What a wonderful resource and video. You did such an amazing job, thank you! I am 65. If I did all the prep work the day before, then all the assembly, cooking , narration and behind the scenes clean up and organizing the day of, I’m quite sure I would be out of breath, exhausted and go to bed for the day! You really both are quite amazing! Praying for you and our country. Val C ❤️🙏🏻
Pam and Jim, thank you for your selfless efforts in teaching us your wonderful lifelong skills. You two are both American treasures. My family and I love, and appreciate your videos. We have learned a lot from you.
I stumbled on your videos while re-taking up pressure canning. I just wanted to thank you.!! I’m also an empty nester cooking for two, living in Utah. I had pretty much given up on long term storage for such a small family. Now my pantry and freezer are full of my garden goodies and you gave me courage to do some meats too. I’m so grateful to you. You two are a light. Thank you for the great inspiration.
Pam and Jim your hard work in the kitchen at 80 for Pam and Jim i am unsure of age is motivating to me. My family and I are cutting out eating out and preparing meals to take to work and when we go out like pack a snack cooler when we are out and about for the day. The prices of today are shocking. But 17 meals for 100 bucks that is awesome. Keep Up the hard work we love seeing you both on here. Much Love from Wisconsin
I would like to tell you, I never attended college, but I love learning and these classes are so fun for me ! Sort of living the college class vicariously through these vids . I appreciate the time and effort you and your husband put into these videos. You are an excellent teacher and I thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I am a Sped Teacher 20 miles away from where the shooting took place. It has rocked the community of Winder quite a bit. We have friends and acquaintances in that area. The churches, small businesses, and so many others have extended any and all services needed to the families, and of course lots of love, hugs and condolences. Thanks for the heartfelt concern. On a side note: love the video and the effort you and Jim put into making our lives easier :)
I can't fathom that I had to hit the like button, and my condolences to any of your students that may have known. God is watching, and though I am just watching many days later this video, things are coming out and making more sense, though nothing makes sense when a child's life is taken. God Bless you.
This is my first RRH class, I I am enjoying it and really like all of your canning videos as well. You helped me get started pressure canning! I started one month ago and I love it! I like your style of teaching and your recipes! Thank you for taking a moment to speak on the state of schools today. We lost ten lives at our high school in Santa Fe Texas on May 18, 2018 where my son was a junior in the same grade as the shooter. We knew him very well, it was a shock to us all yet there were many signs that went ignored, and a lapse in enforcing school policies that are meant to keep us all safe. I was also an employee of the high school at the time of the shooting but had not arrived yet until I had to rush there to save my son who was unharmed physically although it has taken a toll mentally over the years. I appreciate you both and thanks for all the great times!
Thank you so much. I'm watching now. My daughter-in-law was recently in a serious car accident. I made some freezer meals when I flew down to help. Then my son brought our grandson to a soccer tournament locally and I was able to make quite a few more to send back. I need them gluten-free, but I'm getting more ideas. She is going to have a long recovery and I'm trying to figure out a greater variety that I can make as well as see how the ones that I made do. Thank you for this. I even went to the library and checked out books on freezer meals. I don't want them to get bored with what I am doing. This is really helpful. I did a totally wing it method--flying by the seat of my pants.
I tried a gf Mac and cheese which worked great with the freezer. No cook gf noodles are available for lasagne (add lots of sauce). For the Mac and cheese, par cook the noodles and rinse with cold water. Then layer noodles and shredded cheese, salt, pepper, paprika. Top with bacon chunks. I added milk before freezing, bit it could be added after thawing and before baking. Came out great!
Yes thank you so very much taking time to teach meal prep I'm a widow male and have recently started doing meal preps it's a great time saver From my home in Texas to your home in Arizona keep spreading the joy and love
Oh Pam and Jim I’m grieving with you with this and so many other times we’ve turned on the news and hear of another preventable shooting. I’ve worked with children in mental health for many years and I appreciate you showing your grief along with your resilience. ❤❤❤
Prof Pam⚘️ You are a Dynamo! And you also, Prof Jim ! I am amazed, inspired and so looking forward to make out my grocery list today to prepare.... Thank you both so very much for all you do and share with Your Grateful students...Always #teamcantrell❤
Dear Pam, i do something similar all the time. I make double and ‘eat one, freeze one”. As a very disabled person, it saves me so much time and pain. When I’m unwell with infections i often do not want to eat, let alone spend hours cooking. But this way i always have easy, tasty homecooked meals to tempt me its always great to take on vacations!
We like to have meals ready, but freezer space is a premium at our house. We have a freeze drier and I know you do too. Have you ever done any meal prep recipes with freeze dried food? There are other content providers who have done this, but we think it would be great if you could do this too because you are more thorough and scientific in what you do, which would make us more comfortable in using this technique! Keep up the great work that you and Jim are doing!
Pam & Jim thank you for working so hard sharing ideas & putting information at our finger tips! This was an amazing video!I I share your channel with all my friends & family, much gratitude & appreciation! Big hugs on your sweet heartfelt thoughts for our US children. ❤ i agree!
42:28 leveling 😁 Very inspiring session. I don't have a large family, but had long hours while I still was working. So I took one weekend a month for meal prep. Nowadays I just make double portions and stock the extra. That continuous process suits me better now. Hope you got yourself a good rest after this marathon.
Love the intro. What a beautiful sight to see all those meals ready for the freezer. Take them from the freezer to the fridge the night before you bake them--eh, voila--'instant' meal. School shootings have become so frequent as to be commonplace, but the heartbreak is just as real and raw for each family, school, and community.
Yay, I’ve been wishing for another RRH class. Love, love them and the way you instruct ❤. You and Jim are fantastic! I often freeze meals but I need to prep them into more serving sizes like you demonstrated here. My poor husband ends up eating the same thing for days!
Thank you so much for showing us how to make freezer meals to save time and money! I plan on trying this on a weekend when I am home. After work, I am tired so to have freezer meals ready would be wonderful. It goes to show, that you are never too young or too old to learn how to make life easier!
Jim and Pam, these are troubling times for most of us. News of this shooting has stunned me as well. As I cry with you both I needed to pause. May our Lord comfort all the families...
Everybody here please go watch Appalachia Homestead with Patara - she is a Christian woman and Homesteader, very wise lady you will love her channel and she introduces you to all her animals and her baby goats. It’s wonderful to see ❤ She is also in Tennessee 🇺🇸
Pam & Jim: wonderful video for meal preparation. I live in NE Georgia and the school shooting has devastated the community as well as all the nearby communities. The precious lives lost to senseless acts violence. I have several nieces who are teachers K-12. I pray for their safety daily. Thank you for sharing and not being afraid to show your visceral response.
Thank you so much. It is inspiring. I have made enchilada meals for the freezer, fully cooked. But I wrapped the enchiladas (4) in wax paper, then put then in a zip-lock bag. This is what I did: 4 enchiladas in one bag, enchilada sauce in a baggy, cheese also in a baggy, rice also in a bag. And then I was able to put all of these in a one gallon bag. I know it surprised me too. I defrost it in the frig over night. Then I put the last touches to the enchiladas, I pour the sauce over them, and the cheese and back them. For the rice I just warm up in the microwave. I have home canned beans and we heat those up. We have a full meal. I feel that the effort put in preparing meals ahead of time is worth it in so many ways. And so handy when you don't feel good, or ran out of time. But oh, all of those meals you made! Congratulations. And they arrested the young fellow and his father. His father! Wow.
Thank you! You are an inspiration! My husband and I turned 70 this year and raised 4 children. Always cooked from scratch. I’m to the point in my life that by 2 pm if dinner isn’t easy it doesn’t happen! Not good nutritionally. I do can, preserve, garden, and bulk buy We keep a well stocked prepper pantry. I just believe I’m tired of it, I’m certain I’m not the only one that has this dilema! Thank you for today’s video. I admire you and Jim.
I can relate to that! After a lifetime of cooking, it does sometimes seem like a burden. It is these frozen meals that have been a lifesaver for us. Hope you can make this work for you.
My way to get around this is to can complete meals and store them with sides-my version of Pam and Jim's meals in a bag. As I am cooking for one (and a 7lb poodle 🐩), this will work well for those days I don't want to cook.
This is amazing! I’ve made 47 freezer meals along with you just since 9/16/24. We had a big 20lb turkey in my freezer I bought last year for $9! we had to thaw and cook it so I could make room for all the new meals. Of course I had to make the roasted turkey bone broth ha ha. I’ve just been going canning crazy too! We had to add shelving to my basement pantry to hold all of our goodies. Everything we have tasted so far has been wonderful. My husband especially enjoyed the loaded beef burritos, and the spicy pork. Thank so very much for taking the time to educate us all on safe food preparation and preserving. You my dear lady are a godsend ❤️
Since I’m following you on your channel I learned a lot! And I prep a lot! Freezing meals, pantry (canning) and ingredients ready to do anything to eat. Thanks to you Mrs Pam and Mr Jim. My children and grandchildren always said that in case of a nuclear war 🤦🏻♀️ or some king of catastrophe they all going to my house for eating 😂. Please both take care of yourself ❤️
Thank you both again for your tireless generosity. You could be doing so many things for yourselves. You continue to inspire. This is so practical. Thank you for being transparent and in the moment upon hearing the terrible news. May God bless.
I usually make more of a dish and freeze the extra for a meal, but my freezers are filled with contents that make a meal rather than a complete meal. So my freezers are stocked with smoked sausages or hotdogs, turkey bacon and such that should not be canned, eggs, butter, cheeses, home baked goods such as zucchini and banana nut bread, When I did my planning I had much of the foods home canned like the ground beef, beef chunks, beans (red, black, white) or dehydrated, or fresh. Some commercially canned , vegetables, tomatoes, and fruits including milks/dairy for baking. Some vegetables and fruits are dehydrated. So I really have foods that I can put together quickly to make a casserole or meal. My grocery shopping is mostly fresh foods such as dairy, vegetables including salad makings, and fruits. I would need another chest freezer for this project. I have noticed the ready availability of types of foods varies depending on what area you live too. Thank you so much for all this work and ideas. We so do appreciate you both. I feel so grateful and blessed to have you both as my instructors.
Dear Pam, dear Jim, I really echo all the comments on this video, I love watching and learning from you both. You are such dear and good people. I’m an Australian and I am just so shocked and saddened each time one of these tragic shootings occur. We have visited the USA many times and love so much about your beautiful country but how it’s possible for poor troubled children to be so easily able to do these terrible things is beyond our comprehension. We share your grief.
When you were measuring the flour, it brought me back to Home Economics class. My teacher showed us the proper way to measure flour. After we scooped out a cup, we then had to tap on the cup until it all settled in the cup. After that we, stuck a knife in the cup to see if it was fully packed, if it wasn’t we added more flour. Finally, we took the knife and then scraped off any extra flour. It’s a crying shame that schools don’t offer this course anymore.
I really enjoyed your class! And everything looks delicious! An incredible time saver in the future! Thank you Pam &Jim for all your wonderful content! ❤
....ooooh....my 1st time catching your vid & I thoroughly enjoy your detailed, simple to follow direction...you now reach folks from all around the world with your vast knowledge & hard work - amazing for being retired...also, I will watch as many of your cooking vids as I can, but veganizing them with cruelty-free, planet healing & optimal health promoting proteins....God Bless You & your husband, so much, for you both make our lives much richer...just can't say enough how very, very valuable you are to so many... 🙏🙏🙏
You lifted that cast iron skillet of the burner like a champ. I couldn't do that if the skillet was close to me. Thank you for all of this. I live alone and it's horrible trying to come up with a meal. Nothing sounds good but these recipes of yours has made me hungry. I am going to try these and have peace of mind knowing there are meals in the freezer for me. I so appreciate you using normal ingredients. I have everything used in this video except the yogurt and peppers. How cool is that? Thank you very much for this class!
Love your shirt! This is the most helpful video I’ve found so far on preparing freezer meals. Thank you for sharing your time and expertise so that I can be a better wife/mama :)
We actually made something like this last night. But we added yellow, green and red peppers sauteed with onion and used chicken that I had roasted and then frozen in chunks. Turned out fantastic.
About 10 years ago I bought a great book that is all about make ahead meals. Some are assemble only in a pan and freeze, some go in abig zip lock bag and some are designed for a crock pot. It is called Dinner is Ready by Deanna Buxton. I really like that book.
Hi Pam and Jim what a brilliant idea, thankyou so much for planning these classes only one thing missing from the meal plan I downloaded a shopping list would complete it but I love your idea as I have been trying to plan myself as we are doing it tough with my husband being diagnosed with non Hodgkins lymphoma and trips to the hospital for Chem and I personally think that in my household meal planning is essential... Again thank you wonderful couple and god bless you ❤❤❤❤❤
Pam, I think you got the lid for your foil containers on backwards. The foil should go on your containers facing down, instead of the paper side down. The paper if faced down will get soggy and stick to your foods compared to the foil side. The Paper side facing up, is meant to write on… just thought you’d like to know that. 😊
Why does aluminum foil have a shiny side and a dull side? When the material passes through rollers, two layers of foil are pressed at the same time, which reduces the risk of breakage. As a result, one side is shiny and the other is matte. However, the different finishes do not have different functions, and they react with food in the same way.
Thank you for this. It was right on time for me as I was just beginning to plan for some meals like this. Great to have things like this ready for taking to families who are going through difficult times too. i was emotional over the shooting also. We have a niece who is a student there and I too am a retired K-12 teacher.
Oh you broke my heart when you cried. I stand with saving our Children, all of them. Trafficked, stolen or killed. Thank you for all the recipes, I am going to freeze some, just wondering, if I have no electric can I do over a fire pit or Propane Grill and did you grease the pans at all? Thank you again.
I will make extra mashed potatoes in the insta pot. Then I'll freeze them in muffin pans and freeze then I put them in freezer bags.Be sure and spray you're pan before putting in the mashed potatoes. Then I'll microwave them in portions at a meal.
These all look delicious@ I may fix burritos 🌯 this weekend. Thanks, Pam and Jim, for all of the time and effort that you put into making these videos. ❤
Dear Miss Pam and Mr. Jim, I love your channel. There is a you tube channel called "Easy Freezer Meals". I think you would like it. They have not posted in a very long time, but I thought their content was excellent. The channel went through making the meals, freezing them and then re- heating /cooking them. They showed the end result after cooking. I believe they had a business and I'm hoping it survived. The concept of freezer meals can be so liberating from new moms to the elderly that no more enjoy cooking or have the energy to cook healthy meals. Thank-you for all that you do. I enjoy feeling like I am back in a college class room, with an excellent teacher.
Aloha hugs 🤗 I wish O had a Kitchen that wasn't broken I am the Chorister in Waianae Ward. My Family are Pioneers some of the first to enter into the valley. This is the place, I am preparing a Talk for Sunday about Jesus and How to keep him Close and why. I saw him he lives and loves us all .
You are the reason I started to can meals, love it!! A sample of what I have done- beef stew, chicken soup/pie filling, beef stroganoff, chicken teriyaki, chicken curry, Bria beef, besides a variety of meat for use. HAVING A BLAST!! THANKS!!
You are welcome. Thanks for your comments. Jim
Thank you for acknowledging those children, your tears helped me release my own.
I would like to tell you, I never attended college, but I love learning and these classes are so fun for me ! Sort of living the college class vicariously through these vids .
I appreciate the time and effort you and your husband put into these videos. You are an excellent teacher and I thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Every second of this video, and all the time off camera to promote it, is so appreciated. This channel is the BEST!!! Love, hugs and prayers.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that.
What a wonderful thing you are doing for your family. I am wishing your daughter in law a complete and speedy recovery.🤗
Six sisters stuff has lots of freezer meals and you can sort by how you want to cook them. Crockpot, instant pot, ect
I tried a gf Mac and cheese which worked great with the freezer. No cook gf noodles are available for lasagne (add lots of sauce). If you pressure can, the ball book has a great recipe for chicken or turkey pot pie (uses clear gel so GF). I used a gf biscuit mix for the crust.
Yes thank you so very much taking time to teach meal prep
I'm a widow male and have recently started doing meal preps it's a great time saver
From my home in Texas to your home in Arizona keep spreading the joy and love

I’m an Australian and I am just so shocked and saddened each time one of these tragic shootings occur. We have visited the USA many times and love so much about your beautiful country but how it’s possible for poor troubled children to be so easily able to do these terrible things is beyond our comprehension. We share your grief.
Thank you so much for you comments. We appreciate your thoughts.

You both are amazing!
Thank you so much for all your efforts.
I'm sure you have helped more people than you will ever know.
Bless you both. ❤
Watching you get emotional made me start to tear up a bit. You are a kind hearted and loving lady! God bless you Pam with health and long life dear!
Thank you!
Wow! What an accomplishment! This was so helpful, and the recipes look great! Thanks for the well taught lesson!😊
Thanks for your comment.

Pam and Jim, what an awesome video! Thank you so very much❤️❤️❤️
This might sound silly but could you offer a class like this for Holiday cooking and baking?
I think that is a great idea. I will see if we can put one together on that topic. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. 🥰🥰
Thank you for your comments. Jim
We actually made something like this last night. But we added yellow, green and red peppers sauteed with onion and used chicken that I had roasted and then frozen in chunks. Turned out fantastic.
Extraordinary camera work Jim I appreciate it!
Thank you so much for your work for us!
About 10 years ago I bought a great book that is all about make ahead meals. Some are assemble only in a pan and freeze, some go in abig zip lock bag and some are designed for a crock pot. It is called Dinner is Ready by Deanna Buxton. I really like that book.
Thanks for sharing!
Looking forward to trying your recipes! Thank you!
Excellent video. Thank you for all your time and effort.
Again thank you wonderful couple and god bless you ❤❤❤❤❤
🙏
Wonderful video, beautifully done.
Thanks! Jim

Thank you for this video.
❤❤ My favorite class so far. Thank you Pam and Jim.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so, so much for all your hard work in sharing this with us! I think I may need to go buy a small chest freezer so that I can make these! 🤪
Thank You for all your hard work! Can’t wait to try some of these.
Oh my, that all looks so good. Homemade meals with so many good healthy ingredients. Fast food done right! Thank you for sharing.
Would love more of these.
Thank you
Thank you for this.
Thank you for sharing all your videos

Amazing!
Thank you for you beautiful ideas...( from Québec) xx
If you have this much energy at 80, what were you like at 30? SUPER DYNAMO?
I bet they were
Agree

Great meals, girl! They really look yummy, but then, all your cooking does!!
Good day. You can write on the lids temperature and time.
fyi, in food service 30:00 minute mark, we always put the foil side toward the food.
Pam and Jim, while at a Maceys/ Lins today during their case lot sale they had 50 gallon blue water barrels for $60.
Thank you for that tip! We will check that out.
You made it doable!!!! ❤
