It’s a tradition with my family now to watch The Honeymooners on every New Year’s Day. Could watch it over and over and still laugh as if it was the first time watching. I remember getting Jungle Juice in the little milk cartons....I had forgotten about them lol. That and the Fat Albert candy....they were in a box about the size of the cracker Jacks boxes....taffy candy, and prizes. so much fun. I had uncles, one on each side of my family, that owned stores, so extra treats were not unheard of. :)
I remember walking down the road to the corner store and they always had tons of candy right when you walked in and I would get all kinds in my little brown paper bag. I loved the suckers that looked like bottle rockets that had the wax stuff at the bottom. I didn’t like the wax part but the sucker was good lol. Oh and the sixlets, candy cigarettes, etc. those were some good times, can’t trust anyone to let your kids walk and go to the store like that anymore though 🙁. Very sad world we live in now. I am writing them every day....and finishing them off with a "!" to make sure I highlight how important these are to remember! Thank you! Also....I don't smoke, but my husband does. Cigarettes here are now between $18 and $20 a pack depending on where you buy them. smh. Ridiculous! $558-$620 a month on a pack a day! Ouch!

My favorite summer memory as a child was visiting my extended family here in Ohio. Since we were military we moved and lived in other states (mostly coastal) and if they came to see us we spent every day that wasn’t raining at the beach or pool. I remember going and getting my dad a pack of cigarettes for about the same price but I had to take a note with me 🤣. I remember them being a lot cheaper on base. I do smoke although I’m trying to quit and it’s crazy how much they are now and I definitely don’t want to know how they are in some other states. #eyes. #tires/tink. Love ya sis ❤️💜

I have an infection in my breast lymph node and it is so painful😨😨 I really thought that the doctor would write some painkillers too but NO! Tryin' here to stay positive👍
The Sultan of Swat! Yes, love the Sandlot! During the summer, my grandpa would give me and my cousin each a dollar or two to walk down to the penny candy store and we'd each get a paper bag filled with candy.
