The presentation handlebar looks great for special occasions, but I can definitely see incorporating the small handlebar in a daily routine. The 1/3 guideline will be a big help for me!
I'm growing my first beard ever in 47 years, 4 months in now, but from day one I watched a lot of Greg's content and others that helped me avoid mistakes. One thing that always stuck with me is something he said in this video, and he says a lot, "A stray hair today is an in place hair tomorrow" or variations of the same sentiment. I've never clipped even one out-of-place hair, and it's done wonders. If you're new to having a beard and don't remember anything else you pick up, remember that one thing, and it will take you a long way.
I observed in recent years that my mustache center part can engage with the curl portion, thats a blessing. And Sir you are my inspiration to grow a big beard
Greg Berzinsky, the great name of Handlebar Mustache. I appreciate your 3 types of mustache. I am considering let my mustache grow until its final size to use the 3 types as your secrets. Thanks for the tutorial.
Great beard brother. Glad I looked you up. Great "how too" video. I've been growing my beard and mustache for a couple of years and I'm ready to do the "handlebar" Hope mine looks as good as yours. Thanks for the vid Bro.
Awesome. Ive got that same wider, open real estate, facial shape, and growth. And i prefer to cultivate a good bit too. Seeing that styling of the stache for both an easy look, and keeping the hair out of my mouth, while looking groomed. Is really a lifesaver. Thank you man.
Wow! This is the most informative handlebar mustache tutorial I have ever seen! Thank you so much! I am 73 years old and have a white beard. I have a chin beard about 3 inches long and a handlebar. My handlebar seems to have stopped growing. It’s not long enough and it is certainly not full enough. I stopped trimming to create more length. Not much success. My left side handlebar is fuller and longer than my right side. Frustrating. I work at Silver Dollar City. I dress in fancy 1880’s gentlemen’s western clothing and I really wanted to get a nice handlebar, but apparently I don’t have the desired genetics. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Ed
Mr Greg. I have to say this is one of the best videos I have seen from you. I've watched others on how to style your mustache and this one is top of the list. I just cut mine down because I trimmed the middle and it did not look RIGHT at all. I wish I had saw this before last week. I've tried numerous products with some results. Mostly their was no results but o well. Thank you for this video.
My beard and mustache is very similar to yours in all ways EXCEPT mine is wirrey and therefore MUCH harder to tame. Our color is nearly identical and I have learned MUCH from you. Thank You Greg!
Thanks for the education! My wife goes What more beard stuff? I like the natural on you best. But I remember the line from the James Bond movie Thunderball. Felix Lighter told Bond, on you everything looks good! Have a wonderful day.
Large presentation handlebar is the best. But I think it’s cool to have the option of using a small handlebar too. It’s almost like Clark Kent glasses, where you can be more understated, or super handlebar man!! I have a goatee beard that is broken from my mustache, so I don’t think I could hide my handlebar since there is the space between that has no hair.
I like the natural/walrus the best but to eat, petit handlebars - Greg, only you can pull off the full presentation! I just bought some Four Vices styling balm and am now inspired to regrow the mustache and beard long!
Excellent video Greg! Thank you! Question, I am trying to get the same look. How do you get the hairs on your beard to lay down and not stick out all over the place? No matter what I do, they are sticking out and making my beard look 'scraggily'...Thanks for the time to reply in advance.
I already cut the stray hairs prior to watching your video. Do I need to regrow the mustache or just let them grow back and then style them and coax them using product?
I always wondered about trimming the centre part of the moustache or whether it should be left to grow to meet the handlebar part, great info to know thx Greg!
Great tips! I just brought my buddy in to show his styling I'd his handlebar mustache, because I just rock mine natural/walrus style. I really think a mustache completes a medium to big mustache
My opinion is your face handles the larger mustache and looks better. I also have let my "stash" grow to a look somewhere between old west and handle bar. I have had many compliments. It surprised me they were guys that thought I looked distiguished.
Hmm? I like your natural and handlebar versions best of the three. I've always worn a natural as you might be able to see in my little icon, but you have me thinking about the big handlebar as an alternative. Might be a good look for certain places. And, I am taking to heart your idea about leaving wild hairs alone. Good instructional video, Greg.
I prefer the look of the short handlebar. This november is the first time I have let my mustache grow longer over my upper lip. I was thinking of cutting it in december. But with this style it might be possible to keep a longer mustache and not suffer too much eating problems.
These are great styling tips! I'm hoping to be able to try the handlebar style one day, but my mustache is very thin and sparse, so I'm skeptical about its potential. However, I won't give up on it quite this soon. I'll give it at least some 6 months, and then I'll see what can or can't be done about it. I should be able to at least get small curls at the ends of my natural pencil stache. And hey, that might be cute, or something.
I think the short handlebar is the best overall, I think the natural look is I guess the most "manly", Ive never been a fan of the big handlebars myself, but still looks awesome brother.
Hello greg, I'm currently catching g many of your vids, I'm changing over from a long U tamed Furman how That had final got my goat. Greg, my goal is to attempt a “Hungarian”. If I don’t reach terminal length too soon I’m probably 3-4 months out from that. Would love to see you do your version of Hungarian with what you currently have.
I like the large handlebar. I've tried doing what you do but after a couple hours, my handlebars curl forward and I look like I'm going to ram someone with mustache points sticking straight out. I'd love any pointers you might have.
@@BeardbrandAlliance Yes. I give the ends a little twist to get them to stay together. I have twisted both, clockwise and counter but they still roll forward like horns or something.
Hey Greg! Thanks for all the videos. Would love it if you would make a video of different ways you put your hair up. Watched your 30 day cardio video and wish I had some variable ways of putting my hair up when it was long, or even just how to do a proper manbun. I have short hair now, but maybe one day I'll get crazy again. :D
I'm still at an impasse as to whether or not I should trim the centre of my mustache. I don't wanna completely screw it up when I eventually accidentally make it asymmetric and try to balance it out but it's pretty irritating to have to adjust it every time i take a sip of water.
I used 2 do the long curles but now Ive cut my mustach short like a chavalire style I havent decided if I wanna grow back my curles or not cause now I went from a big long thick beard for almost 6-7 years to no beard n now Im doing chops I dont know which would look better with the chops chaviler or long curles
I like to have a handlebar and I have the length but can't fix it in place for more than half an hour. People ar always saying i'm walrussing it even though I stood in front of the mirror for 15 min styling it...
"I'm Greg Berzinsky and I'm so awesome my mustache has a mustache"

Greg, over the past two years you've had an immense impact on my beard styling. Thanks very much.
We appreciate the kind words! Thanks for supporting Greg and the channel.

Greg, I never fail to learn something new whenever I watch your videos. Such a wealth of great info.
a video had to be made about this ?
@@MrMdevaney I’m so happy 😀 thanks 😂joy 😢😢😅h 7:23
The large presentation handle bar looks the coolest in my opinion.
If Zeus existed... this guy would be him.

Great video on styling your mustache
This is definitely a motto I use: A stray hair today is part of your perfect beard tomorrow
Thats an awesome motto Thomas. Thanks for watching.

Love it Thomas! I use this one "a stray is only for a day"
I use to say "there`s no stray in the hay".

The large is dope, makes your beard look more complete
Thanks as I am growing a beard for the first time at the age of 68yr because of the lockdown good information
Awesome. Ive got that same wider, open real estate, facial shape, and growth. And i prefer to cultivate a good bit too. Seeing that styling of the stache for both an easy look, and keeping the hair out of my mouth, while looking groomed. Is really a lifesaver. Thank you man.
You didn’t have in this video what I was looking for, but you gave me some priceless tips. Thank you!
I like the larger handlebar. I’m new to this so it’s all an experiment. Thank you for the tips. I will watch this several times.

Definitely the full whiskers. If you have a stache that epic, you should be showing it off!
Learned a lot, no BS KEEP IT UP. You're the best on UA-cam...
I think your face shape, hair texture and color lends itself well to the larger handle bar .
Brilliant! Going to try this style tomorrow. I'm team trim the center stache. I just never know where to stop.
The larger handlebar looks awesome!
inspirational ! when this covid lockdown finally ends I shall mustache to be proud of !

Long handlebar always kicks ass! And in the case of the handlebar, kicking ass is always good!

I can't help myself, I must say you are a very handsome man with facial hair, though I'm sure you've heard it before. Great information, thank you
My vote is for the large presentation handlebar. To me it looks the most dressed up moving up from nice beard to WOW, check out that guy's great beard
Greg, you are such an awesome, down to earth guy! Love watching you vids.
The large presentational handlebar 😎❤️
Wow... great tips Greg. My moustache is nearing your size, but not lengthwise yet. The small handle bar works me.

Any reccommendations to soften a thick wiry mustache. Also to tame it as it always keeps sticking out instead of going downwards even with length.
Greg, I like the small handlebar but you really rock the big handlebar.

One word....straw. trim a little at a time. 1/8" -- a weeks worth of growth. You can go back with another pass
Greg your mustache would look awesome in a beardstache too!!!!
That’s a good looking man and I’m straight
Thanks man
You look extra kind with the short handlebar :)
These videos are very useful 👍
Long Presentation, Handle Bar Moustache Magnificent! 😎🤙
Looks nice! For some reason my hairs will not curl well...maybe too thick...then they tend to point straight outwards....and that looks horrible.
Sometimes the hair doesn't always do what you want. Try adding some heat into your grooming routine and see if that helps.
