available used on ebay. I had no idea of casio, found one sitting on clearance at the Cambodia airport in Phnom Penh last month (jan2024) at the Casio dealer. Paid $325USD, had no knowledge of what the watch was, it had likely been sitting there for years. It didn't come with the proper paperwork or box, probably long gone. The tattered tag showed its original price was $649USD, it was marked down 50%. Not a screaming deal but basically a NOS border-line vintage Gulfmaster.
2:42 'it syncs up to 6 times a day'. Not exactly: it tries to sync 6 times at night beween 1 and 6 AM I believe, depending on the time zone (or 2 AM depending on DST). When a reception is succesful it doesn't sync again until the next day (so if all's good it syncs 1 time/day). Of course you can try manual syncing whever you want. 😉
that +-15 min per month happen only if watch is under most extreme abuse ... like a lot of impacts/G forces etc...
Casio promises exact same accuracy for older Rangeman.... if not using Multiband
according to my measurements deviation was 1,2-1,5 seconds in ~2 months when used 24/7 in normal day to day life
That's pretty solid accuracy out of that Rangeman.
How to buy strap GWN -1000f
Does anybody know if the red version of this watch is “limited edition?” I see it on eBay for way more than the other colors. And on amazon, when it was available, it was listed for $800.
It is not,you can buy and change the colors,bands straps,i have black.changed to yellow,altough the bezels and straps are pretty expensive...so if you find a good deal,you can buy it regards to colour,that can be changed

This watch looks similar yet slightly different from the Q1000-7AER Gulfmaster.
What's the different between the two besides the design of the display?
Which one would you say is a better buy?
The Q1000 has a depth sensor. Apart from that, another difference that makes the price differs is that the Q1000 has sapphire crystal glass. The 1000B only comes with mineral glass.

When saw your video I was like: " Yes, finally I will understand for what this bezel is about, it must me smt important". 😀😀😀 Your reviews are absolutely great though!
Apparently it's got something to do with the Barometric Pressure Differential. The second hand will point to an Over/Under area on the bezel. At least that's what I read online, but I still don't really know what that means hahaha!
The bezel gives an indication on the barometric pressure for incoming inclement weather. 👍

who cares about the features of this watch when there are alot of people that own it and don't even know how to set the time and date, the most elemental feature of any watch, maybe you should start by showing the basic function of time and date setting, then you can dive-in into the sophisticated other bells and whistles.
Download a manual from the internet, it's not rocket science
Pretty silly or ignorant comment. I bought mine two months ago in Cambodia and they gave me the wrong instructions and no box, NOS product. Turn your watch upside down and the bezel has 5971 in a box. Google Casio 5971 manual and a PDF comes up with complete instructions for the watch. It took two hours to sort it out but, it's not rocket science to learn about your watch, how to use it.
Can you show how can you sink manually R/C time.. I charged my watch after battery is finished and lost all settings.. After i charged the watch every thing is working but i lost the R/C signal..I tried to do what ever you said about manually sink but right corner button on R/C mod is nonfunctional ...
Did you correctly set the home city? Because if your watch lost all the settings then the home city is Tokyo. Set the home city to the time zone you are in.
