Dedo Mraz is a communist version of Svaty Mikulas. Religion was not accepted by communist regime, in some cases even persecuted, therefore to keep the tradition they came up with Dedo Mraz version which literally means "grandpa frost". On the other hand Santa Claus is not a religious figure unlike Svaty Mikulas (Saint Nicholas - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas).
When you said : tyčinky is something that I could eat when I'm bored or have nothing to do it's actually the same way as we do it 😂 And I must say, you can read very good in Slovak ❤️

A lot of sweets from Nestlé JOJO line of sweets are also good, you should try some. Keep up the good work! Nech sa ti darí!👍
Thank you Michal . I'll try maybe there'll be another video. 😊🙋🏽♀️
Oh thank you
Hi I am from slovakia and I love everyone snacks in this video
PS: your pronunciation is perfect
ďakujem! 😉😉
Jeej, som rada, že ti naše sladkosti chutia. 😍
23:21 Fun fact: Vinea was created by Ján Farkaš in Modra in 1973. City of Modra is famous for Ľudovít Štúr (famous Slovak writer), wine, traditional pottery and Vinea. instagram.com/p/CG90cNSH1QN/?igshid=1wr27gnb25rvk. You can see an abandoned factory where Vinea was invented. Photo was taken on 2nd of September 2020. Sorry for my english. I’m not a fluent speaker.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing these with me 😏
Nice ate i like your hair so beautiful and natural
Thank you Ann! Nahiyang sa lamig dito haha 😂
Nevedela som že niekto natočí ochutnávku našich pochutiniek..Som rada že si to natočila 💞podporíš tým Slovensko 💞❤️ ďakujeme
Ďakujem aj ja 😉🙋🏽♀️
I'm from Slovakia🇸🇰 It's nice when you're trying to learn our language, even though we have a bit of a complicated spelling😄🤗
I want to learn English💗, but it's also not easy for me😂🥵
Hello Simona, just keep practicing and you will be able to speak english without problem too. I think you are doing good now, keep it up! :)
Juj ale robis chutky, mne sa uz aj sniva o kupovani sladkosti na slovensku. Cely obsah tvojho sacku je super. Margot je moja najoblubenejsia cokoladka, ano je v nej rum a soja .
Ahoj kim!! I have a slovak husband too lol. We’re planning to go there for vacation.I hope, would like to meet you& bring you some filipino goodies from dubai 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ohh that would be lovely! 💚💚
Very good
Ďakujem
Horalky is definitely the best. Have you tried Mata? It's from same producer, but mint flavored. It's my second favorite.
Mata not yet i will 😉
I just find your chanel on youtube and I am absolutly in love 😍 you are very cute and funny ... I live with Polish guy in England (we met there before 5 years) and we would like to move this year to Slovakia thats why I am interesting how you learned read in Slovak ? You are really good in reading ..
Basically, just listen to my husband speak, he talks to me in Slovak. I try to use words as much as possible. I read books even I dont understand hahaha and I surround myself with Slovak-speaking people so I recognize the sounds. I think that is the best 😉 Goodluck on your BF im rooting for him. It is a hard language 😉
I think that Kim´s advice is good but what I would maybe suggest to go with that is to learn also from some lessons why something is in that sentence and the usage of the word. It really helps later with more complex sentences
I'm from Philippines but I'm living here in Czech Republic!
Hello Timmy Yap! Where are you in Czech? I have been to Prague couple of times and it's a beautiful city too 😍
@@ChasingKimberly outside Prague.. I have a friend in BREZNO Slovakia, and I'm really want to go there but now the situation is sucks because of pandemic 😥😥
@@timmyyap7581 yea things are crazy right now. hopefully in the future will be better and you will get to visit your friend again 😉
I highly recommend mila ❤️ I’m from Slovak and I love it
👍🏽
I am from Slovakia and this video is good
Thank you :)
Try Pernik.
i will try definitely in the future 😉
Vrakunsky
Dedo Mraz is a communist version of Svaty Mikulas. Religion was not accepted by communist regime, in some cases even persecuted, therefore to keep the tradition they came up with Dedo Mraz version which literally means "grandpa frost". On the other hand Santa Claus is not a religious figure unlike Svaty Mikulas (Saint Nicholas - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas).
Yea I figured now! Thanks for the information Igor, Slovakia even though a small, but a really interesting country 😉😉
When you said : tyčinky is something that I could eat when I'm bored or have nothing to do it's actually the same way as we do it 😂 And I must say, you can read very good in Slovak ❤️
haha and most of these days, I could eat tyčinky as I am bored :D Thanks for watching my video! Glad you liked it :)
Inak veľmi dobre vyslovuješ slova po Slovensky👏🏻😸😉
Ďakujem 💚🙋🏽♀️
Horalky/peanut flavour..tatranky looks same but many fillings..
I like Mila as well....my bf sent me one Mila and 10 different flavours of Milka chocolates. I love waffle and chocolates...hahaha.
Wow your BF is a keeper! Hahaha :) I like Milka as well :)
I highly recommend pistaciové Deli
I haven't tried, I will find it and try. Thanks 😊😊
in poland góralki are popular too.
I'm from slovakia and i like your videos. You are in Bratislava? You are in Košice? You aee in Prešov? I don't know but your videos is cool. :DDD And mz name is Mikuláš. Lol

Thank you Adam :)
Im from czech nase horalky a dalsi tatranki sou nejlepsi great video 💚👌👌
ďakujem klaudie 😉😉
I'm happy that you like Mila, it's my favorite and I recommend, try LINA, there are 3 types - dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and nuts.. I mostly like milk chocolate and nuts, but when somebody gives me one with dark chocolate, my hands are grabbing without me knowing :D if you like Mila, I think you would like LINA too.
Okay I will try Lina as well :) Thanks for the suggestion :)
Chrumky sú najlepšie❤👍
My favourite is the first one you had
Ahoj ja som slováčka a veľmi sa mi páčia tvoje videá. A ako milo to vyslovuješ 😘🙃
Ďakujem 😊. Som rada že sa ti páčia moje vídea 💚💚💚.
i appreciate your husband choice of snacks its quite a good representative sample i like also kavove rezy od sedita its similar to kavenky
😉
iam not sure if all the snacks in video are really from slovakia ( i live in czechia and they are there too) . but definitelly are really good all of them
Yes some of them are also from Czech 🇨🇿 it's also in title. Czechoslovakia 💚💚💚😊
Little Jesus is place to Santa Claus in Slovakia bringing presents on 24.12. and St. Mikulaš/Nicolaus is another one bringing presents 5.12. in evening or 6.12. in morning
Som zo Slovenska❤️😊 ide ti dobre slovenčina😃😊
I practically never eat Margot by itself but my mom bakes a "cake" (koláč) from it...actually she made it yesterday for Christmas too...and it's really good. Even people who do not like Margot, really like the cake.
And I am also gluten intolerant, so even though I do like the waffers, I have to avoid them and I would choose Bananas in chocolate and Deva from your package:') (btw. I never met a foreigner who liked Deva haha)
Yea! After these video, I had a break out from too much gluten but it was one time-big time pleasure 😂😂 And yes, Deva is absolutely a big No No No, taste is just so strong and weird. Funny though, because the packaging looks nice and tempting.
@@ChasingKimberly maybe the problem is, that you tasted lot of sweets before Deva. It is very special and I like it sometimes with coffe (I drink coffee without sugar).
Try also Anita wafers. They are similar to Mila but different fillings.
I haven't seen that one!
I don't like Margot bar alone either, but the Margot cake (Margotkový koláč) is one of my favourite :3
i havent try margotkovy kolač, is it sold anywhere i bratislava?
@@ChasingKimberly nope, I don't think you can buy it, you have to make it :D there are tons of recipes on the internet, just tipe "Margot rezy" or "Margot koláč" :3
Ja som zo Slovenska. Slovensku je podľa mňa pekný štát a som pyšná že žijem práve na Slovensku ❤️❤️🇸🇰🇸🇰
Áno Slovensko je krásne 💚💚💚🇸🇰
You made me curious about Horalky and Slovakia chips. I live in the Netherlands and we don’t have them here.
They are really good! If you ever visit Slovakia someday, make sure to try!
Yes . I agree with you . We have really good snacks. But mi favourite is Horálka.
I like Horalky too! :)
@@ChasingKimberly :)
You like the same snacks I like and dislike the same ones I don't. You have good taste.
You can also try Perník, Rumba, Sójová tyčinka or Sójový rez.
@@MatejSunavec Hello Matej! Thanks! Majority of the slovak snacks are not that bad but definetely I have some favorites 😂 I will try these recommendations next time! Maybe I will make another video about it 😉
I am from Slovakiaaaa !!!! 🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰
Nice video! ❤️❤️❤️
ďakujem ❤️❤️
I most like you!!
Mohla by si spraviť výlet po Slovensku keď skončí koronavírus
Ďakujem , určite budem cestovať po slovensku keď sa skončí toto neštastie.
@@ChasingKimberly anoo. Moc rada by som ťa stretla
Mňaaam až mám chuť si ísť niečo dať😛😋
Treba však sú sviatky 😊
Super video
Ďakujem Jakub 😊🙋🏽♀️
The reason you don't like Margot is it contains marzipan (marcipán).
And again I very appreciate your pronounciation! Even if you sometimes don't know exactly what you are reading ;)
That's true, most of the times I have no idea what I am reading hahaha 😂
True I’m actually eating horalku right now
😂👍🏽
Chyba mi tam veľa dalších pochutiniek zo Slovenska ale inak
dobre video :D
Bude asi druhá časť 😄
Dedo Mráz chodí v Rusku. Na Slovensku nosí darčeky na Vianoce Ježiško☺️😉
super
Je to super video ďakujem
Aj ja ďakujem 😊🙋🏽♀️
@@ChasingKimberly Natočila by si potom ako ochutnávaš langoše prosím ?
skvele video si mi narobila chute na sladke❤️🍫
😂😋💚
hello I'm from the Czech Republic and Margot and bananas in chocolate i don't like much 😄
Btw: I appreciate your Czech because Czech is a complex and difficult language 😇
haha yes! I don't like that banana coated with chocolate, very weird 🤣
Slovak chips ,,Slovakia" IS my favourite ships on world. Its realy realy good.
yeees
Yeah, Horalky are very popular in Slovakia. It's like "a sweet from childhood". It's one of the treats that are often allowed by parents. :D
Margot is a marzipan bar with rum and chocolate topping. The taste is different , but it's okay when you don't like it. I like it much, I'm originally a Slovak girl😇
Definitely! :)
My first reaction to Deva was pretty similar to yours, but I found in store Deva Milkino, 1000% better than Milka or Orion. Also you have to try Hašlerky, Im curious, because people either love them or hate them, like sushi. I personally love them.
Oh I havent heard about Hašlerky, I need to try it! Thanks for the tip :)
Margot/coconut and rum aroma..but there is more Margot bars in a shop..
Horálky and Slovakia Chips is very nice
Chrumky is life 👌😂
😂
Inside of banana in chocolate is banana jelly and we have the same in strawberry and black cherry flavor. Anyways i love your videos keep going
Thanks Bronislava 😉😉 I am glad you liked my video. I hope you will keep watching more 😊
