In the beginning of the show I thought this was a little dumb, but as they kept saying it before hype fights and important moments, it legit started giving me chills every time. Shadow Skill is legendary, since the manga finally finished not long ago I hope it can get a new animation again.
@@juandiegobenitezavendano448 The original isn't that perfect though, it didn't had that much budget, so the animation is lacking most of the time. There are great moments and the series overall is awesome, but it is very easy to make a better one, as long as you hand it to the right studio and give it the proper budget and attention.
@@briansilva3765 I agree with your points, the original wasn't perfect. There were some weak plot points, a rushed ending and a lot of weird scenes that went nowhere, but overall you could feel the talent behind Studio Deen. I think despite a weaker budget they still managed to produce a stylistic piece of entertainment. I don't think they'll realistically give it to a talented studio. It'll just be cheaply animated and each scene will feel flat and so on, like what they did with Bastard; But it would be nice if they made a good adaptation to Shadowskill.

But there are some good ones, like Dragon Quest Dai, the new season of Bleach and Digimon, but yeah thinking about it, the results would be a coin flip if it is good or bad.
i'm not sure if i remember correctly, but i remember that for every episode, the intro (not the opening theme sequence) would include shadows but obviously it was elle and gau sparring and gau would fall to the ground every time. except in the last episode, where he finally beats elle and she's the one that drops.
It's episode 16 - "The attacker from the past". 59th Sevalle Elle failed to defeat 58th Sevalle Kain Phalanx. Her martial arts were stopped and her hand got injured.
I always hated the art style, the animation quality, the character designs, the color palette, even elle's hair style. Yet i am addicted to this series. The concepts of martial arts language and the sevars, as well as the relationships between elle, gau, elles brother, the other sevars like iba stolla and scarface, etc, are just so dang cool.
@@edwardgarcia5343 Gau is the 60th, Elle is 59th. This anime is actually not completed, as it only covers the first 5 (Under Kodansha publication) with additional 11 books (16 in total). Also the elements of destruction scale in anime was like 1/100 when compared the manga tbh, lol. A simple skill like sword/katana could destroy a city
@@antondelacruz9362 He became the 60th and fought all the way through to find out that the guy with marbles (somewhere in the last episode that instigated the attack on kuruda) is actually his and Scarface's dad (Scarface is actually his older brother) The story became something akin of fighting one's fate. Too bad that the manga did not get the popularity it deserves because it keeps jumping from one magazine to the other, (look at what happened to D Gray Man) and that is why only people who lived in the generation of the anime will know about it...

Yes this happened. When I was kid that was always sign to me, that Gau has become stronger than his sister in the end of anime.
