    I was expecting that the second game would be different. Story wise it makes a lot of sense. You are ruling over large city of tens of thousands of people, not a survivors camp. I like it.

      It does feel like the natural evolutionary step. While I loved the individual human impact of the first game - I don't think they could have just done the same thing but more modern. They had to go bigger, or very different - and they've done both.

    they should've made it more personal but with more detail mechanics, let the player be a person living in the city of the frostpunk universe, this war of mine in frostpunk, with conflicts, problem solving, missions, management, assigning tasks, survival, etc

      This War of Mine in a Frostpunk setting would actually be insane - and would probably turn me into an emotional wreck.

    I swear this is a reupload. Also I loved/hated this game. I could not get the hang of it at all but was very compelled about the story.

    Are there difficulty or scenario customization settings?

    • @ginxtv
      @ginxtv  День тому +3

      Yes - there are several difficulties (for both campaign and utopia mode).
      Utopia can be customised by picking the main objective, map, difficulty, and starting communities - though objective and starting communities can both be randomised

    Does it have a short time limit like the first game, or can you theoretically continue forever as long as you don't die?

    • @ginxtv
      @ginxtv  6 годин тому

      Game length is definitely longer. You do have a final goal in Utopia Builder - though I didn't reach it in the time I played 'cos I kept dooming my people. Even if the game 'stops' after reaching that goal, the game launches with mod support so I doubt it'll take long before any restrictions are lifted and you can continue forever.
      (You might run out of materials, but the reserves in your colonies are pretty massive so they'll keep you going for a while. Again, a mod will probably come along to make them endless)

      @@ginxtv ALright, that's definitely a huge improvement. I got given frostpunk 1 as a gift and didn't enjoy it too much because the campaign was so short that it became stressful and fell into a "there is only one viable way to play" hole, while Endless mode felt a bit shallow.
      This sounds like it'll actually be worthwhile for me :)

    Is FP2 F2P?
