I noticed the same thing. they were running out ahead of their Mamas. I would just expect a newborn to follow for a while..There is probably a good reason in nature for that🦬🍀
@prairieborn, I have been watching African wildlife for just over five years. Hoof stock have to be able to run away from predators soon after being born. I assume that the red dogs are running for the same reason.
makes sense due to the fact that are prey animals and baby's need to be able to keep up with the herd or they will get eaten by predators

Congratulations on the babies. Your red dogs are about the color of white tail fawns without the white spots of course. Congratulations on the rain. Where I am here in eastern Iowa we have had some really heavy rains, one of them was 7 in. in one night. I wish we could have shared with you. Good luck on the rest of the babies.

@@charlenedulmage2041 Not typically, but in breeding livestock sometime you do if you line breed. For Bison it's probably not a good idea since the gene pool is already limited. But two of those calves should be out of Big Joe that are now in Dunbar's herd. That's what I mean...hope they are girls.

That's fantastic!!! How wonderful!! I knew you had 1 new one, but 3 is astounding!! The rain is turning things green again and there's a chance all the females may have a calf even Eleanor!! Things are definitely looking up! Praise the LORD! You are most definitely right, nature has a way of taking care of itself. I do believe the chickens are a too big for Brooks to hold now.
