I love your interpretations of Charley Patton songs! Hope to see more in the PCM lessons 😉 Although I admit i’m still struggling with the timing of Elder Green.
I’ll use a metronome to practice occasionally. Mainly the day before I record. My thumb is keeping time. Everything in centered around that. So, just playing everyday, a few hrs a day, is how I’ve developed my timing.
@@PlayCountryBlues Wow - does it have a regular biscuit bridge then? Having a certain amount of difficulty getting my head round that from an engineering point of view..Sounds great though...
Thank you, for keeping Charlie heard after 100 years.
Its relevant to this day 👍
AWESOME! Have you ever performed this behind your back at a BBQ HOEDOWN for the full effect?
You ever try lifting a resonator over your head?
@@PlayCountryBlues No, But I have played my Fouke Metal Lap Steel in this manner. I appreciate your work.
Thanks
Gee, this is SO good! 🫢 Love the percussive part, too.
Thanks!
Hubba, hubba.
Muy buen trabajo
Tri cone sounding great Tom, I need to grab me one, I have a single cone 14 fret from Republic Resonators in Austin, TX
Thanks Tom, you have so much to offer. Perfect example of Charley Patton and your love for the music shows
Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing (the reso sounds good too!)
Excellent ! Steel guitar ? Money ?
Excellent, now I gotta learn it myself from your Patton DVD at the Grossman Workshop.
That was the hardest series to do. Lots of poor audio where your not 100% sure what was being played.

I taught a ton of CP tunes for Stefan Grossman’s Guitar Workshop about 8yrs ago. I will be adding more to PCB site in the near future.
hello Tom. Thank you for this. Do you use a metronome to practice? how do you work on timing? thanks

what tuning are you using? great video, really well done!
Thanks! Spanish tuning.
What a performance! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks!
Wow Tom!!!! You never cease to amaze me.
Thanks Frank!
Excellent, one of the best Patton covers ever!
Thanks!
Another top performance! However... *is* that a tricone? Doesn't look like one...
It is a Tricone. They use a single cone cover plate.

@@rodjones117 yup, regular biscuit sits on top of the T piece that connects the cones. www.muleresophonic.com/photo_albums/1984312/photos/2516402
@@PlayCountryBlues Wierd idea but like I say it sounds good.
(Must be the player...)
@@rodjones117 It's a genius idea...best reso on the market in my opinion. The National tricone T bridge cover plate is a miserable experience.
