    I think the most important thing about “sudden wealth” or making increasing amounts of money is to avoid lifestyle creep.
    My mom likes to laugh at me for still living like a college student now that I’m making decent money, but I have debt to take care of and you surely won’t see me struggling when it’s time for me to retire! -Akeiva

    Yes I've been saving with Wells Fargo and have been frustrated with the stagnant .2 cents here and .5 cents there. SMH

    Always pay yourself before you pay others , start investing in yourself or your busines . Set goals to purchase more assets vs liabilities. And pay off all debts !

    As far as student loans, they can be deferred, which means they can put it on hold until you can afford to start paying them. It will not affect your credit negatively.
    Depending on the bank, you can call them and ask them to lower the interest on your credit card.

    • @missbehelpful
      @missbehelpful  5 років тому

      Definitely ALWAYS ask for lower rates! Be careful with deferring and not making payments though because the interest is still be applied and making the amount you owe increase higher even though your bill says you don’t owe nothing. I recommend always sending something even if it’s only $20 because that can cancel out the interest charges and you think it’s nothing but it adds up and compounds over time! Thanks for this comment!!!

    Can you explain CD accounts? Wells Fargo recently suggested I open one up after 2 years of me being banking with them 😑... but I'm not sure about how that type of account works. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELPFUL VIDEOS!!!

    • @arleneaugustahair8393
      @arleneaugustahair8393 5 років тому

      Emelisa Griggs honestly, if you can join a Credit Union, you will get better rates. As far as a CD (Certificates of Deposit), you get interest from leaving the money in there for a certain amount of time. The usual amount most CDs require is $1,000 to put into it.
      I usually tell people to save up $1,000 in a savings account and put it in a CD. Keep the process going until you have about 5 CDs. Continue to save money in your savings account and every time your CD matures add the money from your savings account to it and start it over again.

    I tried to negotiate with capital one w/ annual fee of 39. The would not budge. So I close that account. Even though that was my longest credit I had a hard hit on my credit

      LifewithMz.Sweat If it’s your oldest account then you’ll def feel that hit. A good alternative would be now to get your spouse or parent to add you as an authorized user on their oldest card IF THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE haha
