    I love the use of driftwood to give the larger plants more secure purchase against the planter, and the addition of monstera adansonii to the top! This is beautiful! I hope that the plants thrive.

    That’s a really nice arrangement! I love the use of the wood, and the monstera is also a nice touch that similarly pushes the scale of the overall design.

      @@TheUrbanNemophilist Did it work better? how long did it take until the water below had to be removed so it wouldn't overflow? Im thinking of gifting one to my girlfriend, but im unsure if the problems of the first version have been resolved.

    • @TheUrbanNemophilist
      @TheUrbanNemophilist  Місяць тому

      @@samuelneubourg8584 the seepage is very low in the new Vertplanter and plants dry out faster than the earlier one. So unfortunately it doesn’t work for me.

    Beautiful scape as always. You are very creative 😊 I couldn’t find a follow up video? I find this is quite often the case which leads me to believe they don’t work or are very hard work. I got a different version about 1 year ago and the setup slowly fell to pieces and dripped water everywhere. Would love to know how this 2nd generation went as I love the idea. Thank you 🙏

    • @TheUrbanNemophilist
      @TheUrbanNemophilist  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks. The seepage is less and moss and plants will dry out if not misted a couple of times a day. High maintenance.

      Well this version had a very low seepage leading to drying up of the moss and plants. It might have worked if I had kept it enclosed like my diy terra-planter. Thanks

    I have this idea of fitting mine with a small pond pump and spout to make it both a planter, and mini fountain. Do you think that would help encourage a bit more evaporation so there wasn’t so much of an overflow/spillage situation?

  • @ruhsexperimentsgliesperimentid

    I have something like this ver planter, but inside is not "painted" and the water end very fast... but I have to try the same

    I guess it's a bad sign for the planter performance.

    • @TheUrbanNemophilist
      @TheUrbanNemophilist  4 місяці тому +2

      Yes not very encouraging results. The second generation has a low seepage compared to the 1st generation which was very high. Needless to say it became high maintenance again due to the need for frequent misting and hence dismantled.

      @@TheUrbanNemophilist Ok. But what did you think was the problem? Watching other videos on YT about this type of "reverse pots" I got the impression that water seeps through it too quickly. In the sense that it seeps so quickly that it accumulates in the base at the bottom, while it should seep at +/- such a rate so that, for example, the moss growing on it does not dry out completely, but so that the excess has time to evaporate.
