works like this now i'm not surprised they changed it.
Our borean tundra ship sunk, everyone got disconnected and was unable to login again. Took about a day for us to login again...
Meta gem that grants mana when you swap helms. Indefinitely until full mana. Saronite Vapours being a buff you can just click off. So healers never have to leave the green puddle.
I remember in WRATH every Holy Pally was stacking HASTE to cast Flash of Light as fast as possible. Meanwhile I was beating them to death in the meters with insane crit, and crit was so high it would proc more crits. I could keep both tanks alive alone while being beat on by the boss as long as the tanks were close to me only casting Holy Light. I stacked almost all items in CRIT and a few Haste items, but mostly crit. I would wear my Raid Gear to PVP as they just could not kill me as long as not interrupted casting Holy Light.
As long a a tanks protected me from being interrupted, they could not kill us. Output of heals was crazy. Sometimes double of the other Holy Pally in Raids and he had more advanced gear then me, the clue was each crit would proc more crits. LOL sometimes my meter would show a 60% crit rate.
People getting feared past the fence around Dalaran arena and getting teleported into the centre of the arena during ranked matches
Damn, launch day and people made it to Northrend? Shit, I remember zepping to HF on the OH launch day and free falling under the Barrens instead. Good times
You should try if landing a stun and grasping a target with DK still disconnects people.
I some DK + paladins only played around this exploit in arena.
Ele shaman can still drop totem of wrath, switch to a new spec and keep the totem. Resto shaman can put earth shield on someone and switch specs as well
That’s a glyph. Putting down the totem grants a buff to the shaman. The shaman can then pick the totem back up and retain the 5 minute buff. It’s only 30% off the totems value but it’s valuable.
Blood tap still bugging out and resetting the non-death rune has been giving me hell since week 1
back in day i think mop rogues cthun set i think lowered evation cd by 50% and the new talent did to so the cd was like 5 sec but lasted like 15 sec lol it was fun lasted till late warlords
We've had a weird bug happen last raid, we were fighting yogg and should've gone from phase 2 to phase 3, but instead yogg just disappeared. Still no clue what happened and it was really weird :S Boss just despawns mid fight.
Happened to us too. We suspect it was because someone one of the ads went los and became Immune. Boss resetted so you can't abuse it I reckon. More of a bug that mob can go los in a boss fight.
Happened on auriya for my guild had her down to 5% and she just magically disappeared for no reason
I have seen the cult of the damned members by chillmaw also do the evade bug there
The spider bot you could use in ulduar to kill mim trash you could use to kill Freya hard mode with a mortal strike on the boss in first few weeks the just deleted the mob out of the raid maybe one you didn't mention
god boat bugs bring me back to when I played so long ago on a pc so bad that whenever a boat was on my screen it would brick my entire PC, miiiiight be why I always played horde come to think about it because for some reason zeppelins worked perfectly
The druid nerf is absolute BS. It should not have been removed.

I heard bm hunters 3% dmg was stacking with arcane & ret's but the other 2 didn't with each other. Idk if it got fixed. Also I'm sure since you mentioned playing hunter and volley you were aware of the volley bug that turns your hunter 180 degrees sometimes when you cast volley. (This one did get fixed)
The turn around during volley is still happening though

An ingame bug that had to be fixxed? Yeah flightpath to shadow vault... i first thought i missed a quest for getting me phased.... nope i did loremaster northrend, collected every flightpath available and still no flightpath
I'll be honest, I've always wished that Blizzard decided to look at various exploits n' stuff like that, not as something to be erased from existance as fast as possible, but maybe to be something to make viable, but not optimal. Take the tranquility thing for example, it could've been reworked a bit in such a fashion that it might actually still be viable (albeit with a high skill ceiling needed to pull it off preferably), but something doable for those that want to try their hand at it, instead of just nuking it out of existance. Though tbf I suppose a 75% reduction in tranquility cooldown might still be viable, I dunno.

There's still this weird glitch from launch where I can't just que for a dungeon; pretty weird since I very much remember being able to do that in Wrath.

@@jayjaybob6860 Nah it sucks, if they want people to talk to each other that's what guilds and Discord are for; finding a group and then all meeting up is just not worth the hassle.

@@jayjaybob6860 WoW's entire player population is antisocial basment dwellers. I didn't talk to anyone more than I would in a normal que after the group was going, and there were a lot more assholes I had to deal with from the new system. Also I wanted to play Wrath Classic, not "Here's what I wanted Wrath to be." it killed my nostalgia for the best expansion and made leveling a lot less convenient.
@@jayjaybob6860 That may be by far the dumbest take I've heard. People get into LFG channel, spam what they're looking for, and then 9 times out of 10, don't speak the entire dungeon, unless something goes wrong. Which... is also what happens in RDF. The "fix for social experience" didn't fix anything. If anything it made it significantly worse. Now players just straight up don't want to level alts due to the hassle of not finding others to do dungeons with (don't say find a guild or play with friends, because not everybody in those categories would be leveling alts, or may not be at your alts level), which kills it for those that do want to do dungeons or just straight up level alts and not be completely alone in every zone they play in. It doesn't matter what server you plan on, populated or not, for anyone that may work a weird schedule and only get to play WoW at off times, being one of like, 3 players in the level range of 40-58 or whatever and not being able to do dungeons can be a major turn off for a lot of people. To be honest, if it wasn't for RDF, WoW probably would have died a long time ago. When it comes down to it, it's an MMO (massive multiplayer online, cuz I don't think you understand what that means.) Removing an ease of access of allowing players to quickly group together to do content together, doesn't "fix social experiences"

lv 1s can use the teleporter to wotkl... and higher characters can gain skill in proffesions -,I tried this on one character but maybe the game are as in retail now or cata -I dont know. Blizz dont seem to care explaining.

Just started watching. Those teleport people at the docks/zeppelins were there as soon as launch happened for Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra and you could use them a few hours before the official zeppelin or boat came.

All those bugs in the game as features -maybe a a buggy day on a friday 13 could be in azeroth . But blizz are boring (disappointing ) so they wont do it

Turtle WoW might be an interesting topic to cover. I never been interested in private servers but I recently saw a video on it and holy crap it basically is classic plus. How fans can make that content and blizzard cant' is beyond my understanding.
Well to be fair, after playing on the server the new content is not really brand new content, it’s mostly the same models and terrain used over again in different ways and colors. same with abilties and mechanics.
All this is acceptable on a private server, but blizzard would be expected to have higher standards, which again would be more resource heavy.
I do think we will see classic+ one day, but they’ll probably wait until re releasing old versions aint a big cash cow anymore

Honestly my biggest issue with Wrath Classic atm, is that it's nearly impossible to gear up fresh 80's. Even on Pyrewood Village I can barely find a soul that does standard Heroics, and so my toon is stuck at a GS that nobody wants to bring into HC+. Something that stings, since when I'm on my tank or healer, I don't care at all about other people's GS. Even healed a 2.6k gs prot pally through Some H+ runs and it went fine, even if a little slow.

Molten Core was very, VERY hard for most casual guilds in Classic. Imagine with progressive itemization and patches in fresh vanilla, Molten Core would be close to impossible for most guilds except the most hardcore ones. Like it should be.
it was hard back in vanilla but not in 2019 classic🙈
however part of the success of wow is that the game is actually easy. especially vanilla to wotlk.
Retail has mythic+ to cater the other groups.

And besides, if you're looking for VERY challenging fights in terms of PVE u should go play Retail or FFXIV.
